  1. Looks like one of the revisions of CityHunter.
  2. I also have been a RocketLauncher user pretty much forever. I still have it on my Hyperspin installation, and I had it integrated with LaunchBox, but last week I migrated the LaunchBox machine off RocketLauncher. As has been said, bezels/overlays are supported by MAME and Retroarch, the two emulators I use, so I don't need RocketLauncher for those. I also converted all the games that were in 7z archives to CHD format for those Retroarch cores that support the CHD format. That was the last reason to stay with Rocketlauncher, again, for the status bar. As for the two other emulators I use with no built-in way of having bezels, I have a custom Autohotkey routine that puts bezels on those as well, so RocketLauncher isn't needed for those either. If the next version of RocketLauncher ever gets released, I'll look at it, but it is doubtful I'll ever go back to it.
  3. Look in the Backups directory to see if a copy of the file you were editing is there. If so, try the latest one. If that one is also corrupt, continue to go back one version until you find one that gets things starting again.
  4. Very nice, @Ateb, thanks for the code and explanation. Just fyi, I had planned on pulling parts of the original bezel update script from Github and creating my own version for my Windows machines. I had originally planned on keeping it to myself because I figured other official team members would eventually port it if demand was high enough. Also, since I have the Linux subsystem installed on all my Windows 10 machines or Cygwin on my Windows 7 machines, I thought about just porting direct RetroPie bash shell code to an equivalent bash script I could run on Windows. What do the people here think would be best? A true console batch file that does not require Cygwin and/or the Linux subsystem on Win10, or a direct port of the bash script to a Windows Retroarch installation?
  5. @voicesinthedark Very interesting. I'll remove that app and do some tests later. I recall getting rid of that app on another Win 10 machine I have that is my Arcade dev box. It doesn't have any controller lag, now that I think of it.
  6. I would like to add I also have random scrapes fail because of an ending like ", The" at the end of rom names, or anything that ends with a comma, then another word or two. This type of rom name has always been problematic with matching the LB DB and/or Emumovies. I even wrote a file renamer script along with my own audit program that shows me very granular results as to missing artwork, manuals, music and/or videos. Anything missing is almost always the difference in a rom beginning, or ending in "The". There are other random missing scrapes, but the one outlines here seems to be the most prevalent with my files. Finally, I also use No-intro files when possible, so loading the LB DB with those names would make me a very happy man. :)
  7. I just purchased one of the new ACEPC Nucs, https://www.amazon.com/ACEPC-Processor-Computer-Ethernet-Dua-Band/dp/B07C1N3W8S I installed LB/BB on it a few nights ago and am almost finished configuring everything. The system came with Windows 10 Home and I don't have xpadder, but I am running a DualShock 4 using the DSWindows driver/setup to allow the DS4 to be seen as a 360 controller. I also have a 3rd party 360 clone controller that is natively seen in Windows 10 as a 360 controller. I have noticed some input lag with this system. I am currently trying to track down if the issue is related to the Intel graphics drivers, the TV I have it connected to, the resolution of Windows and the refresh rate settings in all the OS/apps, or something else. Finally, I am running LaunchBox 8.7 release version.
  8. If you are looking at a purely scripted solution on Windows, I created this as a proof of concept. I still use the Notepad++ "Find in Files" solution when I make my edits because it is so much faster. Here are the steps I use. 1. I download all the bezel files from Github I am interested in. 2. I extract them all. 3. I consolidate the directory structure from each extracted directory into one common hierarchy. 4. I drop the two scripts attached below into the new retroarch\config directory. 5. I double-click the Loop_Bezels.cmd file and wait. After all the edits are complete, I move the contents of the new config and overlay directory contents to my existing retroarch structure. I only move/copy the directories. I don't move the platform cfg and png files found under overlay, except for FBA and MAME related files. This is a personal choice. Do what you want to do for your installation. Note: the new cfg files under the config directory MUST match your rom file names LaunchBox sends to retroarch, so you might need to run one of the popular file renaming utilities to make the cfg files match your rom sets. Loop_Bezels.cmd replace.vbs

  10. It used to be preference, but AMD has really fallen behind in the GPU race along with their drivers. Looks like they have put all their talent into their new Ryzen processors. :)
  11. Assuming you are downloading the bezel packs from their Github page, you will have to mass edit the cfg files for the games using something like Notepad++ so the paths are correct for your installation. The same goes for the platform cfg files, if you use them. I haven't had to adjust the coordinates.

    Mame CHD's

I can tell you how I solve for my missing CHD files. I use the build of MAME called Arcade64. It has a nice gui with different categories, a search function, and finally you can click on any game and do a single audit which will tell you every file that is required to run it. JoJo is like many MAME games. There are versions that do not need the CHDs, and some that do. You can figure out which ones buy using the steps I outlines.
  13. If you plan on using Retroarch for its supported platforms, many of its cores support the MAME compressed hard drive format called CHD. Some other stand alone emulators support their own compressed format. For example PPSSPP supports CSO which is compressed ISO. Here is a great page which lists many of the options. http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Save_Disk_Space_for_ISOs
  14. If the .ini header lists it as version 141.1, you have the latest version.
  15. I just added these to my own configuration and thought others might want them for individual logos vs for just a collection.
  16. I just uploaded it. Just wait for a mod to approve it.
  17. Assuming you are already familiar with RetroArch and do not any issues setting it up, it mainly boils down to personal preference. The regular Arcade MAME core is kept current to the regular MAME release. Some like running regular MAME or one of its variants vs RetroArch because they already have a large number of MAME specific arts files and bezels (you can still use these with RetroArch, but it does take a little work to bring them under the Retroarch structure). Other than what I've mentioned, I wouldn't really be concerned about it. Both work great once you get some experience under your belt.
  18. No problem. There is way too much here for everyone to keep up with. :)
  19. There is a Lightgun ring in Viking's original Silver Ring pack (Silver Ring PlayList_v.1.0). That is why I didn't remake one.
  20. If you can define your parameters a little better, I can pull the info out of the raw MAME listxml output. Do you only want games like Heavy Barrel and its rotary joystick, or do you want that and also games like Tempest that used a true spinner?
  21. Jason and company put up polls every so often, then the users vote on which of the requested features get worked on next. There is no poll at the moment, but an announcement and emails normally go out when the next poll is ready.
  22. No, it isn't just you. That no longer works here either, however, I don't recall if that is by design, or just an item Jason hasn't gotten to yet.
