If you have the latest MAME bios set you shouldn't have to rename it Demul should be using the newer names from MAME.

yeah the latest demul releases are looking for updated files from MAME so if you have an up to date MAME set you will already have all the files that you need to make this work

There is an option to skip the games detail in BB and there are probably different views for the theme (not sure what since I don't use it) that may have a video instead of fan art.

I don't really know how much time has passed but I have suggested things also and they haven't made it in but that is okay as they are just suggestions and Jason can add what he wants when he wants to, so if a feature I suggest never makes it in then there isn't any issue to me as I don't have any expectations that he has to add something because I say so. It sounds like your children just have to be patient and learn from their mistake of spamming the button instead of just repeating the same mistake over and over again.

It probably doesn't qualify as 3D boxes to the mods as it more as a fanart box but don't know what they would do as there is no category for fanart 3D boxes. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along and give you there 2 sense on where it belongs. I can't see them not wanting to add these to the DB its just a matter of where they are acceptable to add.

well of course there is that to if the cue's don't reference the right file that will definitely cause issues. Glad you figured it out. Have you edited LB to use the Mednafen Core its is preconfigured to use the Yabause core

That means you disk dump is bad there are tools you can try to use to fix it (which I don't remember the name of) or you may have to find different games again. @Lordmonkusknows the tools you need hopefully he will chime in when he sees this.

If you set them up in MAMEUI64 and they aren't working in LB go to the ini folder in the root folder for MAME and move the mame.ini out into the root folder (assuming that is the issue). For some reason if the ini file is in the ini folder then LB has trouble enacting any of the settings for it but if its in the root folder it should work as expected.

oh they should work in game but that isn't controlled by LB at all that will depend upon the emulator itself

Sorry to say so but yes that is what I am saying. Doesn't your cabinet have regular joysticks also that you can use to navigate? The trackball/spinner for controlling the UI was on the poll a few months ago and it received very few votes and was below the cutoff of features to be added.

Yeah I suspected they weren't supported but wasn't 100% sure.

If you go to Tools>Options>Gamepads/Joysticks there is a textbox to use all controllers but I'm not sure if they work with spinners and trackballs.

If you are using the Games details view any additional apps should be listed there in BB if you aren't using it you can set it to a button and get it to come up and then choose your additional app from there.

So if you have 2 roms for the same game one with the intro and one without you can set one as the main game and another as an additional app and then if you want to launch the main game just click it from LB as usual and if you want to launch the additional app game you right click the game in LB and choose the other version from the menu.

Okay what emulator are you trying to use to play the games

I don't think this is possible but would be a good feature to add
