I know most people don't want to hear it but like MS says Windows 10 is a service and it is highly recommended that you keep it updated

Just to be clear to anyone who might read this and misinterpret things LB Next is still very much in beta but the beta is now included in the latest stable release.

hmm this was an issue in the beta also for some users best solution I can give you is to navigate to the LB folder with LB or BB closed and click the LBN exe and start the program then pin the program either to the taskbar or start menu for easy access.

No that isn't it 1607 commercial support ended yesterday (so would still have the latest .net framework) and enterprise is still getting supported for a while longer.

you could try installing 8.2 again sometime something in the install can go wrong and just trying again will fix everything and if not its pretty easy to rollback as you already know from doing so.

not unless you put the owners manual in the manual folder and name it contra. or make it an additional application for a any game and then right click the game and have it open it.

I would go into the update folder in LB and run the last version that was working. All you have to do is run that version from there and it will reinstall the previous beta you had working see if that helps then you can try updating again. This should only update the exe files and you are in no danger of losing any of your other files although all of that stuff should be backed up on another drive already so you don't have to do all of the work again if something goes wrong.

I would still checkout adjusting the power settings unless you have already changed them yourself to high performance

Try changing your power setting also as Windows (10 at least) by default is put into a balanced state and not performance.

Welcome to the community! Lets see if we can figure out what the issue first let me ask you a few quick questions. First off what types of ROMs are they from a MAME arcade set? If they are using the MAME naming convention and you imported them with RA as the emulator did you check the box near the end of the import to use MAME importing. If you didn't do that then it won't use the MAME data and recognize them as the right games and no media will be pulled down. Do they have proper naming or are they named after the ROM files themselves.

To be honest though adding it to the right click context would make it a little faster. Just the list of feature requests is about a 1000 miles long so even if it was added you probably wouldn't see it for a while.

I believe it does use the controller but I also believe the OP wants to use it to open magazines and not just the manuals which are the only thing it supports if I'm remembering correctly

if you have your games details pane open in LB you can favorite from there just click the heart icon

yeah that wouldn't apply to me as I did have a game loaded and it still wouldn't save.
