video Nostalgia |16:9| video Set
By viking
The idea of this set is to place the gameplay video in context, with the hardware of its time. A touch of nostalgia to better understand an unknown material especially for the youngest. Most of the montages use the EmuMovie gameplay videos. The others are mine.
This video set is also available in 4:3 ratio here
I also share the gameplay videos I create with the help of the community.
On EmuMovie FTP : "Upload here > _Video Snap Submissions > Viking (Platform Video)"

VTech CreatiVision Platform Video
By mcfilmmakers
My work blends a few influences relevant to the platform while showcasing the machine itself along with the games the platform ran:
1) Music made using sounds available on the platform (where possible)
2) The platform's boot screen (if possible)
3) Commercial influences usually in the form of the platform's marketing jingle.
4) The platform's packaging.
In this way, the platform video itself gives an accurate interpretation of what the platform is, was marketed as, and what it looked and sounded like.
In this video, the beginning displays the NTSC box design that expands into the PAL version to display gameplay.

My apologies for the lack of a Youtube video. Youtube is REFUSING to process my video uploads on my account! The only audio in the clip is the game audio when the games are showing, when the box art appears, no audio plays. Why? because the platform box isn't very inspiring so I kept it simple.

ColecoVision Platform Theme Video
By mcfilmmakers
This is my first platform theme that I am making available to the community. My work blends a few influences relevant to the platform while showcasing the machine itself along with the games the platform ran:
1) Music made using sounds available on the platform
2) The platform's boot screen if available
3) Commercial influences usually in the form of the platform's marketing jingle.
4) The platform's packaging.
In this way, the platform video itself gives an accurate interpretation of what the platform is, was marketed as, and what it looked and sounded like.
The version available on Launchbox-app.com has no watermark.

platform-video-xbox_360
Hey, All.
I'm a new member of the community, and I love my BigBox setup! One of my favorite aspects of this frontend is the smooth integration with EmuMovies, a website that yields great videos for each platform on my system.
In my excitement for new emulators, I recently installed Xenia (the XBOX 360 emulator), only to discover that neither EmuMovies nor the LaunchBox Games Database has a wide selection of XBOX 360 platform videos. This is understandable, as Xenia has limited emulation at the moment, so there probably isn't an urgent need for this type of media.
However, if you're like me and enjoy adding platforms to your setup, it feels nice to include everything you can. For this reason, I created a very basic XBOX 360 platform video, using a similar style as that found in the EmuMovies Unified set. This video was tested at 1920x1080 resolution and looks decent alongside the other videos in the EmuMovies set.
The platform video contains thirty (30) seconds of footage from each of the following XBOX 360 games:
Halo 4 Forza Horizon 2 Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts Please note that the Xenia emulator does not currently run these games, so the footage was taken from actual XBOX 360 gameplay. I realize this type of video will not be for everyone, but if you find it useful, please feel free to integrate it into your setup.
Here's to hoping Xenia makes a lot of progress in the future so that we can experience these awesome games again.
Cheers!

Apple II Platform Video
By sbslc2017
This is my first stab at a platform video. I always felt the Apple IIe TV commercials better evoked the nostaligia associated with these machines better than the showcase of games that are usually shown.

Sony Playstation JAPAN 16:9 1080p Platform Theme
By Riffman81
I tend to keep my Translated and Japanese exclusive games separate from my North American/PAL region games in BigBox and have created this Sony Playstation (Japan) platform theme video. I Wanted to share with the community in case anyone else does the same with their collections and could use this in their setup. I do plan on redoing the video snap used for this theme in better quality so I will be updating this at a later date.
Two different versions to choose from: Game Audio and Remixed Audio
