  1. Thanks for the info. I was hoping it was something as simple as creating a batch process in Photoshop to render the images without the scratches layer: a 5 minute endeavor.
  2. Your bezels are top-notch! but would you be able to publish a set without the scratches? I understand the desire to look realistic but even some original cabinets are in good shape to this day without screen scratches. The reflections are fine, the scratches are distracting.
  3. Went to a bowling alley yesterday. They had this awesome, shiny, new Galaga game sitting in the corner. Emblazoned across the cab was. Galaga Assault. I'm like, whaaaaaat?! Yes, please! Take my money! It was $1 per play and I was low on cash so I let my 8 year old play my last dollar and I watched. He didn't last long but the gameplay was AMAZING! I need to find an excuse to go to the north side of Lansing, MI again to play it! Oh. And it's a ticket game! Go figure! At 5:00 they start the gameplay
  4. I purchased the Atari 2600 game cartridge Kaboom! on eBay yesterday. A shipping label was very quickly created by the seller and I copied the tracking number into my shipping app called OneTracker and gave the title "Kaboom". Even though the USPS tracking number was correct the OneTracker app said it was an untrackable number! I waited until the next day thinking maybe there was no tracking data yet and maybe that was the problem. Nope. I then opened the eBay app and was able to see that the cartridge was well into the USPS system. I then had an idea. In the OneTracker app I changed the title of the package from "Kaboom" to "Kab-oom". Guess what - the tracking data instantly populated! I can only guess that the app has blacklisted words and naming a package that could go 'boom' is forbidden. So strange! Well, I look forward to trying to catch numerous b-ombs on my TV screen very soon, thank you very much OneTracker.
  5. That's incredible! What I found interesting is how during the age of game downloads the initial sales of most of those games started in the tens of millions and quickly surpassed physical games which I'm guessing is because of the accessibility to acquire them.
  6. I've been using LaunchBox/BigBox since July, 2021 and I have absolutely no regrets in purchasing the lifetime license. The continuous, ongoing development and improvements are worth every single penny. It's the perfect frontend for me for both on a laptop as well as running it through my TV for that 10-foot UI experience with BigBox. As you are aware, LB/BB are just frontends and the emulators are up to you to setup. With that said, yes, LB handles the emulators just fine - it's doing nothing more than running the executable software of the emulator. I personally use the following emulators: Wii U: Cemu GameCube: Dolphin Playstation 2: PCSX2 Playstation Portable: PPSSPP Sega Dreamcast: Redream (purchased) Playstation 3: RPCS3 Xbox: XEMU Switch: Yuzu Retro arcade games: MAME 0.241 Modern arcade games: Teknoparrot ...and finally.... Retroarch runs the cores for: Atari 2600 (stella), Nintendo 64 (mupen64plus_next), NES (nestopia - aka mesen), Game Boy Advance (mgba), Sega 32X (picodrive), Genesis (genesis_plus_gx), Saturn (mednafen_saturn), Playstation 1 (mednafen_psx_hw), SNES (mesen-s) There is no harm in trying out LB, it's free with some features disabled. Give it a go, get your emulators setup. Take it for a test drive. Watch the Unbroken Software YouTube channel as well as the ETA Prime YT channel for setup videos. If you like then make the purchase to help the developers continue the hard work. Most of all... have fun curating your retro gaming library!
  7. I didn't realize it's been two years since this was published, but here is the latest video from ETA Prime:
  8. I've noticed the same result - you have to wait for the info to populate before you CTRL+e the game.
  9. Is this what you were looking for? Just Google these words in order, the results will be either of the first two hits pleasure dome GitHub io
  10. I personally don't like the new platform icons, I think they look cheap. I know we play retro games but I don't think the UI should also be retro (c. 1995 Internet webpages where everything needed to be an icon or gif). ETA Prime mentioned that they can be disabled but never showed how, could someone point me to the setting please?
