  1. VLC.
  2. He means like this.
  3. The import process hasnt changed for a long time, there is no real way to do it wrong.
  4. Just drag and drop the folder onto launchbox and choose the "none of the above" option in the wizard to import them without assigning a emulator to them.
  5. CIA files are the format used when installing things to a real 3DS, so i assume you would need to "install" them to the emulator. To be honest you dont want CIA files for emulation.
  6. It was never in our database. If people have it in there Launchbox they manually added data and images for it, which your free to do. You can add anything to Launchbox, whether its in our database or not.
  7. You can type any name you like into the box, it doesnt have to be in the dropdown list. However it is not in our database so the tables will not scrape any info or images.
  8. Vector games work just fine in MAME.
  9. Epic importer seems to be working fine, good job Jason.
  10. You dont find a answer as we do not provide support for downloaded builds of Launchbox. I would say set it as dinput, but keyboard will work also, (xinput would be better), and yes you need to set it in every emulator you want to use.
  11. Yeah that makes sense, as i assume they are using the MAME shortnames, and Launchbox doesnt know how to scrape those unless it knows to use the MAME naming scheme.
  12. Primal Rage is a non working game in current MAME versions. Launchbox by default when using the fullset importer only imports working games, Primal Rage isn't currently working so is omitted from the import. Talk about it in this reddit thread.
  13. Also just a thought as well, any way you can connect the system to the net temporarily either via ethernet or a wifi dongle just to make sure that Launchbox does actually load as normal. Just to rule out a issue with maybe corruption during the install related to chromium or some such.
  14. Because that is included with Windows, not with Launchbox. As for the rest of your post i cant really speak to that, apart from saying as the program is updated and improved things will change and plugin creators will need to update there plugins to stay inline. I have seen this with other programs as well that updates break plugins, theres not really a lot that can be done there without just freezing the program and not updating it when new features are available. That is just the nature of a plugin feature as the program updates/evolves, plugins will need to adapt to the changes.
  15. As mentioned in the first post of this beta thread, all third party programs that are used by Launchbox have been moved into there own folder. @eatkinola or any other plugin creator using some of the third party programs/library's included with Launchbox will need to update there paths
  16. You need both files, but Launchbox only needs the .cue file imported. The .cue tells the emulator what other files there are.
  17. You can set playlists to show anywhere you like. In launchbox right click a playlist and edit, go to the parents tab, and check the box's for where you want it to show up. You need to be in platform category mode first.
  18. You dont need to use the -c commands anymore, and you also dont need to split cores. Retroarch now has three override types, "save core override" "save game override" and "save content directory override" use the content directory override, for different settings for cores that support multiple systems.
  19. Hamburger menu/Help/force update metadata package. It dows update automatically when you do something that requires metadata. Also its worth noting the actual database is only updated every 24 hours.
  20. Well that is all changeable if you edit the theme. This is just how Jason decided to display them in his default theme. Other creators, or yourself if you edit a theme are free to put those where you like in the game details bar.
  21. Well that is something specific to your system then. I use both the startup/shutdown screens and the pause screens with Retroarch just fine. Do your settings match these?
  22. Thats cool, but this thread is for beta testing, so lets stick to that please and not start spamming it with high scores.
  23. Just to check, is the emulator actually crashing as im guessing not? I think you are just seeing the the Launchbox shutdown screen, which can happen if the emulator loses focus and therefore Launchbox thinks it has been closed and shows the "game over" screen. So i would check that as well.
