  1. From a post back on page 12 of this thread, someone had put a ~ (tilde) in front of their 1. May give that a shot. ~1 & 5::
  2. Glad we were able to track down the root of the issue. In all fairness to others who upload their high scores to the leaderboard to stake their claim-to-fame, I'm inclined to say it's never going to happen.
  3. If you have time available, would you care to share exactly how you got it working? Even if it was something embarrassingly small, it could prove useful for other Community Members who in the future come across this thread and have the same issue. Thanks in advance for your time.
  4. If you have autosave enabled in MAME itself (autosave 1), you don't need the -autosave parameter. Adding that parameter just overrides whatever you have set in MAME. Just like as if you executed MAME form the Windows command prompt. Same thing with "state_directory sta" and the -state_directory <path> parameter. If in LaunchBox you have Upload Your MAME High Scores... enabled (Tools < Options < Integrations < MAME), there's a caveat... I know high scores and autosaves are 2 separate things. But if it affects that, it's possible it has an effect on auto saves as well. (I don't know for certain)
  5. Edit you MAME emulator in LaunchBox and check the Command-line Parameters for -rompath %romlocation%. If it is there, since you edited you own 'rompath' in mame.ini, remove that parameter and value.
  6. Was that copied and pasted? I ask because shouldn't there be a : (colon) in there after the D? (same in both instances)
  7. Ya, that's my problem. I see a problem/issue/concern where someone says something along the lines of "this can't be done in LB/BB", and I get on a mission to find a way that "it can be done". lol Hence many of the plugins I created. Personally, I don't call it a waste of time. Especially when I learn from it and figure out the how's and why-for's of whatever-it-is.
  8. I haven't personally tested it myself, but here a thread regarding Nintendo GameCube and RetroAchievements.
  9. I did some playing around this morning and came to the conclusion that what you are seeing in BigBox is working by design. Unlike LaunchBox, when in View Platform Categories, only the main categories and their subsets get shown. (Similar to [exactly as?] shown in the Parents tab when editing the playlist) So in BigBox, on your 1st Categories screen you'll see [on the wheel] Arcade, Computers, Consoles. (You won't see All. It's not a Category. It's simply... All games) Then when you select Consoles, you'll see Nintendo 64, Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo Game Cube, Nintendo Wii etc. [on the wheel]. But what you won't see (in addition to all those sub-Categories) is all the 2823 console games. (That would really clutter up the wheel.) Where-as in LaunchBox, you can click Consoles and in the main [middle] section you'd see all the 2823 console games. Likewise, [in BigBox] when you click Nintendo Wii, you'll only see its' subsets. Which in your case only consists of Favorites. In addition to Favorites, you will not see all 304 Wii games. (Again, would really clutter up the wheel.) Sorry for all the back-and-forth. Hopefully this [finally] clears things up (and makes sense). To see all your Wii games when in View Platform Categories (BigBox) along with the Wii Favorites playlist in Nintendo Wii, you'd need to create another playlist. Simply set the Auto-Populate parameters to Platform - Is Equal To - Nintendo Wii. In Parents, check the box next Nintendo Wii (Platform). (un-check Root if it isn't already.) Then set the Name(s) to something like "All Wii Games". This will now show 2 different items on the wheel when in Nintendo Wii.
  10. hmm.. Indeed. lol Any chance all your Wii games are marked as favorite? I assume when you select/enter into one of the Favorites on the wheel (they're all the same, just repeating) that the list of games is displayed normally.?.
  11. So... is this View Platform Categories?
  12. Ok. The "view" in your last screenshot is View Playlists. And in that screenshot, it looks like you only have two playlists. Not sure what the "view" is in the screenshot above it is. Going back to an earlier screenshot (which is in the Platform Category view)... It appears your 'Wii' Favorites has 2 Parents. Root and Nintendo Wii. If you edit the playlist and go to the Parents tab, it probably looks similar to this (with the checkboxes). That's why it's showing in 2 places. Un-check one or the other (probably 'Root').
