  1. That is a pretty good idea. I don't know if that's ever been requested before. However, requests are best made in our BitBucket. Click Issues/Requests at the top of the website. Search up if your request has been made before, and vote on that ticket if it has. You can also comment on that one as well. If it hasn't been made, feel free to create a ticket for it. Don't forget to vote on your own ticket!
  2. LaunchBox needs it's MAME metadata updated for us to see new games, if there are any, but that process is very hard unfortunately. If you grab a new set and paths are changing, deleting the games, and re-importing without downloading images is the easiest way. If you keep the same exact path, plug in the new MAME and romset, it should all just work. If there are any new games that isn't picked up by the MAME Importer, you will have to do that manually currently.
  3. Yea, Redump seems to be the No-Intro equivalent.
  4. I want to say both of those used regular MAME? I can't quite remember. The last one for MESS / MAME was the Vectrex one.
  5. Yea, either it was like that since we grabbed metadata (which is unlikely at this point), or someone's Alladin didn't get found and automatically assumed it wasn't there and added it. Somehow, moderators approved a duplicate.
  6. I was the one having issues with split, so I couldn't recommend split for those two versions. I don't know if split now has any differences, but I would be willing to say no.
  7. Is this a new download of RetroArch, fresh from their site? The Stable or Nightly 1.5.0 should work. Also, have you tried running it from somewhere other than your Users folder, like an external or even from the root of your C drive?
  8. You should be able to already do this with Additional Applications:
  9. MAME = Arcade, and all of these special sets (Naomi, Taito, Neo Geo, etc) are all Arcade games. Every single one of those roms is already included in a MAME Rom set, which just got updated to MAME .183. You can manually pull out the games you'd want to create a seperate set of games, or you can find them pre-compiled online. As far as what Derek was saying, as of MAME .181 or .182, the Dreamcast BIOS were changed (which is what Demul uses, even for Naomi). It used to be that it was all in 1 file, dc.zip, which is what Demul wants. Now, MAME has split that in to 3 different files. You'll need to take the files out of the 2 new zips and put them in the dc.zip, or download a MAME non-merged romset which has a correct dc.zip. However, a split romset (the standard set that has 3 dreamcast bios files now) is much much smaller than a non-merged rom set. Non-merged is much larger due to every variant of file has everything required inside of each of them. It's a combination of split and non-merged. MAME is kind of confusing, so I don't blame you.
  10. Sleep doesn't work though on Windows 8 or 10, at least from what I remember reading. The syntax has been changed, and in my previous post I did mention that. So, if someone on Windows 8 or 10 tries to use Sleep, it may not work.
  11. We also have a lot of RetroArch tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6pTDaHeAz-WMcNURVPU-1xLN_TVpT3FB Otherwise, the easiest route is to find out if Higan standalone has Command Line commands.
  12. When you do choose the options in Tools, Update Metadata and Media, the more you have selected the more will update. So if you click on a platform, Ctrl + A, then choose that option it will want to update everything. When you choose it, it will ask you a question with 3 choices. The top choice will replace everything, meaning everything will get downloaded again. If you're more worried about filling in gaps, then choose the second option as that will mostly just fill in missing areas of metadata and media.
  13. Yes, going through their ticket system is how you should report and handle any of this.
  14. The Wednesday stream was on YouTube, and the turnout was better. Monday he was having issues on Twitch and wanted to try over on YouTube, and it worked really well. We talked about it in our Discord actually.
  15. I haven't gotten FM Towns up and going yet, and since I don't do the tutorials anymore I wont be getting around to that system. There was another thread going on where someone was needing to mount their games in an ISO Mounter first, but I want to see if there is a better way. Either way, thank you for the kind words! I greatly appreciate it.
  16. As far as I know, no one has created that type of video pack here or on EmuMovies. The easiest way would be to find them on YouTube and download them. Normally, I don't advocate downloading other peoples videos, but since we're just talking about boot screens, few second videos, it's not a huge issue. You can then drop these in the appropriate places inside of LaunchBox/Videos. There are sub-folders in there that are labeled.
  17. MAME .174 to .180 split, .181 to .183 split or non-merged and you're good as far as MAME rom sets. For Naomi specific it just depends on what you search. If you find a Naomi rom pack somewhere online, try it. All I mean by pre-compiled is that someone has compiled a rom set of just those specific roms.
  18. You can import them like normal, assign an emulator temporarily and then use the bulk edit wizard to remove them. Once they're imported, click on the platform, then a game, then press Ctrl + A to highlight everything, right click a game and press edit. Choose Emulator from the drop down and leave it blank.
  19. I've passed this on to Jason, thank you!
  20. Yes I did. Watch the latest MESS related Tutorial and then apply that to everything else. MAME will automatically configure controls for you.
  21. Ah, does this explain some of the recent issues @circo? I hope everything is ok.
  22. No, you're not, it's ok. Naomi and Naomi 2 games are IN the MAME rom set. You can find Naomi specific rom sets online (pre-compiled), or copy them 1 at a time from a MAME Rom set, but that is where they come from.
  23. That's looking pretty damn good.
  24. Well, we are a bit different. If the set is merged, which I would most likely guess is the case, then all of the files that should be there aren't. So slight variations might be missing for import. So even though the game is actually there, if it's missing files because it's been merged, then the importer wont pick up on it unless you import the correct region and check boxes that would match that exact version. In this case, you were just missing 1, so manually adding it works, but if you keep finding games missing then that might be why.
