The only extra pop-up is the media download confirmation done at the end. This is now due to the fact LB imports a game and downloads the media separately so the extra confirmation screen was added. There is no way to turn that on or off. If you desire that option please use the "Request a Feature" link located at the top of the forum under "Help & Support".

Do you get any error when it crashes or does LB just shutdown? Do you have logs turned on in your LB tools settings?

Model 2 Emulator

I do not believe there is a specific setting for this. This might be something you want to request a feature/feature upgrade using our link located under "Help & Support" at the top of the forum.

There is no Marquee Image Priority like there is for select other images. It has been asked for so hopefully at some point we can get this. LB default is to show the image locate in the Arcade - Marquee folder. In the absence of an image there is reverts to your Box - Front image priorities. In order to have the marquee show other images you would need to be able to code a PlatformMarqueeView.xaml and GameMarqueeView.xaml to show what images/data you like.

Try going into the Nvidia Display settings and creating a custom resolution of 1280x390 and set the scaling to "full-screen". I think that is what I did. You can also try these slightly modified marquee xaml files. Just drop them in the theme (or themes) you are using. Place them in the view folder. If you have no luck with the custom resolution these will take the 1280x720 setting and adjust the marquee images to fit in the upper portion of that resolution. It is a hack, but sometimes those cut lcd's do not play nice. PlatformMarqueeView.xaml GameMarqueeView.xaml

I do not recall what resolution on my non AMD cabinet is being ued. I can check. I do know on my AMD cabinet I had to use 1280x720 and it works with no issue.

There are quite a few users that use that display. I have one myself. Make sure you have the same percentage for dpi scaling on both screens. Also check your Hz. I think I first had an issue with mine being set at something other than 60 Hz and BB did not like it.

If you are requesting a new feature, requesting updating an existing feature, or requesting an update to a beta feature the "Request a Feature" is best. These are all by definition a "feature request". If it is about the new beta features and if it fixed a prior issue, has broken something previously working, or the feature is not working as intended that is what the beta threads are for. I know your posts asked if something was possible which is why I did not delete. However, I did feel it was worth a reminder post. Not solely at you, but for us all. The goal is to keep the two devs from having to weed through all unnecessary posts and keep data only related to proper feedback so they can focus on getting betas to a full release state. That's because users do not usually do what is recommended. There are thousands of tickets there and just 2 devs with only 24 hours in a day. If users would do as I mentioned there is a better chance we can track feature requests and better gauge the interest. Posting them here in the beta they get lost worse than they would on our bitbucket.

This has been mentioned several times in betas threads and will keep being reminded. If anything is a feature request 3 things are needed. Eventually I will just delete these posts without warning. 1. Do not post in the beta threads. 2. Use the feature Request button at the top of the forum under "Help & Support" 3. Open a new thread in the "Features" sub-forum and link the ticket from the Feature Request site. Beta threads are going to be strictly kept to providing the team feedback on beta features that are working or not. Anything else needs to be posted elsewhere.

Controller input types have been implemented in the latest betas. You can either opt into the beta by going into your LB options and selecting the check box to download betas. Or you can wait for the stable release when it is ready. From the beta 2 notes: New Feature: A complete management system has been built for specifying types of supported controllers for games, including a built-in database with known games, full flexibility for customization, and built-in badge images for various controller types. See Tools > Manage Game Controllers and the Controller Support section of the game add/edit screen for details
-
Likely something that would not be implemented as that could cause issues with emulators that require the rom file to be a certain name. Such as Mame.
-
Do you have any animations involved in those media elements? Are you using the most current version of the theme creator? It would probably be good to ask in Y2Guru's thread over here.
-
Unfortunately bezels have been discussed and is likely something not going to be tackled anytime soon. Not that it is completely off the table. You can read more about it in this thread.
-
It will not climb much as you add games. Here are images of a fresh install versus one with 30K games.
-
Of course it could have more. However, feature integration has to be triaged since we only have 2 devs. Upgrades stand a better chance of getting implemented if more users request it. The best way that is done is to create a topic for it on the forum, then use the "Request a Feature" option at the top of the forum under "Help & Support". Finally, link that bitbucket ticket back in the thread to drive user votes. Not shooting down any new features, but for me Attract Mode does all I need it to. Play random game and platform videos. Anything more is just watching the screen instead of playing games.

How to change these BigBox menus select colors
Retro808 replied to kevin.k's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
This view is edited in the OptionsPage.Xaml. Example shown of the color changed. The others I have never messed with and I have not seen any spot to edit those so it may be something under the hood in BigBox code. So will have to wait for our devs on those. -
When you use an external folder for you roms do you go into LB and change the default Games folder location of the platform?
-
I know you did not say it did. I was confirming it directly. This issue can be easily replicated inside or outside LB folder structure.
-
It has nothing to do with folder location. For some reason when selecting to use the Mame data LB is not recognizing the games. You can uncheck that option and LB will find the games. So it seems to be having trouble finding the Sammy roms matched against the Mame.xml. I will let Jason know.
-
Not from within the LaunchBox UI.
-
When selecting the option to "Force Using Mame Metadata" when importing something like Sammy Atomiswave you get stuck in the "Ready to Import" screen and cannot use the Back button. If you click the Back button it will quickly flash a Mame screen and just stay in the Ready to Import screen. You have to cancel out if you need to go back and make a change. I was testing these option due to an issue someone was having in another thread when I noticed this. Also, same as was mentioned by the two prior users, when progressing through the process you get a quick flash of the Mame wizard screen with the check boxes to exclude all the junk and make the playlists. It is real quick that it flashes.

Logs are found in the \Logs folder.
-
You recognized its the duplicate searching that is the issue so try turning off the “rough matching” option in the import media wizard.
-
That's the old way that was changed quite a few version ago. I believe from another post the user did have it in that format. Are you using VLC or Windows Media for you video setting in BigBox? If you change to the other option you are not using what happens? Have you made sure all you drivers are updated? Safe to assume platform and game play videos work fine once you are in BigBox?
