  1. From what i've observed, the artwork for the backgrounds comes from the "fanart" folders for platforms and games as well
  2. Okay, thanks for the response. I can imagine that the "title" (code) can be found somewhere in one of the theme's XAML files. I'll take a look at it as well and see what I can do.
  3. Great work! What would be nice is if/when there's not a logo available, the name of the game appears in the form of text instead. Thanks for sharing this!
  4. With the latest beta, the startup screens have a much improved loading time. Just tried retroarch with a few different cores and the startup screen now displays for more than 2 seconds. @Jason Carr great work once again!
  5. Highly agreed. With a startup screen of less than 1 second, this feature isn't being used to its full potential, except for people who like everything to move super-fast, or maybe i'm just getting too old for all that super-fast stuff
  6. @Jason Carr Just tried out 9.2 beta 2 but I haven't noticed any difference in the startup load delay. No matter what time I set it, (2 sec, 5 sec, 12 sec, etc. the startup screen and emulator all load up in about 1 second. Did I miss something or do something incorrectly?
  7. Very nice! It's really good to have the option to disable startup screens with the older systems which load up instantly (atari 2600, nes, etc.) and be able to use the startup screens for the more slower-loading systems (playstation, dreamcast, etc.). And +1 on GreenGriffon's idea, mentioned above this post. Great work as always?
  8. Okay, thanks a lot for pointing that out. I guess that I never really noticed it before since I tend to use the other c64 emulators more than ccs64
  9. Great work! @neil9000 and @Jason Carr thanks a bunch! Also, is there any way to increase the startup screen loading time? I'd just like to add about 1-2 more seconds
  10. Me neither. Thanks a lot for the effort though!
  11. Okay, thanks for the quick reply. I tried to change some of the code myself but couldn't figure it out
  12. Thanks a lot for sharing this theme! @neil9000 just wondering, do you know how to increase the size of the boxes?
  13. Actually, all three emulators allow you to speed up the disc-loading process significantly, and the compatibility is about the same. With Hoxs64 I use "-fullscreen -quickload -autoload" in the command line settings, and it speeds everything up nicely. But it's all a matter of preference which one you choose
  14. Glad to hear you got it working! While CCS64 is a great emulator, I use Hoxs64 or Vice, which at the moment, don't have the loading-pointer issue that I mentioned with CCS64
  15. As someone who plays around with all of the Commodore 64 emulators, and after reading this I just gave CCS64 a try with the new startup screen implemented. Make sure that you have full screen set up in the video options, and then exit out with ALT+X. Afterwards, the emulator will automatically start in full screen and the startup screen should work also. The only issue for me though, is that there's a loading mouse-pointer floating around on the screen while CCS64 is running
  16. Yep, same here. I tried PCSX2 and it's fine without the startup screen turned on, but I only get a black screen with the startup screen implemented. However, no problem with retroarch, mame, vice64, altirra, redream
  17. Great work once again! I like how the startup screen implements the fanart and the logo in there. It would be great if the boxart or arcade advertisements could be thrown in there somewhere too Also, I noticed that the fade-in (returning to launchbox) is somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes it will fade and other times it won't. But for a first release with this feature, it's looking very good!
  18. No worries! I can see that you're rather busy here, haha. Anyways, I figured out how to change the box location and dimensions with the "Margin" part in the XAML code, as you also pointed out. The only issue that I have now is that the box size and position changes depending on the original 3D boxart size. As you can see below, the Sega Genesis box is too small but this is not the case with some other systems like SNES, Dreamcast, etc. which are more basic square shape (cd case) or wide box (SNES, Nintendo 64). Seems like an obvious answer, but I gather that I'll have to make different (individual) themes with different "Margin" values for each system?
  19. @RetroHumanoid great work as always. Thanks again for sharing this fantastic theme!
  20. Have you tried the "Retrotastic" theme? It has a variety of styles for various platforms. Also, you may know this already but you can change themes on the fly within BigBox, which allows you to apply a theme to a specific platform. You have to go in the options and set a keyboard or controller input for changing themes.
  21. As the wiki page indicates and from what I've seen and heard, the compatibility is excellent and near perfect. It's probably the best choice for accurate 3DO as well as Atari Jaguar emulation. However, it's a rather tricky emulator to set up in LaunchBox and other frontends, as you have to create individual profiles for the games within the emulator. Also, the program is in Russian so you'll need to find and add the translation file for English, which can be found here: https://www.ngemu.com/threads/phoenix-project-3do-emulator-translated-into-english.191753/
  22. Weird! It was an option/feature I never touched before but got turned off somehow after the latest official update. Anyways, thanks!
  23. @Jason Carr I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I'm running the latest version 9.1 and the gameplay videos on the right sidebar do not automatically play like they did before. There's just a black box (shown below) and I have to click on it in order for the video to start every time. I've also tried changing the video players, using both VLC and Windows Media Player but the results are the same.
  24. Ahh okay, then I'll take that as a "yes" Thanks for clarifying that
  25. I was wondering about that too. Also, would adding a fade cause any significant hit in system performance?
