  1. Yep, this was also added to the .next beta released yesterday so is available in either version now.
  2. A 3D engine has been discussed before but i beleive the idea was dropped. In my opinion it would be too resource intensive, i have a reasonble rig so wouldnt affect me, but others are running on relatively weak hardware and it wouldnt run a 3D engine too well im guessing. We have people at the moment who complain about performance so raising the required specs is probably not a good idea. And probably from a business stance it makes sense to cater to the lowest spec you can to make everyone a potential customer.
  3. That has always been the case, Bigbox hasn't loaded at that point its just VLC playing a video so it must use the default VLC settings I guess. I'm not sure if anything can be done there to be honest, @Jason Carr would have to comment on that. And for the record if you are using WMP in Bigbox that doesn't follow the audio settings either, as they are purely for VLC once inside of Bigbox, its just the way it is.
  4. I use controller companion https://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/ It allows me to set up profiles for all the different emus that autoload when the emu starts. A lot of emus have different keyboard buttons for save states so I just map whatever buttons the emu uses to the same button combo on my controller for every emu. I use back/select and left shoulder to save, and back/select right shoulder to load. As I said it doesn't matter what button the actual emu uses as you can map any keyboard button to any controller button or button combo.
  5. Right click the game and choose edit, go to the emulation tab and check the box for commandline and add --fullboot as the command.
  6. Hey @Jason Carr one little thing I have just noticed when running at 4K resolution the "select all" and "select none" buttons when updating metadata and images are not available for the Launchbox database screen, so I have to go through and manually check/uncheck which is a bit tedious. However they show just fine on the emumovies screen (although I know they are in different places for each, LB database is at the bottom emumovies at the top) so I guess that is somehow causing the issue. However when I change my desktop resolution to 1080p everything shows just fine. Just thought I would point it out as everything else seems to be just fine and correct while running at 4K resolution.
  7. As long as the startup folder is named correctly and is in the videos folder Bigbox will automatically play the videos in it at launch. If its not then I would say there is a typo or the startup folder is in the wrong place.
  8. Hi and welcome to the community. They go in a folder called startup in the video folder, they can be named anything you like and you can have more than one, Launchbox will play a random one.
  9. Launchbox doesn't use the emumovies ftp, it uses the emumovies sync api. So them changing the ftp wont make any difference to Launchbox.
  10. Oh right yeah, i never used it from there I always used the button.
  11. You mean this button in the bottom right? It works just fine.
  12. Yeah I assume in the file name like it currently does in the standard Launchbox.
  13. Just click the platform on the left, then on a game in the platform. Then press CTRL A to highlight all the games in that platform, then just go to tools/update metadata and media.
  14. Its still to be implemented but it will be, as others have stated several times everything that is in the standard will be implemented into next, but not everything came be magically done at the same time, so things have to be prioritized. If you click the option to show versions it does pop a coming soon box, so yeah coming soon.
  15. Yeah that was completely removed a ways back, so highly doubtful that it will be added to next.
  16. Because they are different services and will have different media and images, music is only available from emumovies if you have premium for example, as are manuals. They are different, a lot of images will be the same on both but it depends really, also emumovies is the only place to get movies, manuals and music as the Launchbox database doesn't support that media.
  17. I have seen this also on my setup, I quit a game back to Bigbox and the game wheel is spinning away.
  18. Or in your 1st image just check the box that says "File Name Extensions at the top right.
  19. Yup, both are good reasons why we advise against running as administrator.
  20. Whats the file extension? it should just be .sfc. Its probable that you just had those file types associated with snes9x before, so they still are. As long as they are gamename.sfc they should work.
  21. Or just go to your account settings and change it there.
  22. Look in your Theme folder, there is a pdf.
