  1. Yep, its a known issue with steam link, it knows that you launched launchbox/bigbox, it doesnt however know that that program then launched another (the emulator). You need to look into a paid steam app called "Virtual Here".
  2. The database moderators are different than the forum ones, but yes, they should see the error and reject it.
  3. So you are using the same roms you have always used? If so what version of MAME were you previously running?
  4. As i said in my previous reply, it looks like you are running retroarch in a window on your desktop, is that correct?
  5. When you say updated to 0.210 what exactly do you mean? Did you update your romset, or download a whole new 0.210? Or did you just download the new emulator version and are trying to use old roms with it? If you have a full romset for 0.210 you should have the bios files also.
  6. That looks like you have retroarch windowed, that wont work it needs to be fullscreen.
  7. Yes, Launchbox is portable so you can have more than one on your system, i actually do just that myself. I have Launchbox with all the emulators and games on my d drive, and i also have a Launchbox with the emulators on my C drive using the games from D.
  8. Sounds like a startup/shutdown screen issue to me, have you tried disabling them in the Bigbox options? Also instead of pressing Escape try ALT TAB is the game there?
  9. That wont work unless you have a arcade associated platform like i said, as it is retroarch it will need the platform name and the core to use, like this.
  10. There are two separate screeens, one for the Launchbox database and another for Emumovies, in your case on the first Launchbox one uncheck everything except for platform videos, and on the emumovies screen uncheck everything.
  11. Launchbox still works just fine, in fact it doesnt care one jot what your file is it will import anything. Are you getting a "0 games imported" message? If so then that is because that game is already imported, and possibly hidden for some reason. So either find where the existing entry is, or on the last page of the import wizard click the "force import duplicates" box, this will do as it says but you will of course have two entrys of the same game then.
  12. Of course you will need a retroarch emulator already setup, and a associated platform of arcade for it, then it is just as @DOS76 said.
  13. Well some more information would help here, like what is shrump for a start?
  14. OK, yeah images i'm not to sure about to be honest, i know the metadata is a single file that is stored local on your machine and is replaced when you search for metadata, when is says its updating metadata its not scanning games just downloading a whole new file.
  15. Interesting idea, but i'm not sure how much something like that is needed to be honest. The entire metadata.xml file is only around 175MB and is downloaded in its entirety when you prompt to update metadata. 175MB isnt a particularly large file these days with the speeds of most peoples internet, it would probably take longer to parse what is new information than it would to download the entire metadata file. Just my personal opinion though.

    Show All Game Only

Yes, change this option to "All Games"
  17. What stick is it? Is it actually seen as a controller or a keyboard under Windows?
  18. Well, that does mean exactly what it says, you are missing files for Galaga in this case, was this from a full romset, and if so did you use the MAME fullset importer? Also have you told MAME the location of your romset? MAME needs the location as well as Launchbox.
  19. You need to import the .rpx files into launchbox, which are in the Game name/Code folder.
  20. I will just add that Launchbox will never need administrative rights, and that could actually cause issues as launching games will mean the emulator needs to elevate rights also.
