  1. Also i should ask do you have all the directx and .net framework drivers installed on the PC you are syncing too? It could be that some required files are missing on that PC.
  2. I will tag @Jason Carr here as i believe he syncs his setup via dropbox on his cab so maybe he can offer some advice. I dont use dropbox personally, but could it be that Windows is protecting your PC by not allowing you to load .exe's from within what is technically a shared folder?
  3. Yep, i am seeing that too. EDIT: although it doesnt seem to be everytime i close and re-open.
  4. To be honest i havent tested what im saying. any mame would work, in fact any .exe would probably work also, but i havent tested. Yeah just name it something random and simply delete it once you are done with it. All you are doing is tricking the wizard into downloading images,so as long as you give it a rom folder and a .exe for the emu the wizard should complete as normal.
  5. I personally use the hyperspin pack from here on the forums as the unified is based off of that.
  6. I would say most people tend to pick a romset and stick to it for some time, years sometimes. I personally update every month when the new update hits, but a lot of people get a set working and just stay there, as long as you dont update the emu and the romset matches it the games will always work. Its the using roms with the emu version they are not for which causes issues.
  7. This is different, it would give you access to features like the game manual and such while the game is running, its not just a standard pause the game thing.
  8. Yeah, personally i dont notice a difference between windowed or full-screen myself, but i know others do. Its a personal choice one has to make.
  9. Im not sure what you are talking about here, the launchbox youtube tutorials do not recommend Higan as a emulator. It is very good and i use the retroarch core for it, but its not what we have in our tutorials. As for saving that is done in game like any snes game would be. If you are referring to save states then those are emulator dependant and i have never used Higan so cant help you there. Our youtube tutorial is not "wrong" as we have never produced one telling you to use higan.
  10. You should be able to actually use the new mame importer, you would just need the latest mame emu. Launchbox doesnt actually scan your mame roms for what you have it just imports all known working games. So you could use the mame importer wizard point it at a random/empty folder and point it to the mame.exe as the emu and it should work. obviously the games wont actually run, but it should allow you to download the media you need.
  11. If they work in Launchbox then they work in Bigbox, there is no difference there. And yes if a games is not marked playable it simply wont load, and mostly yes it will just not get past the shader caching as that is the game loading. As i said in my previous reply, RPCS3 is simply not ready yet as only a handful of games actually work at this point in time.
  12. PS3 is a newly emulated system, that to be honest isnt ready for the mainstream yet. So that will be why there is a lack of media for it, not enough people care enough as yet to create the said media for it.
  13. Well unfortunately i think you will find that people just wont use your work if it is watermarked. Your choice of course though.
  14. Just this one that i know of.
  15. It is designed for 16:9 it wont work or look correct at 4:3 aspect ratio im afraid.

    Retroarch

That is now a dropdown, just double click in it and pick the core from the list.
  17. Yeah that looks more like a windows incompatibility, as its microsoft.windows.themes.ClassicBorderDecorator. are you using a non default shell or theme in Windows?
  18. If you just edited the default theme then that wont work as it will revert to default on next launch. This is a safety issue so that there is always a working theme present. To edit it simply copy/paste the default theme and name what you like, and then edit that. Then simply switch to that theme in the UI.
  19. Most themes do this with a fullscreen video rather than a static image. For example the image below is a Platform video created by retrohumanoid for his Unified Refried theme.
  20. lol, yep. It's subtle but its clearly there as your gif shows.
  21. Launchbox has images for nearly all working MAME games, i would suggest running the image and metadata wizard to check, click a MAME game and then ctrl a to highlight them all, then go to tools/download metadata and images and go through the wizard. As for game video snaps you wont get any from Launchbox, we only have Platform/Playlist videos, game videos only come from emumovies and you need a paid subscription in order to get them from inside Launchbox.
  22. Yep, colours and background images can be changed by the user in any theme. Tools/options colours for the colours. And tools/options Default Background for backgrounds.
  23. This is how Bad old Monkey looks for me, as i said very similar to the default theme.
  24. Ok ill chime in here as @Lordmonkus will not be around for hours yet. Are you sure the theme isnt working? Bad monkey is a very minimal edit of the default theme, so it looks very similar to the default theme. The main differences i believe are font size and spacing in the sidebar. So as in the video you have no platforms imported it's impossible to see any difference from the default theme there, if its working correctly then the platform names will be a lot closer together in bad monkey than the default, but again its impossible to tell as you have no platforms there.
