Yeah if users are leaving there to come here, then removing mentions to us is just adding fuel to the fire in my opinion. Maybe they should look into improving their product, rather than trying to hide the fact that better and easier to use alternatives exist.

Yeah i used PSMove with house of the dead overkill on PS3 and it worked great, that's why i want to try it on PC.

Movie Scraper Plugin [Broken]
neil9000 replied to slipsystem's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
I think it is to do with punctuation in the names, i had a lot also with no artwork, but the artwork is actually there but named incorrectly. For example i had "2001: A Space Odyssey" which scraped but didn't have art in launchbox, turned out the artwork WAS in the image folder however it had dropped any text before the : so in my image folder it was called "A Space Odyssey" therefore didn't match the movie name so wasn't showing in launchbox. I spoke to slipsystem about this via a PM and he is aware of it but not sure how to deal with it, this was his response. "its because of the safe name conversion. the : is not supported by windows so launchbox uses a convertor to change the name. im not 100% sure how Jason does this but it beats the script crashing.i will look into this properly thogh as soon as i get a chance." -
LOL, yeah i probably should of mentioned that, oh well you found them anyway.

Oh really? I have a PSMove in a box somewhere that i could use. Could you provide any links on how you got it setup? Thanks.

neil9000 replied to wyzrd's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Yeah no worries, people were trying to grab it but couldn't do so, so i zipped my copy up and posted it to help them out, hope that wasn't against etiquette. Just think it is a great tool and wanted people to be able to use it if they wanted. -

@wyzrd, you can also upload it to our download section if you would like, then it will always be available to users regardless of whether the link is kept up your end or not. Entirely up to you of course. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/5-third-party-apps-and-plugins/ -

The cinamatix videos for games are the bottom option on the image download screen. And to see them in bigbox make sure you have the option checked. Its Options/Videos/prioritize theme videos.

Import Tv Shows
neil9000 replied to slipsystem's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Yeah KODI uses that as well. You just need to ask for a API key after you register a free account there. -
Theres a echo in here!!

Yes this is very easy to do, first go to tools/manage emulators, and add the correct emulator there. Then click a snes game then ctrl a to highlight them all, right click and choose edit. Click next then in the dropdown choose emulator and in the second dropdown choose the correct emulator. All done.

Import Tv Shows
neil9000 replied to slipsystem's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Lovely, i was just thinking about importing TV Shows the other day, unfortunately my HDD with all my movies and TV Shows on died yesterday. I did manage to rescue some TV Shows though so i will check this out. P.S. Thanks for the shout out, was glad to help. -
Thats actually why i personally dont use the retroarch version, i could never get it to behave itself quite right. Although that was a while ago now, and i found MAMEUI64 and found that easy to use so sat myself there. I am sure it has got better, as retroarch has itself, but im sort of a old fart set in my ways now.

The HLSL settings can be applied in the ui on MAMEUI 64. Each to there own though, its my personal preference, but it is just that, personal. So use whatever you are most comfortable with using, the "best" emulator is always the one "you" prefer to use.
-
I have said it before but will again, i personally use MAMEUI 64 all the benefits of vanilla MAME with a easier to use mouse ui, no need to edit ini files and such choose your options in the ui and the ini is automatically written to.

7.10 Beta 10 - 'refresh platform wheel images' doesn't work
neil9000 replied to ckp's topic in Beta Testing
I would assume so, because as you said they aren't used in launchbox, so the cache can be refreshed correctly as they are not in use.