  13. You say the marquee is [showing] on the main display (the 32"). Is the actual game [somehow?] also showing on the main display? Or is it on the 28"? From the Windows Command Prompt, run mame.exe -v This will spit out a bunch of stuff in the command window and also start MAME. In the command prompt window, look for Video: Monitor There should be (at least) 2 lines. What exactly do those lines say? In your Windows Display Settings, which monitor is set as the main display? Note, the display number being "1" does not necessarily make it the primary display. Select the larger of the 2 rectangles, then scroll down to see if Make this my main display is checked. Also, what Windows says is "1" and "2" may not be the same numbers as the -v output shows.
  14. Glad that [part of it] worked. There really isn't an ideal way to do what you're wanting. It's also the 1st time I've heard someone wanting to do it this way. Not that it's bad. It's just very niche. Maybe someone else will have a better idea. Two non-ideal, but achievable ways of getting what you're wanting are: In LaunchBox, switch to List View (View < List View [or Ctrl+Alt+T]) then click the Application Path header to sort by file path/name. But then you don't get to see the artwork you worked so hard at obtaining. (except for on the right sidebar). Which may be sufficient? Another option is to edit the games and set their Sort Title to those numbers. From the example above, Sonic The Hedgehog's Sort Title would be 04. But like your previous predicament, you'd have to do that for each game, individually.
  15. OK. And what view type are you in?
  16. When importing, the importer ignores everything inside parenthesis. So probably the easiest way to keep your special numbers in the filenames would be to use a bulk file-rename utility and have it add parentheses around the number and then import those files with the 'new' filename. The 'new' filename would be for example: (04.) Sonic The Hedgehog.ext
  17. Hmmm... What View are you in? Playlists?
  18. The Nested Name can be whatever you want and can be the same as other playlists. The Unique Name can also be whatever you want but can't be the same as any other Unique Name. So try giving it a Unique Name of something list "My Favorites".
  19. It's because the game Titles are prefixed with your index numbers. It'll find Sonic The Hedgehog. But not 04. Sonic The Hedgehog.
  20. In short, BigBox is meant for playing your games. LaunchBox is meant for managing your games (as well as being able to play them). Adding 'management' to BigBox to me seems just that much more overhead. They might would have to change the name to something like BigLaunchBox. The views expressed here are that solely of the author and in no way reflect the views of anyone else. Expressed, implied or otherwise.
  21. You probably want to go into the Parents tab and put your "Wii Favorites" playlist under one of the categories. I presume you named it something like "Wii Favorites" and not just "Favorites". Because I'm pretty sure that won't work. If you select one of those Favorites showing on your BB wheel, does your 'Wii Favorites' then show up? If so, then you'll want to change the Parents (just mentioned).
  22. I'm not sure what you mean by "in a circle". But you can create a Playlist of all your games you've marked as "Favorite" for a specific Platform. Example for a Playlist of all your favorite Wii games.
  23. Again, The Community Leaderboard is something completely different from this plugin. May try reading through the below linked thread and see if your issue [or related] had been addressed. And if not, ask there.
  24. That's a good sign. Try adding a 3 second timer before Process, Wait... Giving the com commands a few moments to settle in. If it still doesn't work, move the 1st 2 com commands into their own script and add that as an Additional App for the games and set them to Run Before Main App. Try it on one or two and if it works, there's a plugin where you can bulk add Additional Apps to all the games [that need it].
  25. I not sure you'll get much help there for this particular situation. You could try this: Run, %COMSPEC% /C echo M3.1 > COM1 Run, %COMSPEC% /C echo M3.1 > COM2 Process, Wait, mame.exe ;Sleep 2000 WinActivate ~ESC:: Run, %COMSPEC% /C echo M3.0 > COM1 Run, %COMSPEC% /C echo M3.0 > COM2 ExitApp return Try it without the sleep timer. If it doesn't work, uncomment that line.
