ah retro means backwards in Latin. Its a root word and applies to many more terms then retrospect. Here is my take on at least the sega stuff the boxes tell you why they are separate they say Sega CD Sega 32X and some even say Sega CD 32X because that is what they are you can't play those games on a genesis without the peripherals so yeah while the Genesis is the base system once you start using the add on you aren't playing a Genesis game you are playing a Sega CD the box even says so.

They should do just like that example and let you add the rom name and parameters for each game that would overide the main settings in the ini it would probably be extremely simple for them to do so.

are you sure you have that core and not the mednafen psx hw core? If you only have the HW core that is why it won't work unless you either download the core or edit that line to use the core you have. If you do have that core then I'm baffled as everything appears to be configured correctly.

@Rincewind I think you missed that his 1st sentence was meant as a joke off of what Shinra posted last night and not truly meant. It contains many of the same elements of what was said last night.

No rolling back will not make you loose your settings.

Yeah that part has nothing to do with me and I guess an option to not download DX would probably prevent that but really I assume if you choose yes it probably just checks the latest version against what you have. If it needs to download something it does if not it just finishes At least that is how running the DX installer from MS works, if you have the newest version it just tells you so and it doesn't install anything. I imagine most of the users just let it run.

No it does not run Windowed

Windows runs the UAC not LB so not letting it update kills the installer which is what you instructed Windows to do by choosing no.

This is a known bug and already been reported hopefully the fix won't take long to roll out. Until then you can either reinstall the last installer from the update folder and turn off the setting in options to download the beta so it doesn't update again or just not mess with those systems until the next beta is out. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Clicking no is the cause of the error as the installer that LB is requiring isn't running to completion. Click yes if you don't want to see the error message. Respectfully this is definitely not a bug.

The site is trustworthy. Emuparadise is another good source for certain stuff and hit and miss for other stuff especially some disc based systems where some of the games aren't dumped correctly and won't work in some emulators.

Okay so I read that post and tried copying that into my ini file but as soon as I load the rom they specified with that settings it just loads it with the Japanese bios and not the one I specified so doesn't seem to work at all for me

I mean with RL maybe it is possible but I don't use RL at all so I don't know. The file in question is the Demul.ini file and in the top part a few lines down it says NaomiBiosAuto = true if you go into the emulator and turn off auto select it will change that to false and write a bios number a few lines down in the ini file. How they would go about using that to inject different values per game I have no clue.

No this is a known and reported issue in the latest beta

You can download a separate copy of Demul for each bios you need and assign the correct games that will run which ever one you need as a work around but that is kind of a pain in the ass

There is no way this was suggested on the Demul forums not that long ago but they haven't done any work on it as far as I know.
