Those look good. I would definitely say this would get a lot of love here.

Agreed, but I would probably say edit the title to read Marquee creator. Theme creator led me to think something else. Some sample images would probably yield more responses.

You can move it where you want and name it what you want. Its just a backup file only there when you need it. All the matters is if you ever use it to restore it has to be named exactly as the platform xml file is named. Also make sure in the \Launchbox\Data\Platforms folder you never store backup xml files there. Especially if you name it after the platform, such as Arcade_Backup.xml. That will cause Launchbox to try and read both files. Backups should not be store the data folder if the file name contains the platform's name.

platform vids Changing platform theme video
Retro808 replied to BoraxkiD's topic in Playlists & Playlist Media
You can only use one and can only have one named after the platform in the folder. You just place the one you want in the \Launchbox\Videos\Platforms folder and name it exactly as the platform is named in your Launchbox setup. If you download it from the wizard it Launchbox it will do all that for you. -
Not really sure I understand. "Remove a backup restore archive"? Are you talking about removing one of the backup files from the \Launchbox\Backups folder?
-
Are they actually missing from the folders or is it a case LB is just not showing them?
-
You may not be able to unless you do some config editing. At least according to what I have seen posted. You can try Mame.

Yes. It is recommended to scrape any arcade system games as “Arcade”. -

Did you try changing views? Each theme has several views. in BigBox keyboard or controller bindings you can map a button to “Change View”.

Every emulator needs to be set-up directly in their UI or config files to use the controllers you are using. Launchbox is not a plug and play front end and the emulators for the most part are not plug and play either. Some, like reotroach can be if you are using more common controllers like Xbox or Playstation controllers. However, you can pretty much count on each emulator you choose to use you need to set it up prior to adding them to Launchbox. For Retroarch I would have my controller on and open Retroarch. Scroll to the gear icon and go to Input. Then set you User 1 and User 2 inputs as well as any Hotkey inputs (Exit, Save/Load states, etc..). Doing this without loading a game or core will set your universal controls. From there you can set core specific or even game specific controls. I would start with the universal first.

Problems with Neo Geo Scraping. How Can I fix it?
Retro808 replied to clank10's topic in Troubleshooting
It is per platform. -
How did you go about mapping your controls in Retroarch? Did you open it first without launching a core or game and set the universal mapping?

In Launchbox you can set a specific view. At the top where the menu items are click on "Image Group" and select from one of the options. -

Knowing what you tried would be helpful so we do not recommend you try those. Any chance you are running BigBox as admin? If so, we recommend not. Does it happen with any other emulator?- 5 replies

That’s why I mentioned I do not think with the Unified theme’s you can use a game specific background. It is looking for platform/playlist image.
-
Redux will look for a theme specific background and pulls the image from \LaunchBox\Themes\Unified Redux\Images\Theme\Background\ Not sure if you can get it to show the game's fanart background image.

BigBox Games Will Not Load/ Controller Mapping

Map related to what specifically? For game play you need to open each emulator and map controls there. To move around in BigBox you go to options and map either keyboard controls or map gamepad controls depending what controller/arcade stick are using. -
What control panel is that? I would check to documentation and see why the Pause button and that other button are mapped to the same key. It seems like both those buttons are set to letter “P”.

BigBox Games Will Not Load/ Controller Mapping
Retro808 replied to destrowiz's topic in Troubleshooting
There could be a few issue. As old as the mame version is you may need to remove the "-keyboardprovider dinput" portion of text from the default command line when you fo to Manage Emulators in Launchbox and edit your Mame set-up. Can you also post some pics to see if you have something else disconnected. In Launchbox go to >Tools>Manage Emulators and edit Mame. Show a pic of the Details tab and the Associated platforms tab. Then go to a Mame game and right click and edit the game. Show a pic of the Launcher tab and the Emulation tab. Let's get your games working in BigBox before we look at control issue. -
I would just bind it to the same key you have bound for Pause in LB/BB . But if you want to delete it an easy way is just to edit the Retroarch.cfg file. Find the line for input_pause_toggle and change "p" to "nul"

BigBox Games Will Not Load/ Controller Mapping
Retro808 replied to destrowiz's topic in Troubleshooting
Need to know what platform you imported and what emulator you are using. Do the games play when you launch them directly from the emulator (not using Launchbox)? Also I removed your duplicate post in the noobs section. No need for two of tue same posts. -
Is the pause the version that is Launchbox driven and it shows the Launchbox/BigBox Pause screen or is it just simply pausing the game and you still see the game? Depending on the answer you would either need to remove the button from bindings in LB/BB or go to the emulator and remove that button from the bind for pause there.
