yeah but how many people know how to compile an RA core from source I know I don't know the 1st thing about it and while I probably could figure it out with some guidance its not really something the average user would probably do.

yeah I don't think they will care much so it is your responsibility to make sure you have the core that you want so backing it up and copying it is your best bet.

I believe you have to enable that in one of the MAME settings

LB's original DB is built off ot the GamesDB which is what the program used to use but due to unreliability and ever increasing downtime it was decided that the LBGDB was a necessity really the majority of the info on there is the backbone of the DB we already use going back to using it would just create conflicting data since some of the info from there has been edited and changed to what we have in the DB now so adding it back in as a source would accomplish very little IMO.

Go to your Launchbox folder and go into your themes folder and then to the specific theme and make sure that they aren't inside of a subfolder inside of a subfolder. Its a common mistake where people will unzip them into a folder named after the theme but for the theme to be packaged that way already so it will create 2 folders both named the same and if that is the case it doesn't work.

Multimedia is video snaps (I think) and the extras is all the samples, images and bezels that MAME supports for its UI.

Only manually your best bet would be to delete all the games from the platform and reimport them using MAME instead this way all the additional apps would then work with MAME and not RA. Sorry that its like that bulk editing Additional Apps has been requested in the past but still hasn't been added so for now that is your best bet.

For each core you can also make a copy and put the version in the name so if it some how ends up updated and causing you issues you can fix it by overwriting the other core. Truthfully from knowing what has changed from 0.195 to 0.196 a very large majority of your 0.195 games would still work if you had the 0.196 core.

My point was kinda that this is nitpicky to me but I didn't just want to call it that I was trying to be more diplomatic. I already explained that while you personally may not want to see those results they may be exactly what others are looking for because they may not be trying to search for game titles but other things. I really doubt that this is important to a majority of users but at the same time that is a guess and I have no way of quantifying it. If the game you are looking for is in the results even though some stuff you aren't looking for is search really "not very useful". Anyway whatever maybe it will be "improved" to your standards but I think it works fine personally.

Error messages in Spanish are not very helpful if you were at least to type the message I could copy paste it a google translate but from the image alone there isn't much I can do. My best guess would be maybe its an older version of the rom then your version of MAME works with.

well if I press s and it jumps me to S and then I press e and it takes me to se and not E then it is sort of negating it as it no longer functions how I want it to. I guess what it really comes down to is there isn't really anything wrong with search and although a few users may have the opinion that there is. I'd be interested to see if it isn't just a few people who don't think search is good enough. I know to test what was reported a couple post up I typed in Sonic in the Nintendo DS section it returned 14 results 8 of which were Sonic games and 6 of which had the word Sonic inside of the metadata somewhere, which to me are expected and acceptable results. If some users wanted to search for say games developed by Sonic team those results would be listed I think people sometime only see how they want to use something and not how others may use it. some users may find getting results for publishers and other data in a search helpful although some may not or some may be like me who if I'm searching for Sonic games and get 6 results that aren't sonic games doesn't really bother me as I have a lot bigger problems in life than what a search box returns but I guess that is just me.

It looks like for whatever reason LB isn't seeing your controller what type of controller is it. EDIT: My bad its there in the title. Since I don't have one of those I have no clue hopefully someone can help you out though I'm pretty sure we do have users that successful use them.

There are occasional giveaways and sales promotions usually around the holidays in December. They are announced on the web site and possible the YouTube channel but I'm not sure about Facebook really. If you update to premium the BigBox exe will just work with your current setup there is no need to start over.

yeah well searching by typing would negate the ability to press a letter and jump to that part of the list which I waited for years to finally make it in to the app so that is definitely not something needed. You want more advance search I get that but its not going to be at the expense of the features I find useful.

LB supports random videos natively now just add videos named whatever to the startup folder.

No the hold stuff only works for specific things the controller settings could definitely use some improvement to allow more functionality but for now your stuck with what is there.

LB works with png files also not just Jpg

I don't know if I would say common but almost all sites (not backed by millions of dollars) suffer downtime occasionally.

LB doesn't host the videos so I'm guessing it may be an EmuMovies issue but don't really know.

Did you put the script under the ahk tab in the manage emulators form it should use it every time you launch a game.
