  1. Working fine here. Just updated to that version and on Win10 as well. That error is not a LB error its from Windows so that is odd. I would double check your emulator setting in LB Manage Emulators and make sure you are pointing to the correct .exe file. Your Windows is up-to-date correct?
  2. Ah, you are correct. I did not really look at the files of the Paperboy animated one to notice it had a lay file meaning normal Mame style overlay. With that animated GBA you made you could also make several colors of the GBA then set a hotkey to switch the overlay in game. Then you would be able to select a different color systems during game play.
  3. His bezels are for use in Retroarch.
  4. More examples of this in Orions thread. He has done some of these for Mame games. For Paperboy he did moving handlebars.
  5. I have not looked specfically at what folder structure that theme uses but there is likely an image folder in the theme. So look there and it is most likely something akin to: StartupThemes\Custom Startup Image\Images\Platforms\[your exact platform name].jpg I do see in the theme’s thread the creator mentions how to file images is in the ReadMe.txt file. So I would look there.
  6. Why are you using the same image and renaming it for all games? His Startup theme was made to show platform specific and/or game specific control image. So you would just need to have an NES platform named image and it would show the same image for any game launched for NES platform.
  7. Change "auto" to \\.\DISPLAY and then the # of the monitor you want it on 1/2/3/4. So if Mame sees your main monitor as Display 1 your setting would look like below. # # OSD PER-WINDOW VIDEO OPTIONS # screen \\.\DISPLAY1
  8. Not if they are on this forum. LB does not download from the forum. Theme videos come from EmuMovies. That image I posted is from the EmuMovies tab during game import. LB does not host game/game theme videos. So you need a paid EmuMovies account to download them from within the LB UI. Otherwise you have to manually download them and place them in your videos folder.
  9. You are not accidentally unchecking the check box next to the option to create the playlists are you? If you open your \LaunchBox\Data\Playlists folder do you see all the Mame playlist xml files there?
  10. There is not an option to set a default fallback, but LB does now have image priorities for Marquee category. You can set fallback image types. In LB >Tools >Options you will find in the Media section image priorities. Click on Marquee and tick the boxes of the images types you want to use. Then use the Move buttons to individually put them in the order you want them. When a game is missing a Marquee image it will display the next option available. In, addition BB default theme has specific Marquee View that will prioritize Marquee Video and Marquee Images. In the absence of either of those it will default to a Fanart and Clear Logo for the game. If you are using a custom theme you can copy the GameMarqueeView.xaml into the themes \Views folder to get the custom theme to use this feature.
  11. Your likely seeing the difference between a "Gameplay" video and a "Theme" video. The ones with the fly-in and some images as you put it are actually full screen videos with all that artwork in the video itself. Your games that just have the plain old game play videos means you need to download "Theme - Video" if the game has one available. Not all games do.
  12. No, It all depends on your video priority setting in LB. In LB go to >Tolls >Options and you will see a priorities are for image priorities and video priority. You can tick the video types you want used and then you can move those up or down to put them in priority order. The theme will show the top priority 1st and if a game is missing that video type it will show the next priority.
  13. You only need the most current version. Older versions are there as some users do not upgrade LB by choice or their license expired. Newest version of theme may have features that do not work on older version of LB/BB. That is why Jason specifically put what LB version is required in each version of the theme.
  14. Combined threads. There was already a thread for this. Another one was not needed.
  15. You just change the view to a coverflow view. Each theme can support multiple view types depending on what the theme creator made. You can either change the view type in the options page under "Views" or bind a key or button for the option to Change View.
  16. locked the thread because it has become unproductive. You are just repeating the same rants. So need for this thread to go on I want to ensure we can properly address your issues. I recommend you start a new thread and please keep it focused on reporting the specific issue and what steps you take to reproduce the issue. Let’s start fresh.
  17. 1. Just an FYI Neil was a member of our moderation team for many many years and still hangs around to assist. Assuming Neil is some lurker is quite laughable. 2. Neil was simply advising images can be hosted directly in your post. It as simple as dragging and dropping the image. However, if you feel it is easier for you to open a 3rd party site, upload an image, click and copy the link then return to the forum and post the link than that is fine. We understand with LB/BB not running as smoothly as you want this can cause frustrations. The best thing to do though is just come on the forum, let us know what is happening. Again the more details the better and let us help figure out if it is indeed a LB issue or something unique. Stable releases are not always going to be bug free. To expect that is unrealistic. I have never seen any software I have used over the past couple decades be bug free with updates. Something always slips through devs and testers. The logs do not show anything glaring. There are a few 403 errors. Then again, I am not the most savvy with deciphering our debug logs. Can you go into you \LaunchBox\Data folder and see if you have an ImageQueUu.xml file in that folder? If so remove it and then test scraping again. I am not sure it will help, but that file being corrupted has caused some users issues scraping.
  18. Not sure about LB getting worse each iteration, but new features do bring out bugs. That is why the team is constantly working and providing updates. We did go through a decent work through with the EmuMovies team to work out some recent scraping issues LB users were having with EmuMovies media. That update seems to have users back on track. Countless users are enjoying the new versions with little to no issues. So it is not really a case of the sky is falling, but we can understand your frustration. Can you provide some specific details as to what exactly is going on. "Latest updates crashes on image search" - What steps are you taking? Does this affect every platform you search for images for or only certain ones? By crashing are you getting errors or is LB just locking up and you have to force close? "Mame Importer just freezes" - What import option are you using (Drag and Drop, Scan Folder, Full Mame Set Importer)? The more details you can provide on your issues the better we can troubleshoot.
  19. Most games run through Tekno should not need admin rights any more. At least if you are using more updated dumps of the games and updated TeknoP. Sonic Racing runs fine without admin rights on my set-ups. As an FYI we recommend never running LB/BB as admin. It can cause more issue with emulators other than elevation issues.
  20. You should uncheck the option to "Skip Non-Arcade Games" when importing for Mame.
  21. Sure. In LB go to >Tools >Options. Once that opens in the left side look for the >Related Games section. In each of the Similar, Related, and Possible Ports sections you can add a new option to filter out those platforms. Just scroll to the bottom of the existing listing and select the appropriate cells. All those options are customizable.
  22. Version 12.10 - Released April 27, 2022 Improvement: The EmuMovies API has been overhauled to fix the stability issues and improve performance
  23. Merges threads since you already had a topic going with this issue. No need for a second thread. Updated title to reflect the issue also affects 12.11.
