  1. This is because the files that you imported into Launchbox no longer exist. You will have to go platform by platform. Just delete the platform and re-import it, leave the get metadata option checked, but uncheck all the media downloads as you already have it all and it will re-attach after. There isnt a lot we can do if the files you imported are no longer available, you will have to do some manual work to associate the new files.
  2. Its been stated many times that this is for MAME only and wont work with retroarch. Also if you ask most people around these parts if you should use MAME or Retroarch for Arcade most would tell you MAME. If all your games were already working in Retroarch you dont need any additional files, the same files will work in MAME, as thats actually what they are made to be used with. And yes its not supported as we cant check for cheaters like we can in actual MAME.
  3. If you download from the forums you will likely need to rename them if they have more than two words in them, as underscores are added during the upload process. For example Playstation would be Sony_Playstation, you will need to replace the underscore with a space instead.
  4. Who uses save states for Arcade games when you can finish most of them in 15-20 minutes anyway.
  5. You realize having PAL version only will mean your games run slow right? I am in England myself and therefore grew up playing the PAL versions of games mostly (i had two friends with imported SNES and Megadrives for JAP/US releases), but always use US roms were i can simply for the speed increase.
  6. Thats expected behaviour. If you change the platform name new folders with that name are created and media is then stored there.
  7. wow, you have many issues according to that error. You ever tried fixing your Windows before blaming Launchbox Plugins?
  8. I would leave the old version available as well though, for people who are stuck on a version pre 10.12.
  9. You should never download random MAME roms off of the internet for this exact reason. MAME and the roms themselves change over time, you cant just use a random rom with a random version of MAME as the emulator knows what files should be in the zip for that version, and if they dont match it wont work. Also many roms will need a "Parent" rom or a bios rom in order to work. Take your Street Fighter 2 Turbo as a example, you will also need the "Parent" Street Fighter 2 rom, as most of the actual game data is in the Parent, and only the differences are in the actual Street Fighter 2 Turbo game zip.
  10. This is likely due to the third party apps that come with launchbox being moved into a new "third Party" folder. I see references to 7zip in the error, so if the plugin is using the 7zip included with Launchbox then it can no longer find it due to the move. @alec100_94 will need to update the plugin with the new paths if this is in fact the cause.
  11. Yes, i was about to post the same. Use the audit and sort by a image type, highlite games and right click.
  12. What version of MAME are you using?

    Adding CHD's

Actually neither the roms or the CHD's are actually imported into Launchbox. As long as MAME itself knows the locations they will work.
  14. Correct, the higher quality one will be prioritized. You wont really find HD ones anyway though, those are for actual PC games, the consoles were not HD so the video snaps wont be either.
  15. I just tried that game here. I have never played it before so im not sure exactly how it is supposed to sound, but it sounded OK to me.
  16. Yeah, as i said the more "popular" ones are included in the program. Anything else you will have to add to the appropriate folder yourself.
  17. Right click the game and go to edit, then the associated apps tab, click on the version you want and then click "make default" OK out of the edit window.
  18. 10.13 has just been released that should fix the 7z issue.
  19. They are "MAME Software List" roms, they will only work in MAME as they are packaged specifically for that emulator and wont work with any other emulator. If i was you i would look for a new set, preferably a "no-intro" one. NES games should be single files with the extension .nes.
  20. Wait theres your problem, those are MAME roms not normal NES roms. You cant use Retroarch for those.
  21. Launchbox only has a limited number of images provided with the installer.exe. So yes for other systems you will need to provide your own images.
  22. If your games dont work in Retroarch they will never work from Launchbox. You want to concentrate on just retroarch at the moment. What files are in the zips you are trying to load?
