  1. LaunchBox mindreader edition is still in early alpha. Then it will just do what ever your warped little minds can think of with no need for the user to do anything.
  2. You can put them anywhere you just have to set the path to them in Demul
  3. That is strange if its in X-Input mode then LB should definitely work with it.
  4. Okay now you were told in the other thread we don't support RetroArch on vita but now you've posted again and clearly you are still on a Vita based on your images. You would be better off asking someone on the RetroArch forums.
  5. If a game requires a CHD for it you will need the CHD separately but any bios or system board file would be included in the non-merged zip for that game.
  6. There is no way to keep it up to date with out reimporting. you just run the wizard once a month and let it go best bet is to not get any media while re running the importer this makes it much quicker

    MAME CHD's

yeah if the chd set doesn't have a matching number of the rom set on PD that is just because there were no files added since the last version number you see.
  8. Change your image and the name to something arcade related so at least when it shows it its something relevant to the arcade machine
  9. I don't get the bios sets personally but I have CHD, Software LIst and Software LIst CHDs all in their own subfolders. Don't consider it OCD just good house keeping. The MAME full set is one folder that loads slow in Windows for me with just the base set don't need even more stuff in there.
  10. That quote by him is very incorrect! You can not just drop update packs into your MAME set. It won't be whole games and it will overwrite your original file which will contain all the other parts of the ROM that need to be combined with the piece in the update pack. I use a method that involves a program called TorrentCheck, In TorrentCheck you simple drag the new torrent file onto the first line of the program and then under that there is a place to enter the path to your ROMs it then will run and check your ROMs against the new torrent if it finds any files that are no longer part of the set for whatever reason. It will then generate a text file that tells you the names of all the games that you either are missing or have been altered and the rom size is no longer correct. I open the torrent then when the torrent client offers me the option to set download path and choose if I want to skip any files in the torrent, I choose to not download anything. Using the list I go through the torrent and download only the files missing or wrongly sized. The list was 104 games this month so it does take some manual labor every month doing it this way. As a tip you can click on a game in the list and then type in the 1st few letters of the ROM you want (This is with the QBittorrent client) and it will move down to that position in the list. Just click the check boxes for all the games on the list. I download the files to a separate folder I suggest this as QBittorrent doesn't like that when you skip files it will take files you have and put them in an unwanted folder which is not good in my opinion. After the torrent is complete I copy all the files and paste it into my existing folder then I run TorrentCheck again and now it will output a new text file telling me that there are no missing or wrong size files, That or that I missed something and it isn't complete. Wouldn't be the 1st time. So this method while involving some work is very simple and straightforward without having to use CLRMAMEPro. https://forum.pleasuredome.org.uk/index.php?showtopic=34760&hl=torrentcheck
  11. CHD;s have to be in folders named after the zip yes but they do not have to be in the same folder as your ROMs. If you do want to keep them separate from the ROMs you need to specify the path either in the built in MAMEUI or the mame.ini file.
  12. sounds like it could be an error hopefully someone else who emulates C64 can see if they have those games and if it works identical to what you are seeing on their system.
  13. You can actually use the copy paste method move the roms import them into LB then delete the copied roms and change your path in Demul to your MAME folder and edit the path in LB so it all points to your MAME ROMs
  14. You guys are extremely brave. I'm hoping that this turns out to be a great product but until its been made I'm too skeptical
  15. Well he asks for one or the other one is already possible as per Jason's reply the other is not currently possible
  16. Are you running Vista? I also know that Windows 10 builds expire about every 18 months and if you aren't up to date from one of the builds a while back you can't get 4.7. If its a Windows 10 issue I just suggest updating Windows
  17. Nothing wrong with K-Lite so while you may not need it there isn't any reason to advise against it. Especially if you need to use WMP for anything because that does require codec packs.
  18. Its only for game play videos so if you click a game the video should show in the games detail pane on the right side. I believe there are a few places in the UI you need to turn them on. One is in Tools Options Game Details. Also under view check auto play videos
  19. you'd need a team of researchers to scour the forum and find outdated info and change it all or mark it all as obselete
  20. you can also use the intellivision voice for the games that use it but I don't remember exactly what it is. Basically you use cart1 to load the voice device and then cart 2 to load the game. If you are interested maybe @spycat (who I learned that this is possible from) can chime in with the exact command
  21. Yeah I wouldn't want to install Lakka on a tablet I'd be afraid that it wouldn't have touch drivers available. I would think if you wanted to do this with a tablet you would need at least one with a i3 preferably an i5. Beside the Surface tablets I don't know if any one is making Windows tablets anymore but understand the higher end surface tablets are pretty nice.
  22. Drag and drop is the best method to import in my opinion.
  23. Its easy to set MAME to use what ever monitor that you want to use its in the MAME.ini settings but for on the fly switching I don't know that might be more difficult you may want to just set up 2 instances of MAME on your PC and then when you want to use your projector go to the Launch with option and choose the emulator that tells MAME to use the projector instead. I had a dual monitor setup for a while with one horizontal monitor and one vertical monitor so I copied my MAME.ini twice renaming them Vertical.ini and Horizont.ini this creates a secondary .ini that supersedes the ini and tells it how to orientate the game so in Vertical.ini you set the monitor to use the secondary display and then all of your Vertical games will launch on that monitor.
