It depends on which images you want, but make sure you have your corresponding images in the right folders. For example, screenshots would be in "launchbox\Images\Atari 2600\Screenshot - Gameplay" and boxart would be in "launchbox\Images\Atari 2600\Box - Front" for Atari 2600. To switch the type of images being shown (on the fly), you'll have to assign a keyboard or controller mapping, just as you did with the view. Again, you'll see this in the options screen, under "Keyboard Mappings" and "Controller" as shown below

You have to change the view within that theme. You can do this in options - keyboard mappings, or options - controller, as shown below and I've used the 'tab' key to accomplish this

Can't really help you find roms or anything of that nature, but the no-intro sets work best with most other emulators besides MAME. Try using Retroarch. It works with several consoles, handhelds, computers, and so on. For example, it has the ability to emulate the Atari 2600, Nintendo NES, Sony PlayStation, and many more. You can find it here: Retroarch

Wow, another very nice looking theme! I'm not sure if it's just me, but it would probably look better without the controllers in the middle, to give it a little more clean/polished look

This topic/thread has reminded me once again why I gave up on HS years ago and inspired me to pay tribute to "The Late Show with David Letterman" Top 10 reasons to use HS in 2019: 10. Still in love with Windows XP 9. Living in a cave (a real one) 8. Haven't figured out how to adjust the monitor screen dimensions beyond 1024x768 7. Haven't checked any emulation-related news since 2007 6. Bought a crappy hard drive with HS built-in from someone named Chris 5. Have a fear of boxes and anything with the ability to launch 4. Never get tired of those bloated-looking graphics and seizure-inducing spinning wheel in glorious full screen 3. Want to get as much as possible out of that lifetime HS membership 2. Still enjoying the benefits of an overclocked AMD Athlon computer 1. Because life is all about being hyper and spinning in a frenzy In all seriousness, I did enjoy HS for a while and it certainly paved the way for bigger and much better things to come, such as LaunchBox/BigBox

@Jason Carr thanks a lot for the info on the latest updates and the recent addition of the pause screens has made Launchbox/Bigbox even better, although it's already been pretty darn good for a long, long while now Really looking forward to the custom default images, as it's been on my personal request list for quite some time. Just wondering (and hoping), will this apply to boxart also?

Interesting. However, it doesn't seem to offer much in terms of emulation, and even if they do, I think they're pretty late to the game and nothing too ground-breaking besides a SNS-like service bundled in with the program to interact with other gamers, etc. Besides, a little competition is never a bad thing ?

Great! YouTube would probably be the best way, and you'd obviously be able to reach a very big audience at the same time

As someone who's been keeping a close eye on this project, sounds like a good idea. But if I'm not able to tune in while it's on live, is it possible to leave comments a little later?

Great work! You're getting one step closer to making RocketLauncher become completely redundant, which is certainly a good thing For what it's worth, RocketLauncher is a very fine addition to LaunchBox but its lack of updates and some other nuances such as the need for modules make it somewhat frustrating. I tried out the new pause feature with retroarch and mame, and so far everything seems pretty good!

No worries! Any theme editor is certainly a welcome addition to BigBox and looking forward to see its release ? -
PASC CE (pre Alpha) BigBox Theme Editor
bundangdon replied to y2guru's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
This is coming along very nicely! Just wondering, will it be able to work with existing themes? For example, I want to change or move some elements with another theme, I can modify them with PASC CE? -
To reiterate what Lordmonkus very well pointed out, you're totally in the wrong place for anything related to raspberry pi. However, Launchbox and BigBox are a whole lot better in my opinion, while using a standard PC/laptoo setup. Having said that, it will take some time and effort to get it set up on your computer, but it's well worth it in the end. There's plenty of helpful people here as well as youtube tutorials and such. Good luck with your new adventures in emulation!

Totally agree. I've messed with the retroarch mame core with non-arcade games on several occassions and honestly, it's a major hassle. For now i'd say it's really not worth all the wasted time since the standalone version of mame is a whole lot easier to get up and running

+1 on this idea?
