The Windows app tries to edit any existing core cfg files under ...\retroarch\config to do exactly what you asked. If for some reason that isn't working, you can manually use the Retroarch gui to set this. Start Retroarch with a game running for the console you want to affect. Hit F1 to return to the gui, then make sure you are in "Quick Settings", scroll down to "Onscreen Overlay" and select it, scroll down to "Overlay Preset" and select it. You can then navigate to the overlays directory under the Retroarch installation directory. You should have cfg files there you can select to set a default bezel.

I use WinSize2 to handle automatic resizing and placement of windows, pop-ups, etc. It works great for the 'Manage Emulators', and other LB windows. http://winsize2.sourceforge.net/en/index.html

Can LB pass variables to AutoHotkey?

You are SUCH a tease. -
Each directory requestor that pops up when you are selecting a directory displays what you should select. Example for Retroarch below. You should always select the install/parent directory unless directed otherwise.

Man, that is literally fantastic news! -

Totally agree. Features are great, but the boring stuff behind the scenes that allow more 3rd party support, expansion, features, etc. Appreciate your efforts, as always. -

Holy smokes! -
Sorry, I was referring to the Attract Mode front-end. It is similar to BigBox, http://attractmode.org/
-
I use it for LaunchBox, my Attract Mode and Emulation Station installs. Generally I feel it works better than the built in LB scraper, but your mileage may vary. No database will probably ever be totally complete. Be aware the free account is limited in the amount per day you can scrape, but unless you plan on scraping 24x7, you will probably never hit the limit.

Holy moly! I've been waiting on something like this. I did a private proof on concept very similar to this long ago, but never went as far as you have (because LIFE!). Can't wait to see this, and how it can be extended to other platforms/emus. Thanks so much for the excitement. -
Is your BenQ monitor aspect ration 4:3? If so, that is your issue. The bezels are made for a 16:9 ratio on wide screen monitors only.
-
Yes, you will still display the bezels. The bezels are built for 16:9 landscape mode, so I would disable/remove them if you plan on using portrait mode.

I'm running 2004 here with no issues, but 2004 does have issues on certain hardware combos. Having said that, if you update and notice any problems, just roll back to the previous release of Windows. Make a backup first!

Sweet! I have updated my files and uploaded them to the downloads section. They now match the version number of your release. -
Mednafen and Atari Lynx: is it possibler to rotate the screen?

Did you try ALT + O? -
Sounds like two issues. Sine it is showing the Cabal bezel by default, I would assume 'Save config on exit' is set to true in the main Retroarch config. I would edit the retroarch.cfg file manually when Retroarch isn't running to remove that reference. As far as no bezels not showing for N64 and NES, you need to manually verify two things. First, even though you have downloaded a no-intro set, you should manually verify the cfg files under ...\retroarch\config\<core name>\ match the exact names for your roms. Second, verify the <core name> that the cfg files are under match the core you are using for those games. A core name mismatch is the most likely issue.

I'm on 2004.
-
You have a PM.
-
My test was exiting AAE.exe directly via the ESC key. No issues here that way. Very strange.
-
Although there were some differences in the graphics section between your ini file and mine, I was able to change my settings to match yours and continue to have no issues. I am leaning toward a video driver issue with your AMD card and AAE. This would not be surprising since AAE is so old. I assume you have tried different video driver versions to see if any change the behavior?
-
No.
-
Very strange. I have AAE installed and configured here on both my Windows 10 machines (updated to the latest 2004 build) and don't have any problem exiting and not having the resolution go back to what it should. Perhaps someone with the problem show their AAE.ini file and I can see if I see any obvious difference which may contribute. Also, I am running Nvidia cards on both my machines. What video cards are in the machines with problems?

I thought about making the version the same as yours, but wasn't sure what would be more confusing to the user. I did make a note which version my set matched on your side. I'll start using your version #'s going forward. I also plan to keep things in sync as you go forward, so no worries there.
