  1. You have to set the control mappings in both the emulators and in BigBox. Some will work outright, but always best to set them. For the games you will need map the controls in each emulator directly. For Mame just launch a game and hit Tab on your keyboard. Map the controls you want using the input options in Mame. You can set universal ones for all games using Input (General). Then afterwards you can set game specific ones by editing the controls in the option Input (This Machine). Also go in the settings in BigBox and go to keyboard controls and map the controls you want for BigBox there for your Tankstick.
  2. Would help to know what emulator. Tankstick should work relatively easy on most emulators. I use it with not much issue. The 4 settings on the tankstick are only for custom mapping the controls of the tanktick to specific keys if you do not want to use the stock mapping. Mode 1 is not programmable. Mode 2-3 are. Did you open the emulator and bind the controls to your tankstick?
  3. Step back for a second and provide us some images. Go to Launchbox then Tools>Manage Emulators. Send us a pic of the first tab and the associated platforms tab. Then go to a game and right click>edit and post an image of the launcher tab and the emulation tab. This will help up spot any issue in set-up
  4. Good to know. I would still place the videos in the correct folder though.
  5. I have never used this system as I do not have Atari loaded but it took me all of 3 minutes to get it working in Launchbox. You likely have a simple disconnect in how you set it up in Launchbox. If you want to give up, your choice. But plenty of people here trying to help you with something that actually does work.
  6. You need to have the platform name listed in the associated platform tab and then choose the Retroarch core in that screen as well. The command line is not needed in the first screen.
  7. This is the old method for startup videos. For new method just do below. Create a folder called Startup in your \Launchbox\Videos folder Drop and video file into that folder. It does not have to be named anything particular. BigBox will pay it as named. If you place more than one in there BigBox will use different ones at startup. Tip: If you have video play issues with it try using Windows Media as that player if you are using VLC and see if that helps.
  8. Thanks DOS. I have seen you all do it a little more now than before, but figured be safe.
  9. @Dynamite Jewduh In Launchbox go to Tool>Options - In the Legacy setting look in SideBar and choose "Show Counts" there is also an option to "align right" as by default it aligns left next to the text.
  10. Typically it says it. Something like (No-Intro) NES.
  11. @ModerateNOOB It's not so much that they are the ones to get, but rather getting a no-intro from a site known to house good working roms. You can easily grab a no-intro from some random site and it be junk. We typically do not direct/name rom sites on the forum due to those little legal concerns.
  12. lol thanks @neil9000 forgot about the cue file as well. Just noticed he did have some games that were already in .bin and no .cue.
  13. That’s likely your issue why you could not get these to work in epsxe. .ecm is a compression format. You need to un-ecm the file and get it to a true .bin and .cue file. If you google epsxe .ecm file you should get hits on how to do so.
  14. What version of Mame are you running? command line Mame (the one actually from the mame site) or MameUI? If the games run directly in Mame and not in Launchbox then you have something disconnected in your Launchbox set-up.
  15. What format are your PS1 game in? I see you have -loadbin command line so just want to confirm the format.
  16. In Launchbox go to Tools > Manage Emulators and edit the PSX emulator you have listed. I would recommend an emulator not so old. I think the last time this emulator was touched was 2003-2004. Eventually PCSX-R came from it. I would recommend ePSXe or the mednafen Retroarch core.
  17. If you are on 8.6-Beta 1 and trying to update you will need to open the updates folder and manually complete the last update listed. See Jason's [pst about the 4th one down in the beta thread.
  18. Did you update you Arcade game metadata, if not you need to do this to be able to use the new Mame importer data. Alsoo you have all those games actually imported into Launchbox in an Arcade platform? The playlist only pulls the games from the Arcade platform. It does not actually create a platform for CSP1, CPS2, etc...
  19. Look for it to be minimized on your screen somewhere and if you can find it double click to open it. I have had it recently open like in the image. took me a while on my 2 monitor set up to find it as it was partially shown between the two monitors. Even in this state clicking the task bar item would not bring it full screen I had to click on it in the screen. The image is a snip of the corner of the screen so it looks big, but is actually barely noticeable on the full monitor.
  20. The script is wrong. The "&" at the start. That would used if you are using a 2 button combo. Like CDBLue mentioned in his post. That is why it would never work. What buttons do you try to use to close? Or what buttons do you want to use?
  21. The side buttons furthest back on either side are mouse buttons and would not work. Those also cannot be changed in the Xarcade programming either. They are pretty much stuck as mouse buttons. So you would have to use another option or use a button combo. I use Right Pinball Button (4) and P2 Start (2). For emulators like Mame and REtroarch just set the exit button combo you want directly in them. For others that you may have issues with try one of the AHK codes in this post. In Lordmonkus first post try the code he has listed as "Universal close emulator". Also the second post I gave one I use as well. It is a code for the combo above I mentioned.
  22. Launch a game with the CPS core you are using and then hit F1 to go into the menu. Scroll to the Gear Icon and choose inputs option. Set the controls for User 1 and User 2. You can then go to Quick Menu and choose "save core override" and then anytime you launch a game with that core it will use those controls.
  23. I do not believe anything in Next should have changed to affect AHK. Tested all mine and they work fine. Tested on stable and betas. @yorketto That AHK looks like it may have a typo. Is it supposed to be a button combo command? Like Joy6&Joy7? That "&" is why I am asking. @launcherbox Can you give a specific example and the AHK you are using?
  24. Statup videos are no longer done this way. You no longer need to name it startup and place in the main vidoe folder. Now you simply add a folder called startup and drop any video you want in it with any name. The video will run full length. You can also drop several video in and it will randomize on satrtup.
  25. Just select both games in Launchbox, right click, and choose "combine selected games". If you ever want to separate them just click the game and choose the option to separate.
