Did you add the location of your bios to your Mame rompaths or place your bios in your Mame bios folder ? What I have done is I have a separate Mame install just for non arcade emulation and I dump all the bios files in the roms folder.

coleco -cart That's the command line parameter for it. You will also want to add folder where you bios files are located to the rompath of Mame.

NEO GEO MVS AES, Retroarch, Game wont boot
Lordmonkus replied to breite07's topic in Troubleshooting
Uncheck the "No space before rom" box. The neogeo.zip bios file goes in the same folder as your Neogeo roms. No, Launchbox handles it just fine. -
The Mess core no longer exists since being rolled into the Mame core and getting non arcade stuff working with it is a major pain in the ass. To use the Blue MSX core you need the \Machines folder from the stand alone version, copy that folder over to the Retroarch\system\ folder and it should then work. Personally I use and suggest using the stand alone version of Mame.

That's how it works now, if you remove a game it doesn't get rid of the media, when you re-import just re-scrape the metadata and uncheck all the media.
-
I do both but what I collect is kept very limited to the stuff I really care about, I don't buy crap just to have it in the collection.
-
If you are using Split or Merged sets no, there is no easy way to do this and there is stuff that does not get imported which is absolutely critical to have such as bios files (ex: neogeo.zip) and possible parent roms. If you are using Non-Merged sets this becomes a bit easier since everything is self contained in each zip for each game. But it would still be manual work, no automatic way of doing it. Edit: Though one thing you could do if using the Non-Merged set is on import tel Launchbox to copy your roms to the Launchbox\roms\ folder, then you could delete your "full set". This should work but of course I have not tried this so I cannot say with 100% certainty I would do what you wanted.

The Mame core saves your controller setups automatically per game just like in regular Mame, using the "Tab" menu. The individual cfgs are saved in \Retroarch\saves\MAME\mame\cfg
-
nope, just in the folder with the emulator
-
Yeah some games work, more don't so it all depends on the game.
-
It may run but it's going to awfully slow. Yeah you need a keys.txt file in your Cemu folder and in that text file is a string of txt, these are decryption. I don't know if the keys are legal to share or not so I won't be uploading mine here, they aren't hard to find though.

Hmm, very strange that the AHK script isn't working for you, I use it on 2 systems without issues.
-
What version of ePSXe are you using ? 2.0.5 ?
-
Are you loading with the following command line parameters in Launchbox for ePSXe ? -nogui -slowboot -loadbin
-
If you have a mouse hooked up that should work though i'm not sure if that's on by default, the right mouse button will go back.
-
Try this AHK Script, it's the one I have setup and works for me. $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }

Escape. Options > Keyboard Mappings and Options > Controller Buttons If it's recognized as a standard game controller it should just work but if not then go to Options > Controller and enable it. They should just auto play when you highlight a particular game.

I added this to the Small Things list as well since it really is something small and should be there.

Glad it's working for you now. Yeah, Vulkan for some emulators is a new thing and sometimes has problems.
-
Try D3D or GL, this this is why I said to try a fresh install, I don't believe that that the Vulkan render is the default because of hardware compatibility.
-
Essentially they make clean dumps of roms with no extra junk like the old "cracker intros" that would get injected into pirated games back in the day.

Well like I said, I haven't seen that error and a quick Google search for it came up with nothing./ I use 1.5.4 on an AMD 8350, 16 gigs ram, 970 graphics card and Windows 10 and it works perfectly. Did you possibly change the video renderer ? Vulkan maybe ? I'm just taking guesses here.
