  1. If you do choose to use MameUI just note their most current release is 0.217. If you are not seeing that version make sure you are on their site and not getting it from somewhere else.
  2. That might be the issue. Maybe there is a conflict. From inside Launchbox it will look for the mame.ini to be in the root folder which is where command line mame will place it. Offshoots like MameUI and Arcade64 started putting it in the ini folder. Make sure yours is in the root folder where the mame64.exe is. Remove (I would not delete it, just remove it to somewhere else) the one from the presets folder.
  3. Is your mame.ini file located in your ini folder or in the root folder where the mame64.exe is?
  4. This usually means you have a different video setting. For example if you have the video options set to D3D and hit tilde key it will show way more video options than if you have it set to opengl. If you open Mame on both machines go to configure options and under video look to see what they are both set to. Not saying this will fix your issue, just stating this is why you see that difference.
  5. Check the refresh rate Retroarch is set at. I remember someone having an issue like this and it turned out to be the refresh rate. I will see if I can find the post. Edited: Here is the post I was thinking of.
  6. No. It is known that the startup screens will not work perfectly with Windows games due to the various load times. You can shut it off per game for those that take to long to load. If you edit the game there will be a tab for startup/pause. Go there and choose override then turn it off.
  7. How is the sound when you launch a game in Retraorch without using Launchbox?
  8. You cannot use RocketLauncher Pause with Launchbox Pause. It will conflict. Other than RocketLauncher I am not sure there is another way of adding bezels to those two emulators.
  9. Well, we do not really troubleshoot preloaded set-ups that were bought from a third party seller or downloaded pre-setup systems either since it is hard for us to know what that person did to the settings. More specifically it makes it harder as in many cases the end user may not know either what was done and has trouble answering our questions or providing accurate information. If this is one of those preloaded system that a few people sell (something we never support) it is best to see if that person can help. After all it should be working if you or someone paid for it.
  10. Well if Sony Playstation is what you called the platform in Launchbox then that is what it will name to folder. I was giving and example of how the names need to match. You did refresh the cache in BigBox as you stated in the first post, correct? Can you share a pic of Launchbox showing the Playstation platform name and then also share a pic of the .png file inside the folder?
  11. Launchbox creates those folders to keep the portable nature of LB functioning right. Those would be the default folders created if you had roms stored in another area and on import chose to move the roms to the Launchbox structure. The folders are named by the Launchbox default system names that way as long as the games are in those folder names you would never need to remap rom location folders if you move LB around to another folder location or another pc. So I would recommend if you are using the \Games folder to house roms name the folders the way Launchbox wants them.
  12. @neil9000 First response to you Mentions what to do with chd files. They need to be placed in your roms folder and each in a folder named after its rom. The chd needs to be unzipped. As long as you have pointed mame to the main roms folder it will know where the chd is.
  13. @Mr. RetroLust Thanks. I completely forgot about that. I had not messed with the false setting in that xaml in quite a long time.
  14. Are you naming the clear logo exactly as you have the platform named? Example: In LaunchBox/BigBox if you have the platform named Sony PS1 then the clear logo would be named "Sony PS1.png" and would be stored in \LaunchBox\Images\Platforms\Sony PS1\Clear Logo\
  15. Well, we do not really troubleshoot prebuilt set-ups since it is hard for us to know what Colpipes did to the settings and in many cases the user may not know either. If the game runs fine in Launchbox it should as well in BigBox since they use the exact same emulator set-up. All either system is doing is passing along the command line needed to get the emulator to star the game. We would typically recommend using his Discord channel since he has a troubleshooting channel there. Does this happen with all emulators? If I remember right Colpipes liked to use RocketLauncher a lot.
  16. I do not believe so. I have never seen a request for this so likely not something on the list of to do's for options in BigBox settings.
  17. In a completely different folder can you download a fresh install of Launchbox? If you have not tried that yet, would you give that a try and report back. You may have something worse going on than a corrupt xml file.
  18. Well, yeah that would make sense wouldn't it....LOL. My bad. ?
  19. If you are going to come here and ask for help, then let people help. Pretty much the bulk of the users here know how much time and effort goes into emulation set-ups and cabinet builds. So how much time you may have put in is nothing new to anyone. If you are going to get so frustrated and just quit so quickly on those trying to help, well, that makes it harder for anyone to want to help. When you did the steps we told you was LB opened or closed? If it was not closed that is the issue. I just did the steps on 2 cabinets and it worked flawlessly.
  20. Yes. Remove the one from the \Launchbox\Data folder. Copy this one and paste it in the \Launchbox\Data folder and rename it "Settings.xml". This is exactly what @neil9000 was instructing you to do.
  21. So you do not see the Settings.xaml at all? There is usually 3 or 4 of them in your backups folder.
  22. I do not believe that has ever been brought up so I am going to say no there has not been a notion for this.
  23. Yeah, apologies on that I was not thinking you just wanted to know where each image type is pulled from. As I did mention regardless of the theme or the view whatever image it is showing will pull from Launchbox's image and video folder structure. Most people just take a few minutes to look through the folders to familiarize themselves with it. I have not really seen anyone ask for a list. The theme maker could actually make it show the Platform Category wheel shows Cabinet images instead of clear logos. This likely because some have a view set to TextGames versus Wheel. In your BB settings in the view options look for a setting stating something like "Remember Separate View per Platform". If you have that checked then that is why some platform views look different. If you want them all the same uncheck that. You can also bind a button or key to "Change View" that way you can switch the view on the fly.
  24. What is the exact text you are entering in the custom command line field? if you are entering just the name that will not work. You need to enter the full command line such as: -L “cores\mesen_libretro.dll”
