  1. But do bare in mind that naming may be different there so may not line up with any of your games. When downloaded from emumovies from within Launchbox we rename files on the fly when needed. Going the manual route obviously wont do that.

    quick rom import.

Also i should note that in the latest betas that the import system has been changed, now roms are imported immediately and the media is then queued up for after the actual roms are in Launchbox.
  3. neil9000

    quick rom import.

Uncheck the "remove roughly matched images" option in the import wizard. A platform import without media will take seconds to import, not minutes or hours.
  4. Yeah that definitely looks like a account issue, if you are logged in and dont see the premium medias then you have a issue with your account. Obviously we have zero control over that as Emumovies has nothing to do with us. So you would need to take that up with them i'm afraid, as i say i am logged in and those medias are showing just fine for my account.
  5. Then i would head over to emumovies and make sure your subscription hasn't lapsed due to non payment. It's working just fine for me.
  6. Also two other things, not everyone wants all the different media types either, and a pack uploaded to the forums would be outdated the following day. So those are two other reasons why that's not a good idea.
  7. It's not a problem though, it's just that your expectations are way out of whack with reality. We have a online games database, that by its very nature means it's online based. The other issue with packs is not everyone has full romsets for platforms, so they don't want or need the "full" artwork pack, so doing it that way would force people to download stuff they dont want for absolutely no reason. Also many many people all over the world have bandwidth and data caps imposed by there ISP's, you don't it seems, which is great for you, but not everyone else is in that fortunate position, so forcing them to download a ton of assets they do not need is really not a good direction to be heading in.
  8. And to add to the above remarks the downloads already are multi threaded.
  9. Bandwidth should max your connection. If you are getting very slow imports then im going to guess you left the "remove roughly matched game images" option checked. That will hugely slow your imports down as every single image downloaded is compared via AI and the lower quality one is deleted. So i would look at your settings before you start bad mouthing a product and server infrastructure that you know nothing about.
  10. Yeah i havent used it either, no need as my roms are all unarchived.
  11. I believe that is to specify file types and not specific file names, but i could be wrong, i often am.
  12. Not the "good" romsets. The term "goodset" is a oxymoron its not good at all. "No Intro" romsets is what you ideally want, they are just the best known dumps of the games, no hacks, no crack group intros, just pure working roms and one of each. You are of course free to use any roms you want, but if they come in ways that are not useful for a frontend then you will have to work around those restrictions.
  13. Not from within a archive no. If the games were just separate .n64 or .z64 files then games with the same name would be combined into one entry in Launchbox and the right click menu would allow you to choose the file to load. To be honest having multiple roms inside of one archive like that is a bad way to do things and will cause you issues. I'd just unzip everything personally, but then i wouldndt have hacks and the like to start with, but thats just me.
  14. There should be platform videos there, you can download them from within Launchbox. Tools/Download platform/Playlist Videos.
  15. Correct, all our "launcher" importers use the respective API's to import your roms, it would be impossible for us to just scan your PC and be able to pick out games that came from Origin via the .exe.
  16. You would be better off reporting this over on there forums, there is nothing we can do about it here i'm afraid.
  17. This should of been fixed in the latest betas.
  18. lol, that was quite a tirade. I like how he completely ignored me saying that Alt Tab works to switch out of a game, and also seemed to make up that i said Launchbox couldn't exit from PC games, i never said anything of the sort in this thread. Someone got their panty's in a twist.

Use Bulk Rename Utility to remove the last letters from the folder names.
  20. I have over 13,000 games in my setup and the ram usage is still around 1.5GB.
  21. That too.
  22. How did you import the Platform, what emulator are you using? What did you name the platform when imported? If you right click a game and go to edit can you show screenshots of the Launching tab and the emulation tab, thanks.
  23. Yes, that is perfectly normal. Images are loaded into ram so that they do not need to be retrieved from a slow mechanical drive every time a new image is needed.
  24. Thats a ancient version of Retroarch.
  25. I dont believe Launchbox supports spinners itself. That doesnt matter though, as long as the emulator does, the Launchbox controls are only for navigating Launchbox itself.
