  1. Hey there, so I am almost done building my Bigbox collection and basically I have it setup this way: Default landing view is "Platform categories" (Arcade, Computers, Handhelds, Consoles and added Favourites as a Category also, and I may add more stuff along the way like never-played, completed for example) I only auto-generated playlists for MAME to have Sega Classics, Sega St-V, Capcom CPS1 2 3, SNK Aes etc, basically dividing my arcade category by Arcade platforms/brands (same as Consoles for example) and also leveraging @viking 's amazing device images and videos (I deleted all the playlists that are genre or play mode based). I moved those playlists 1 level higher in the hierarchy so that they are considered as platforms (basically now they show under the Arcade Category along with other non MAME arcade platforms like Naomi for example, and it looks amazing in the Colorful 4k theme and artworks/videos). I did that because otherwise they would show as subcategories of MAME when all other platforms show games directly so it felt wrong to me . Now here is the problem (very minor I admit), MAME still shows as a platform and of course all the games inside the auto-generated playlists will also show under MAME. (After a bit of simple math I have about 1400 games in the Playlists and about 2000 in total under MAME). So question is: Can I hide games under MAME without affecting them under the playlists? If not can I hide MAME entirely in my platform selection and only show the playlists? Hope that makes sense, and I am not doing something considered super weird.
  2. Hey @viking again this theme is just absolutely amazing and also love the colourful start-up video... Looking forward to the loading screen and pause screen!!! Thank you so much. Following up my review. I managed to get all the platform images working by using the community theme creator and the BB overrides, basically I had to make sure I renamed the arcade one to MAME (because it would also apply to the arcade platform category which is supposed to be another image) and then put the Platform category images (renamed to just the category name) in the same location as the platform device images (hardware set folder). In the end I don't know if it was the overrides folder or the hardware set folder that did the trick, I just ended up putting the images everywhere possible as I was losing my mind a bit I Just created my favourites playlist as platform category and struggling to set it up but I think it may be just a naming issue of files or something. Here are a few suggestions for the future: Platform categories are my main default landing section and would like to give them each a different colour, currently they are all sky blue, same as the platform would be amazing to have a separate colour for each. One very minor thing for you to be aware in case you want to change it in the future, the PAL SNES image is not entirely aligned to the video. Mega-cd needs a PAL version;) A last big one for me and I think a couple of people would love it as well is to have the box and cart front showing on the left side on the game wheel view with a nice animation, I spent countless hours getting high quality images and would love to see them more Edit: sorted the favourites thing as it is a custom playlist you have to point out the content I.e. logo, device, video within Launchbox directly when editing it. Last minute suggestion now 😜, having an extra playlist in the Platform categories for completed and never played games would be awesome, but that would need a device images and video created for each.
    The most beautiful theme out there imo but it's missing it's own platform device images for some platforms (managed to fix MAME) and platform category device images? I tried to put them in the respective folders manually but no effect. Anyone knows how to do that? EDIT: Thanks Viking, I think I did it well as it worked with the same files on other themes, and also worked partially on yours which is really confusing, I stumbled upon a video on how to use the BB media overrides folders in the CTC so I'll go down that road now One suggestion from me for future changes in your amazing theme: add box-front + Cart-front + description on the left of the Game selection wheel (also maybe maybe add a couple mores second of delay before playing platform videos)
  3. Couldn't really notice any difference having Retroarch in windowed full screen.
  4. Interesting stuff, I'll actually see if using windowed full screen changes something to that behaviour and if impacts performance. If it does I'll just live with that flickering, but you know the quest for perfection is a never-ending journey 🤟
  5. Hey there, it works I can use all the pause screen features, it's just as the OP said, the game shows up for a second between hitting ”quit game" in the pause screen and the ”game over" screen appearing, it should allow for a smoother transition. It looks like a flickering screen and can be jarring. Really not an issue for me to be honest. Would any of the requested elements help for that scenario? I can fetch them after work if they do. (Emulators -> Retroarch, Cemu, Cxbx-R, Model 2 emulator, Supermodel) Best
  6. Hey there, I get the same thing on all platforms and emulators, so I guess it's not something wrong on your side. Maybe a script wizard can solve this for us!
  7. Thanks!!! You have to do it for Save state, Load State, and Reset Game. For others wondering how, this is what my Save State script looks like (I changed the default key from F2 to S and added Q as secondary "Hotkey Enable" in Retroarch): ; Retroarch saves state with F2 key by default Send {q down} Send {s down} Sleep 50 Send {s up} Send {q up}
