for Demul you need to add a ahk script in the emulators edit form under the ahk script ; This section closes Demul when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
-
yeah someone posted that on Discord and I forwarded it to Jason. I did something similar last week and the user was banned

If you only have the free version of LB then no you don't have access to the controller automation feature to do so. If you are using RetroArch or MAME however they have options built in to close the emulator with the controller you just have to configure it in the menues
-
If you are trying to use the controller inside of LaunchBox Next that functionality is not yet hooked up. If the controllers aren't working in the original version of LB then report back and we will try to troubleshoot from there.
-
Hello and welcome to the community. Can you run the game outside of LB? Also are you absolutely sure that the path you have set up in LB matches the folder you are checking for the dll.

I was having that issue the other day saving stuff so I started a new build and that fixed it. It was a version of RA I had been updating since 1.36 and not sure if maybe something in the cfg somewhere along the line had changed but starting fresh fixed the save issues.

Any warnings are a false positive.
-
Just to add on if you don't want to upgrade to the beta a new stable version with the fix should be out this week.

Is there an "Other Platforms" option in a game info screen?
DOS76 replied to FlightRisk's topic in Features
Anything is possible to be added however the recent poll for feature requests is quite long so who knows when and if this would be added. -
There is LEDBlinky support if you look up post by Arzoo he is the author of the software and he comments on the forums to try and help people out with it also there are settings in LB under Tools>Options>LedBlinky where you can enable it in the program.

Is Bombjack in the 1st set and if not it would get my vote for an addition.

Here's what I know it uses the latest version of .net framework and is written in C# and does use WPF. It is not open source at all and Jason is a one man band.

you go to Launchbox and then to tools>manage emulators double click on MAME to open the edit form then go to the associated platforms tab and set up the system like in the screen shot The command for CDI is different and I'm unsure of the actual shortname MAME gives the system and you would put the shortname and the -cdrom tag after like I have set up in that example for Neo Geo CD Edit: Looks like the system might be called cdimono1
-
ah well actually now that there are multiple box fronts (used to only support one) maybe it also has the same issues.
-
Here is an example of mine while I don't have Ballys Astrocade setup you can get an idea of what it should look like
-
under the associated platform tab for MAME you would add a second line that would have a platform named after your platform and the command line listed then if you wanted to add any more MESS systems to MAME you would just repeat on the next line
-
Certain Items can't be differentiated by the import method so if you grab screen shots its going to grab them every time (or at least that is how I believe it works) so basically if it works how I believe if you were to run the process 10 times and pick just screen shots you would end up with duplicates for all of them over and over again.
-
Not many people have had success in getting the MESS side of MAME running through RetroArch last time I attempted it you had to have the software list specific files from MAME it wouldn't just use any ROM.
-
What version of LB are you using?
-
Okay everything looks setup correctly there is you platform in the LB sidebar named Nintendo Game Boy so it matches the one in the screen shot?
-
can you send us a screen shot of your associated platform tab for RetroArch. Go to tools Manage Emulators and double click RetroArch it should open the edit form for the emulator and associated platform is the 2nd tab. Which core are you using does it match the one that LB auto populated and is your you platform named Nintendo Game Boy so it matches what was in the associated platform tab.

No worries I just wanted to give them the fastest way to add all their files without needing to revise their existing folder structure.
-
This isn't necessarily true you can have all your games in individual folders you just have to use the Windows search feature and have it search the parent folder for the file extension for all of your games then they will all come up in a list and you can use ctrl+a to select them all. I'm not absolutely sure how that works with the importer as I usually navigate to my folder in File Explorer (Windows Explorer if your on Windows 7) perform the search and then use ctrl+a to highlight all games and then simply drag them on to LaunchBox this will initiate the importer but already a few steps in and then you just add from there as you usually would.
