You may just need to refresh your image cache. Found under Options > Image Cache

The one thing I'll say on this is we have talked, and planned out, at length what we would want to do to revamp our ScummVM implementation to make it more self-sufficient, and it's on our long list of things to do. I can't promise when this will happen, but it's on the list.

LaunchBox for Android attempts to do this for you. If you import all your games together for all regions (you'll probably want to uncheck the Combine Games option), then set the Default Secondary Filter to Region, then when you enter into a platform, you'll be presented with all available regions. This works well as long as your ROMs have the region marked on the files themselves.

For something like this, you would need to download the CTC files, load it up into the CTC, and alter those elements yourself. You would probably need to replace the title element in those two views with a Viewbox that has the title text inside of it. Something like that anyway.

You may want to find out whether you have a regular license or a forever-updates license, before going through the process of upgrading. The vendor would have had to purchase a license just for you, as there's no such thing as a vendor specific license. If you have any questions about your license, you can reach out to support@unbrokensoftware.com

Do it the way you are doing it, but leave the "Auto-Populate this Playlist" option unchecked, as you don't want a dynamic playlist. Close it out, and now you can right click any game (or games) and add them to a playlist. You could also skip the creation step, right click games, and choose Add to Playlist > New Playlist, to create a new one.

LaunchBox for Android does have per-game emulator override options. Select a game to open its game menu and choose Emulator Settings. That will open the Override Platform Emulator Settings, where you can choose a different core for that particular game, or an entirely different emulator, if you choose.

Not sure if it helps, but I ran a test with the folder structure you presented, using the subfolder and folder name options, and it seemed to use the folder names just fine. However, keeping your files in this state can definitely cause you some headaches. You may want to think about switching to a more standard naming convention like no-intro/redump.

Are you trying to do this with LaunchBox for Android or LaunchBox for Windows?

Those two systems should be called: Nintendo Entertainment System Super Nintendo Entertainment System If they are not called that, then those views won't work. Having them named based on LaunchBox standards would solve a lot of theme related issues you may run into like this. Alternatively, if you just want to solve this for CoverBox, you can go into the following folder, and rename the correct platform view files to match the names you have. LaunchBox\Themes\CoverBox\Views\TextGamesView LaunchBox\Themes\CoverBox\Views\TextListView

It's one of those Xamarin.Forms quirks. Essentially, you can't seem to auto-size a grid and tell an image to grow and fit into the container. It's essentially only growing to the size of the actual image, and since your image is small, you end up seeing a small image. I may go back and fix this by setting a static height and width for the grid, that should fix it.

If you are referring to videos playing in LaunchBox, did you make sure that the Show Videos option is turned on? You can find it under Tools > Options > Visuals > Game Details

Beta 3 is out with the following changes: New Feature: You can install and uninstall your Epic Games, GOG, Steam, and Uplay/Ubisoft Connect games from the LaunchBox interface New Feature: Several bindings were added to GameDetailsView to allow you to manage your game installs from the Details pane in LaunchBox (for theme devs) Improvement: Can now filter by storefront using the on-the-fly filter button in LaunchBox Fixed: Can once again download Epic Posters via Import and Download Metadata and Media wizards Fixed: Some images in the carousel preview weren't showing because their file extensions were manually altered Fixed: SystemEventPlugins should now get a SelectionChanged event raised when returning to a view in Big Box (for plugin devs)

Retro Console - BB Theme and more. Custom Logo Version
faeran replied to cemfundog's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
I haven't tried it, but based on what he wrote, you should place his pack inside of this location: \LaunchBox\Themes\Retro Console Light V3\Images\Games\Custom Images 1\[Platform Name]\[image files].png However, looks like his PS3 pack hardly had any images in it (like 33), so it's possible he doesn't actually have images for the games you have, and you need to generate your own using the Retro Console Logo Create.zip, and loading that into the COMMUNITY Theme Creator to generate your own images.- 12 replies

I do believe the easiest way to apply them would be within the app itself. Long press/click on a platform to bring up the context menu, and choose Edit Media.

This depends on which core you are using for your PSX games. Go into Tools > Manage > Emulators. Enter into RetroArch, and click on the Associated Platforms section. Check to see which core you are using for your games. Depending on which core you use, that will determine which config files are used inside of RetroArch. Then you can go into your Emulators\RetroArch\config folder, find the correct core folder, and delete it.

Main window bottom toolbar transparency effect - how to disable?
faeran replied to xsvtoys's topic in Troubleshooting
Good deal. If you want to make sure this new theme will take on new future theme changes to Default more easily, you could delete every xaml file out of your Views folder, other than ControlsView.xaml. This will make your theme fall back to the default theme, other than your one change you made to the controls view/buttons bar. -
XAML support for TargetNullValue and/or FallbackValue
faeran replied to ksherfinski's topic in Pause Themes
You linked to xamarin.forms page but are posting in the pause themes section, which uses WPF. Are you trying to build a pause theme for Big Box? -
Main window bottom toolbar transparency effect - how to disable?
faeran replied to xsvtoys's topic in Troubleshooting
This would probably be the easiest way to get what you want: Make a copy of the Default theme in LaunchBox\LBThemes, call it whatever you like. Go into LaunchBox\LBThemes\[theme name]\Views, and open the ControlsView.xaml file Find this line: <Grid Background="#D0111111"> Switch it to this: <Grid Background="#111111"> In LaunchBox, switch to your new theme. -
Nintendo 3DS Games Open Using 2048 Core, Not Citra
faeran replied to ZackTheSnack's topic in Troubleshooting
This means that when you imported your games, you told LaunchBox to use the 2048 core with RetroArch, as your emulator for 3DS games. @bundangdon is correct that you can adjust this in the Associated Platforms area under your RetroArch emulator (found under Tools > Manage > Emulators). -
Main window bottom toolbar transparency effect - how to disable?
faeran replied to xsvtoys's topic in Troubleshooting
I believe this is just a design choice for the default theme. You would have change the way the bottom bar acts by creating a custom theme, or use one of the themes available within the Tools > Manage LaunchBox Themes window (or here on the forums). -
Beta 2 has been released with the following changes: Improvement: LaunchBox themes can now use theme specific media by creating the same folder structure used in Big Box themes. Fixed: Epic Games Import Wizard is once again working Fixed: Repairing or Updating a theme that is in use via the LaunchBox Themes Manager would sometimes fail to apply the theme correctly Fixed: Corrected Platform Details strings inside of Big Box (introduced in 12.14) Fixed: A Popup within Big Box's Themes Manager was not focusing properly on the selected item within its list (introduced in 12.14) Fixed: FlowImage can now be used inside of LaunchBox Fixed: Preview images inside of LaunchBox's Carousel control could sometimes show up blurry due to bad DPI metadata embedded in the image itself Fixed: Images removed from the Add/Edit Playlist window were not being removed correctly Fixed: In Big Box, the Platform Marquee was not being loaded when returning from a Game view (introduced in 12.14) Fixed: In LaunchBox, videos were not always being displayed correctly in Platform Details

While not the same, LaunchBox for Android has the ability to mark games as favorites, and then list them at the top of your game list.

Only certain platform/filter views will play platform videos, like Wheel with Details. Here's a video showing how you can install themes on LaunchBox for Android:
