  1. Correct, the reason it wont skip immediately is simply because Bigbox hasn't yet loaded. Bigbox obviously needs to be loaded in order to skip the video to Bigbox.
  2. hmmmmm, i wouldnt count on i...
  3. Ill tag @Lordmonkus here as i know he uses Groovy MAME himself, may be two or three hours until he is around to answer though.
  4. There is just the one update pack, (well two as there may be a CHD update as well), thats why you need to use clrmamepro as that will move the files to the correct zips, you just tell clrmamepro what romset type you are currently using, so in your case non-merged and it will add the new/changed/renamed files into the correct zips. This varies depending on what set type you have as to where the new files need to go. Hence why it is not as simple as copying and pasting the new files.
  5. MAME is updated the last Wednesday of every month. There are two ways of updating to the new version, 1. like you said you could just download the new full pack and delete your old one. 2. they also release a update pack every month which just contains the new/changed files, however you will need to use clrmamepro to update your existing set with the new update pack, here is a guide. As for updating in Launchbox, once you have your roms updated, or a whole new set, just run the fullset importer again pointing it to your new rom folder, you can usually uncheck all the media downloads also as you will already have 99.9% of it.
  6. God yeah, i never have that on. You dont want retroarch saving configs unless you specify it.
  7. You need to save a "game override" in the quick menu after picking the bezel i assume?
  8. RocketLauncher is ignored, its a emulator as far as Launchbox sees it. It will delete media you no longer need in your Launchbox folders, so images, music, manuals and videos. Edit: And you can specify which ones it deletes before you run it.
  9. Yeah you can, but that new hide mouse pointer has been added since that post, whatever works for you though.
  10. Paste this into a explorer window, %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1} You should then see a window like this, You can then simply right click games and choose create shortcut, you will be prompted to save it on the desktop so just create a windows store folder and put them all in there. Then you can simply drag the folder onto Launchbox and choose the none of the above option.
  11. This is a issue with retroarch when using bezels. You can try using the new hide mouse cursor in Tools/Manage emulators/retroarch/startup tab.
  12. Maybe as a workaround you could put one of the other image types, and then move Box-Front to the top of the priorities list for that image type.
  13. Hmm, weirdly i cant get it to show either. Box3D and CartFront work just fine, but BoxFront and nothing

  15. Also check that it hasn't gone int a playlist instead of a platform, if you are only in platform view.

  17. Entirely up to you.
  18. You should see a list like this.
  19. Yes, just hold CTRL and click on multiple games, or use CTRL A to highlight all games in a platform then go to tools/Download metadata and media.
  20. You need to ask the devs for a cabinet code.
  21. those are recently played, have you actually played any PS2 games?
  22. To be honest with you im not that code savvy, but lets pretend this would work. So $19 for the dev mode, then $20-$50 for Launchbox, then you have to hope that the emus actually work OK, (pretty sure its not as simple as just compiling them for uwp in those cases) then pray that microsoft doesnt say, oh hang on a minute......
  23. Nice idea, but i 100% guarantee you that Microsoft will not allow programs that allow emulation, it was briefly tried before with another program, and someone also uploaded a n64 emu, it didnt last long. Also emulators designed for windows will not automatically work on that crossover. Its a lovely idea in theory, and one i'm all for, but i dont see it ever happening.
  24. Controller companion is great and i recommend it any chance i get. However i havent used it with mame as mame lets you reassign anything you like. I should probably read the whole thread back but meh, what is the issue you are having with mame?
