  1. This is because of how the Pinball FX3 software works. It requires a cabinet code that can only be obtained directly from Zen Studios. Google "Pinball FX3 cabinet code" and the first linked item will direct you.
  2. The backups are only as good as the data at the time of the save. That's why there are typically several with different dates and times. So if you make changes and LB does not close properly to be able to save the new updates, well an old backup file is not going to have the new data. Also if you copied over the whole zipped folder you did not need to do that. I advised all you needed to do was copy the Settings.xaml. That file contains only your LB settings and not your platform and playlist data.
  3. Because something caused that file to go corrupt. Typical reason for this is LB/BB was closed improperly and the Settings.xaml did not get to save correctly upon closing.
  4. The warning pretty much sums it up. Go to your \Backups folder and open one of the older backup zipped files. Copy just the Setting.xaml located in the zip into your \Data folder and place it in your \Lauchbox\Data folder and override the corrupt one. Make sure LB is closed first.
  5. I am not. It has been requested like I said, but by only a very small handful of users. Additionally anytime something with marquee does make it onto a poll it has garnered middle of the pack votes. Marquees is the one thing I often look for updates on over the 6 years I have been using LB/BB. Though many users may have multiple monitors historically not many are voting for or even requesting marquee updates.
  6. LB does not have second screen support option. Currently only BB has that since BB is primarily the graphical front-end version of our software. There have been requests to add second screen support to LB. However, at this time it is not something on the current to do list of upgrades.
  7. Yes. That is old way it did backups. The new version will backup all data into zipped files.
  8. If that file is corrupt best thing to do is use a backup file. With LB closed go to your \Launchboc\Backuos folder and look inside. There will be a bunch of zipped backup files. Does not matter which on you open, bit best to get one from the day prior to you getting the corruption error. Open one of the zips and copy the GameCube.xaml file from the \Data\Platforms folder in the zip to your actual \Data\Platforms folder. You can either delete the corrupt one or overwrite it.
  9. Add the image you want to the \Unified Redux\Images\Theme\Backgrounds folder and name the file exactly as your playlist is named. If the image is not showing in the theme you may need to refresh BigBox image cache. You will find an option to do this in the Settings menu in BB.
  10. Can you provide pics. Pics of what you are seeing when you take the steps to change the rom path location and pics of inside the actual new rom folder. Game roms and emulators do not really link to any specific pc/laptop installation. If you have SNES roms on one pc and move them to another you just move them. Like pretty much any other file type. You mentioned you transferred the games but did you also download emulators on the new laptop?
  11. That's exactly how it should work. Right click and edit a game. In the additional apps page click on "Add Application"add your pdf files and then add the name you want and the file path location. The Pause Menu for any theme will show them.
  12. @The Papaw This is better served as a specific post in the 3rd party applications and plug-ins subforum and not in the AHK Scripts help thread. Please create a new thread there for this. I will remove this one after you do. Thanks.
  13. @Shoot3rmcgavin I forgot about Faeren's CoinOp theme. It does the marquees. He also included in the download files steps on how you can make marquees for other games/platforms to fill the gaps.
  14. Honestly not sure. I have not bothered with that theme in years. I just remember that was one of the features the theme creator mentioning in his support thread. I will try and take a look at the theme.
  15. Well that's your big issue right there. Poorly named rom files. Not sure where you got them from but if they are just numbers and not actual rom names LB will have trouble scraping for media. Your best bet for Atomiswave is using roms from an official Mame rom set. You will have no issues with LB finding metadata and media. Can you post a pic of the rom files you are using?
  16. I believe Unified Refried does this. I do not remember if Faeren's remake Unified CTC does or not. You might want to check that out and see if it does state that in the notes. Edited: Looking at Faeren's version looks like it does the same thing as the original Unified and Unified Redux. So Unified Refried might be your best bet. It is possible you can take Unified CTC theme files and edit the theme in the Community Theme Creator to do this. If that is something you may want to mess with.
  17. @C-Beats That theme does not use the actual marquee image on the main screen. It is a background image of a cabinet and a default marquee in it. @Shoot3rmcgavin If you are expecting the "Arcade Classics" portion of the image in the marquee to change with each game it does not do that in this theme. That is a static image. If you go into the theme's folder \Unified Redux\Images\Theme\Background\ you will see each of the images used. The exact image used is attached. There are specific images for each named platform when you use this theme.
  18. When you import the rom the import wizard UI will open a screen for you to select "What platform are you importing games for?". In the drop down box simply type the name of the new platform you want to create (you can click in the box and type you are not stuck to only using the populated drop-down items). Then in the "Scrape As" field you can leave it blank or select the original platform to scrape that the original rom is from. That part is up to you as leaving it blank will bring no metadata. LB Games DB does not have metadata on Rom Hacks.
  19. What's the issue exactly that you are having? Rom hacks can just be added like any other console rom. You can either add them to the standard platform or create a custom hack platform to add them into. Plenty of users have been adding them for years.
  20. Ah yes. I forgot the name in the RA UI of the core do not always match the actual core files name.
  21. You do not need to. Just add "Box - Front" as an option in your 3D Box Front image priorities and it will use them as an option for 3D Boxes as well. I actually did not notice you mentioned just normal box from.
  22. What version are you on? Just tested latest stable and latest beta with no issues. Videos show on both individual edit and multiple rom import.
  23. Ok. That is definitely odd since you did most of the basic troubleshooting steps. All of Unified's wheel views except one should show a box art. If you try another user created theme do your boxes show there? They are actually slightly different. 1 is just the box, 2 I believe is Box and Cart, 3 is box and the option to spin the CD image, so they still should show box art.
  24. Not sure exactly what you mean by "no Mame - Current in Launchbox?". You are not locked into anything the the drop-down list when you add an emulator. You can type in any emulator name you want. In the Associated Platform tab LB will show the cores you downloaded.
