  1. You cant use a fallback video im afraid. At the end of the day this is down to you using "theme" videos rather than standard game video snaps. Only a few platforms even have theme videos, and even then they are far from complete sets.
  2. All the rom zips should be loose in the roms folder, so not MAME/roms/mame 0.220 (split), but just mame/roms/all the zips. You can have it the way you have it, but you would need to tell mame, as currently looking in the roms folder and only seeing another folder, not the roms.
  3. Akai Katana was added at around 0.200, thats a great cave horizontal shooter.
  4. You dont need to put anything in the command line, you pick it from the dropdown.
  5. If its not in the emulators rom folder then yes, either through the UI or directly in the mame.ini.
  6. Maybe, maybe not. If its a 0.220 set you should really use version 0.220 of the emulator.
  7. I wouldnt recommend picking out random games from a merged set you will likely be missing the bios files needed.
  8. Because they are not different platforms, they are just regional naming differences for the same platform. Our database is US based so platforms like that inherit the US name, all the games from other regions are still in there, just marked with Japan as the region. So scraping PC Engine as Turbografx-16 is no different than scraping it as PC Engine in the first place the as games are still there. I have to do the same thing with Sega Genesis, i'm in England, and there was no such thing as the Sega Genesis here, it was the Sega Mega Drive, just like Japan. So i called the platform "Sega Mega Drive" and scraped as "Sega Genesis" in order to get all the games scraped correctly. Launchbox imports exactly the files you tell it to, and who is to say that the Hyperspin list is actually a accurate list itself? No-Intro romsets get updated often with new games also often added, so i wouldnt take a old Hyperspin list as gospel. If you seem to have less games than you think then they were probably just conbined, which is a option in the importer that is checked by default. So for example Mega Man and Rock Man are the same game with a regional naming difference, and again as the database is US based you will have Mega Man in NES, and if you right click that game you will also see Rock Man.
  9. Scraping, getting media and metadata for the systems. You can call the platforms whatever you like, but PC Engine you will "scrape as" Turbografx 16, Super Famicom you would "Scrape As" Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
  10. MAME roms MUST stay zipped or else they wont work.
  11. Then you have something strange going on, CHD's dont need any higher specs than other roms, i mean those £60 chinese handheld consoles can run CPS3 just fine on dual core 1ghz arm, processors.
  12. CHD games dont take any more power to run than standard MAME roms, they just have more data hence the added image file.
  13. When this happened to me yesterday when i posted here (it wasnt the first time it had happened in the last few days) Bigbox had been closed for several hours. This isnt the cleanup and zipping of data, it simply doesnt close, period. It has started happening for me with either 10.14 or specific themes, or a combination of both. I will note that it doesnt happen every time, and that i only notice it when i go to open Launchbox or Bigbox and i get the warning that Bigbox is already running.
  14. You should only need to do it once per game, and its then saved for future use. Also you can use the MAME fast forward button to speed it up.
  15. Correct, software lists are not officially supported. However there is a plugin in the download section that should do what you want.
  16. Hmm, yeah you would think it would have to be off, but then again in nvidia control panel you toggle gsync on, but also have to leave vsync on there as well.
  17. I have vsync off and and variable refresh set to on globally in RA. And i have the Amiga core set to PAL 50, works great.
  18. I think we already have this dont we? Try dropping these folders into Launchbox/Images/Platforms/Nintendo 64 and see if it works. Nintendo 64.7z
  19. That would only apply to MAME, not other systems, and going by the example name you gave of "SpaceHarrier v1.3 NTSC" thats not a MAME rom. With roms you want all additional info inside of brackets. So in this case your rom should be named "Space Harrier (v1.3 NTSC)" then the importer will ignore the extra info with regards to matching the game in our database. MAME is handeled differently as the roms should never be renamed or they wont work, so in that case we use the official MAME info to match the rom shortnames to the full name on the fly during import.
  20. Hmm, this is interesting, i have just reported to Jasion in our moderator discord that i have been having a issue the last few days with Bigbox not closing correctly and that i have to kill it via task manager. Then this popped up and made me think, i have been messing with BannerBox and now this new theme the last few days, so it fits with me having the Bigbox closing issue.
