  1. Hahah, that chump just got burned lol.
  2. I think I may have fixed the problem but I'd love to know what may have caused it. I switched the "Metadata" XML file back to a backup that I made 4 days previously and that seems to have done the trick. So it seems that when I tried to import Tron 2.0 into Windows, LaunchBox did the old "updating metadata" thing from the server and that Metadata file was causing the crash. Would love to know what happened here. To the tune of George Michael's I'm Never Going To Dance Again, I was thinking that "I'm Never Going To Import Again" lol. Crazy I may be, but I fixed my own problem so that makes me a crazy genius and all in time for Sky Force Reloaded which is coming out on Steam tommorow and I am buying that mofo on day one. http://store.steampowered.com/app/667600/Sky_Force_Reloaded/ Shump. Not Shmup.
  3. I have been getting this error in the last day or so. Now this happens in LaunchBox when I just do a single click on a game. Admittedly, I'm only on 7.11 but I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I was on .Net 4.71 but I downgraded it to 4.62 to see if that helps but it hasn't. My install has been working happily for months. The last I remember doing was importing Tron 2.0 into the Windows platform. I did wonder if the "2.0" was tripping things up so I switched the XML for the platform to a backup done 2 days before and it still happens. Any help would be appreciated. I have re-installed a 7.11 over the top of this install to see if that helps but no :-( BigBox however, seems to be working fine. Here I just do a single left click on a game to highlight it, and then pause, and up comes the error message.
  4. I think LordMonkus should do the Wood Hawker type of YouTube videos. Yes. I definitely think the craggy whipcracking old grump LordMonkus should do that. (joking, I love yoooooooouuuu really) ;-)
  5. I had a weird issue when I installed an ASUS Bluetooth adaptor on my PC. For some reason, this caused a process called "svchost.exe" *32 to run in the background and whenever this was running, my BigBox would grind to a halt. When I terminated the "svchost.exe" process, everything was good again. I'm on Windows 7 64bit and I kinda wonder if the "svchost" being a 32bit process was causing something. Well, I KNOW it was causing something because when I terminated it, everything ran fine. Try that. ***Edit - I've just noticed you already fixed it lol. I'll leave this here for anyone with problems in the future to try.
  6. I heard on the grapevine that the Illuminati eliminated him.
  7. Hahahaha. Who said Americans can't do sarcasm / Irony!
  8. I vote for that feature then, I think. I have 3 separate platforms for Sega Saturn as well. One for each region. It would tidy up the Platforms list to have them in Sub Menu's.
  9. Just asking, what would you use a sub menu in Platforms for? For things like USA Rom Set, European Rom Set, or Demo Discs...things like that? Just curious as to what problem it would solve. I don't know if my problem is similar to yours....I already had a 250 game platform setup for Sega Dreamcast. I got hold of a bunch of demo disc images and was thinking of starting a new platform for them called "Sega Dreamcast (Demo Discs)". Then I changed my mind because I already have 80 platforms and I would have to fiddle around with the media paths etc, so for a quiet life I just mashed them all into the existing platform. Deep down, I kind of didn't really want to do that though. I dunno. Is that the kind of problem sub menus would solve?
  10. Thanks for this bro. PokeMini is just what I was after. Sorry I can't help with the obscure stuff you mentioned. ***Edit.....It's looks like the lovely Zombie Beaver already did help.
  11. Commiserations. And plenty of them ;-) ;-) commiseration kəˌmɪzəˈreɪʃn/ noun plural noun: commiserations sympathy and sorrow for the misfortunes of others; compassion. "the other actors offered him clumsy commiseration" synonyms: condolences, sympathy, pity, comfort, solace, consolation; More expressions of sympathy and sorrow for another. "our commiserations to those who didn't win"
  12. Ahh I wondered what that was about. He just totally switched schizophrenic (in this thread) and I thought WTF lol.
  13. You're not thick. Don't be so hard on yourself.
  14. Everything LordMonkus just said.....and you can add games to your Playlist "on the fly" in BigBox. That is something you cannot do as effortlessly in other front ends.
  15. And then there is this to do with ejecting cartridges which might explain why it always plays the last .crt I used http://www.ccs64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16639. Brrr.
  16. Through LaunchBox, it is loading the last .crt that I launched, no matter which I choose. Then I open CCS64 and 'detach' the cartridge. Then try to launch another, and it just sits on the starting screen. I found this thread on the CCS64 forum with someone else who has this problem: http://www.ccs64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1498. A member of staff says that you need to have the ".crt" files in the emulator directory and run a command line from then. See what you think Zombeaver.
  17. Thanks for your quick reply mate. I'm sitting here toying with the big three (WinVICE, CCS64 and HOXS64) as I type this. I'm leaning towards CCS64 because of the Maximum 1541 Speed that you've mentioned :-). I've also noticed that CCS64 has a better aspect ratio than WinVICE. The screen seems to be more 'fuller' (for want of a better phrase) in CCS64, whereas WinVICE seems to have these big black borders around the game screen. Do you know of a way to launch .crt (Cartridge files) with CCS64 in LaunchBox? I'm having trouble with that one.
  18. Zombie Beaver, lovely man. What is your command line for CCS64 please?
  19. Hehe, you're a good ambassador for that program. I was just googling it after reading your post here and found a post of yours on Reddit. I'm following your lead and for the same scenario as you state here......I need something to quickly swap around roms with different emulators for the Commodore 64 for testing. It's not quite a frontend along the lines of BigBox, more like MAMEUI (which is a good thing).
  20. Is this Gamebase collection easily launchable from LaunchBox? ***Edit.....actually, stuff that. I've just looked it up and it is way too complicated lol.
  21. I was just saying that I've seen your username elsewhere. On another retro gaming site. In a slightly haphazard way.
  22. This is one that I stole from someone on here. I can't remember who it was but credit to them. Exit PCSX2 emulator: ; This section closes PCSX2 when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
  23. LaunchBox is a greedy girl. Make the switch, you know you wanna ;-)
  24. I mean this script. This one worked for me.
