  1. It should just prompt you to download it when you start the program if you are on the stable version if you are on the last few betas it should download the update in the background and then prompt you once it has finished downloading and offer you to restart now or have it install the latest version next time you restart the program.
  2. you need to have certain checkboxes checked and the proper command line entries per-system which should all be covered in the tutorial.
  3. what you need to do during import is use the windows search to just search for the .rpx file and if its only two games just use the add button in the bottom right corner and add them individually and then you can navigate to the folder and pick the .rpx file you need.
  4. Go to tools options updates and check the beta checkbox restart the program and you should be prompted to download the beta. Very easy.
  5. From what I've heard Jason say before is that if he would switch to using c++ it would slow down development time immensely as the development isn't as easy as the c# .net stuff. I've been around here for awhile now (pre-Bigbox) and I've seen nothing but growth and improvement in the application so why he would reinvent the wheel instead of continuing down the path the application has been for years I don't know but it would probably mean the whole application would have to be rewritten to be in c++ which sounds like a million steps backwards to only have to get back to the same point your already at.
  6. you don't have to have a new romset if you don't want to use it for Arcade you would just need the MAME BIOS set which is available at the dome of pleasure.
  7. I would just skip MESS and use a newer version of stand alone MAME
  8. You can also achieve this effect by hitting x on your controller or P on your keyboard and it will launch the game directly without disabling it in the settings
  9. ah you are using an after market dongle that could possibly be the issues all of mine are offical MS variety
  10. Are you using Windows 10? There shouldn't be any issues with the 360 wirleess receiver drivers as I have a few of them and they are working perfectly
  11. Yeah I've never had an issue with a 360 pad needing to be configured
  12. Ipega BT controllers have to be configured in RA and they do work in BB
  13. Yeah right click the game and go to edit then go to the emulator tag and change the emulator to Retroarch that checkbox will only make RA the default on any new games you import all the one imported prior will still be hooked to the original emulator you imported them into. Well actually since they are DOS games when you imported them they don't have an emulator. Damn this isn't my area of knowledge since I don't really mess with DOS at all changing the emulator or adding one may fix the problem though
  14. Yeah DOSBox is one of those cores where it is recommended to use the stand alone or any variation of the standalone over the RA core so it may be harder to get assistance. Have you gone into Manage Emulator and edited your RetroArch settings in the associated platform tab you will have to enter The name of your platform and then the command to launch it as DOSBox isn't configured by default in the LB RA section. If it doesn't need anything special it will be -L "cores\dosbox_libretro.dll"
  15. if you only backed up your backup folder to another drive and you reformatted your drive you will only be able to recover certain things all your images manuals music and videos will be gone. You should have copied the entire folder to another drive did your reformat and copied it back. The backups really only save your LB data stuff.
  16. Oh nice I thought this just made getting the TruRip Mega-CD collection a waste of time but I see they also have .cue files in with them

    Gpd win

Well if it has integrated HD or Iris 500 or 600 series it supports Vulkan and DX12
  18. DOS76

    Gpd win

Does GDPWin have a mobile graphics chip and if so does it support DX12 and Vulkan some one on another thread is running Dolphin with DX12 and Vulkan on an Atom CPU with Intel Graphics
  19. It's also no where as good as Demul which is sad because Demul isn't perfect either.
  20. NullDC system requirements are much lower than Demuls
  21. I don't use snes9x core at all and I wasn't aware that setting existed in RA so I don't have a clue on how you should proceed I just know if you wanted to use it for all games that is how you do it if you wanted different percentages for games based on how they perform or what ever you would make a pergame over ride.
  22. If you want to make it for every game you have to change the setting and then go back out Options and save a percore over ride and it should apply to all your SNES games.
  23. When you set up RetroArch in LaunchBox it will fill in associated platforms by default but the defualt snes core is the snes9x something or other which is a core name that isn't even used in RA any longer for that particular line in the associated platform you will change what is typed there to use the name of the core you want and not the one that is listed by default.
  24. If you open the file with a txt editor you can see there is no sensitive info there you won't find your cc# in there. It basically contains your name your email your purchase date and a insanely long line of random numbers and letters that must mean something to Jason but wouldn't mean anything to anyone else.
