  1. There's a few ways you can do that. The easiest way is to delete/move the image from the folder, for example: "\Images\Platforms\Atari 2600\Banner". The 2nd way is to use another theme which doesn't incorporate these banner images, for example the "Retrofresh" theme doesn't use these banners. The other way (and most difficult) is to open the theme in your text editor and remove the code which contains the banner, but I definitely wouldn't be able to give a tutorial on that part
  2. Glad to hear that! As a person who also struggled to get the 'oddball' systems like Bally Astrocade to work properly in the past, I know exactly how you felt. The good news is that if you add any more mame/mess related systems (Fairchild Channel F, for example) you can follow the same method as this one. Try this page on the launchbox forums for more information about default command lines and emulator configurations
  3. Uncheck "Don't use quotes" and "Use the file name only.." and see if that works for you
  4. How about the games? 'zip' or 'bin'?
  5. That's rather strange. Is your bios file named "astrocde.zip" and in the roms folder? Also, are your astrocade games in zip/7z format or are they uncompressed? (.bin) I highly recommend uncompressing them to save any hassles while using mame with arcade games.
  6. If you don't have a 'mame.ini' file, then you have to create one. Open a command prompt window (type "cmd" in the "Type here to search" in Windows 10). Then go to your mame directory and type "mame -cc" (without the quotes of course)
  7. This looks a little shady. The downloadable file on their website is named "updater"?
  8. Also, make sure that your mame.ini includes the folder where your bios is located. Example: (I have my astrocde.zip in the "bios" folder) # # CORE CONFIGURATION OPTIONS # readconfig 1 writeconfig 0 # # CORE SEARCH PATH OPTIONS # rompath bios;roms;
  9. Can't give you a complete tutorial or anything of that nature. But what you should do first, is put the videos in the folder -> videos / platforms /. Then make sure that the video is named exactly the same as the platform (Nintendo Entertainment System). Then, in BIgBox options, go to "videos" and make sure that "Use platform background videos" is checked. Then you should be ready to go
  10. Thank you for adding the box/cover artwork! Nicely done

Sounds great! Looking forward to the next release

Very nice simple theme! Would like to see a way to implement cover/box art in there somewhere, somehow
  13. Right! I noticed that feature after playing around with the freeintv core earlier. That's certainly a very welcome feature
  14. It's great to see another emulator available for the Intellivision! Just wondering, what are the neat features which you mentioned?
  15. Indeed, there are many an ass-hat on the internet. Truly a shame to hear that
  16. Doesn't really seem all that awesome. Thanks anyways
  17. I found a way to 'quick-fix' the issue. When I restore LaunchBox as a window (not maximized) and change the size of the details sidebar, then it will save that same position again later, including when it's maximized. However, it won't save the position when you simply change the size while LaunchBox is maximized.
  18. This doesn't seem to be fixed, after I tested the latest beta today. Is there a setting/option I'm missing somewhere?
  19. Oops! @Jason Carr I guess I may have spoken too soon. After a system reboot, the issue has come back again. I guess it wasn't (inadvertently) fixed after all. Oh well! Hope that you can get it done in one of the next beta updates
  20. That's odd because now the details pane is saving and remembering its last position, as I've tested this a few times in a few different ways while closing or exiting from LaunchBox. Prior to this beta release, it was not saving at all. I guess you somehow inadvertently fixed this issue. Well done!
  21. Thank you very much for fixing the [details column - remember last position] issue. It's working great now!
  22. Not a beginner here and been around the emulation scene for way too many years but thank you for sharing this! Very useful and helpful information, and it should be posted somewhere on the front page, or perhaps with the LaunchBox startup page
  23. Great work once again! Thank you for providing such useful and helpful tutorials!
  24. This looks like an extremely useful program, considering the fact that you don't have to extract an entire ISO file, which would take up a lot of space and it slightly harder to organize. I've (also) yet to try RPCS3 but have been following its progress here and there. Just wondering, are there a lot of playable games now?