  11. This was reported on 17 FEB; must have been missed. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/71514-132-beta-thread/?do=findComment&comment=431105
  12. That's truly subjective. Good place to start is the downloads section - you can sort the forum postings by recently updated or most viewed, however, if you do that you'll really miss out on some super-creative themes. Honestly, I suggest just downloading any that seem remotely interesting and test them out one by one.
  13. Any chance I may get a version of this in daylight, without the scratches, and without the background reflections, please?
  14. 13.2-beta4 Audit tool: Clicking on the Box Spine Images header does not properly numerically sort the list, what I see is the list just jumble each time it's pressed.
  15. You can find the latest file on OA's profile https://forums.launchbox-app.com/profile/74235-orionsangel/content/?type=downloads_file
  16. I really appreciate how powerful the Auditing Tool can be. I have a few suggestions. (more of a LB suggestion) Now that Spine images are used in the 3D image creation, I feel that the Spine image should be promoted from 'Unassigned Images' to its own group like 'Box - Front' and 'Clear Logo' are listed with all the image choices (talking about the game editor window). This then brings me to request #1 - In the Auditing Tool would you please add Spine Image to the list so that we may audit our games for missing spine images. In the Audit Tool I am trying to audit a category of images 'Box - Front' for example but I see 2-3 or even 6 images listed. Turns out the auditor is listing any image that is set in my Box - Front priority list - example: In my box front priority list I have Box Front/Box Front Reconstructed/Fan Art Box Front/Clear Logo. Showing all these images doesn't really help - Clear Logo for example, it's not a box image but I have it selected as a fall-back just in case. Yes, I'm aware I can just turn off these other image types and re-run the auditor but that's quite cumbersome. It would be nice if the Audit Tool got an overhaul to add preferences/options. It needs its own options/preferences menu to override the LB settings. This would allow the user to not display certain image types within a category like Box Front. There could also be quick options to show/hide columns to customize their window view. All image types should be listed as columns to provide granular auditing. (i.e. Box Front Reconstructed, Fan Art Box Front, etc) Thanks for hearing me out.
  17. Hello, sir. I am loving this theme but I have a few changes I'd like to make such as swapping the video with the screenshot. I'd also like to make a few other personal tweaks, would you be willing to provide the source files, please?

Sorry. That's not the video you were looking for. The exact one you linked is called Big Box Cinematix - Arcade Classics v1 and can be directly downloaded from within LaunchBox. Go to Tools>Download>Platform/Playlist/Category theme videos In the window you will simply check the box next to Arcade and then make sure the Big Box Cinematix - Arcade Classics is selected. You can even preview it with the button on the right. Then select OK to start the download and have it applied to your platform. Step-by-step:

  20. Check that you have Settings>Video>Scaling set to Core Provided. Also check Quick Menu>Shaders>Shader Parameters>Aspect Ratio>Type - set to 2.00 --- as well as Quick Menu>Shaders>Shader Parameters>Viewport Zoom>64. I'm using a 1920x1080 screen, btw.
  21. Right-click the platform - Edit. At the bottom is Sort Title. This is where you would put your sorting name. You can use anything that would provide a hierarchy, you could use 01-01, 01-02, 01-03, 02-01, 02-02, etc.
  22. Google "pleasuredome git". Click MAME. Scroll down to the MAME Full Sets section. Click the "MAME 0.246 ROMs (non-merged)" link. Copy the magnet link and use a torrent client to download the files. You could either download the whole set or you could pick the individual files to be downloaded. [There are scripts on this forum which you can use to extract the most popular games from the non-merged set so that you save room and don't have a bunch of redundant and garbage games.] The way a non-merged set works is that each game zip has all the required files needed to make it work and it can exist on its own outside of the entire set. This also makes the set significantly larger than the other sets that contain shared files between the zips, but as long as you only keep 500 games, for example, of the ?3,200? games in the set then you will actually save space.
