Yep, I've recently updated this theme but I'm still testing around with it because there's one little weird behavior that's happening now after the recent changes in 13.3. Although it's not really a deal-breaker, so I'll probably update it sometime in the next few days. Update: Good news. With the official version that was released, I noticed that odd "behavior" has now disappeared! So, I'll definitely release the update very soon

c64 C64 Dreams (massive curated C64 collection)
bundangdon replied to Zombeaver's topic in Emulation
Great work once again @Zombeaver Thanks so much for sharing this! -
I was wondering about this system too, and tried out what was suggested but it didn't work for me either. Afterwards, I did a little bit of research and found a way that works. For the "Command Line Parameters" enter the following: pegasus -rom1 My guess is that Mame has gone through some changes with this system/software and the command lines were changed as a result.

Okay, that cleaned up the errors and it works. But there's a weird issue that popped up after changing the theme. When you try to change to or from another LB theme with this theme (LBPlex 2023), LaunchBox freezes up and only CTRL-ALT-DEL can close everything. Here's the MainView file (attached) MainView.xaml

@faeran thanks a lot for sharing this, but I can't seem to get it working. I've tried pasting the code in a few different areas of the "MainView" xml file but it keeps giving a very similar error: --------------------------- --------------------------- An error occurred while parsing the custom MainView. The default view is shown instead. Details on the error are below: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException: 'coverFlow' is an undeclared prefix. I reeeaaaallly wanted to hate LB, but wow
bundangdon replied to CLE's topic in Collections and Builds
Thanks for pointing that out and I'm quite glad to hear Hyperspin is still alive. While I'm pretty excited that there are plenty of options available including Hyperspin, AttractMode, EmulationStation, etc., I'd recommend to anyone who's new to the frontend-emulation 'scene' should go with LB/BB. It may be not the fastest of them all, but it just works. -

Also a long-time ex-hyperspin user here, and since I discovered Launchbox about 7 years ago or so, I've never considered using hyperspin again. It's a shame because it was once a great piece of software, but the lack of any (real) updates and its lack of features and rather archaic design makes me wonder why anyone still uses Hyperspin, unless they're running a much older system in an arcade cab. There are plenty of great options out there for a decent frontend-emulation experience, but LB/BB is (by far) the best. -

I couldn't find anything either, and there's nothing mentioned in the latest readme file with snes9x. But here's a quick fix to the problem that I used for now. Add the following to "Running Script" in the emulator options: Send {Alt Down}{Enter}{Alt Up}

Is anyone using the latest development builds of Redream?
bundangdon replied to crusadeRGP's topic in Troubleshooting
Working fine here, with no extra command lines or anything of that nature added in except for the "reshaders" plugin to give it some bezels -
Yep! My personal preference is to turn off the video, but you can turn it back on in the settings. (Check the example below). And be sure to have your video with the correct platform name in the videos/platforms folder.

Great! Thanks again for the update

@faeran is there any way you can pm me the beta 3 download? I just recently cleaned up my PC's hard drive and deleted a bunch of stuff and only have the beta 4 in the updates folder. However, if the next (new) beta is being released soon, I can wait. I'm having the same issue as others, where everything in LaunchBox freezes up unless I switch to another platform.
-
Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I'll do a little more research and try to find the games (soon) that are not 1920x1080 and could use bezels.
-
Just wondering, which Teknoparrot games were you able to use the reshader files with successfully? So far, every game I've tried runs 1920x1080 which eliminates the need for a bezel. However, I've only tried a handful of games, so I still need to do some more research on this

FYI: There's a new Atari Jaguar emulator out there

How to move a playlist from Arcade (MAME) to the general list of platforms?
bundangdon replied to azorean's topic in Noobs
There's a couple of ways to do this: 1. Select all of the items in that Neo Geo Playlist (press CTRL+A) 2. Right-click those games with your mouse and select "Open Bulk Edit Wizard" 3. Click "Next" and then choose "Platform" in the field 4. For "Value" you can type SNK Neo Geo AES or SNK Neo Geo MVS, or whatever you named it previously That should move them to the SNK Neo Geo Field, but it will remove them from the Mame/Arcade platform. The other method is to simply copy or move that playlist to the same category (Consoles, Arcade, etc.) by right-clicking the playlist and then click "Edit". -
No problem! Hope you're able to get those layouts/bezels working properly with Retroarch
-
Check your "config" folder. For example, for the nestopia core (NES), it would be located here: ...\retroarch\config\Nestopia And if you want to start all over with that core, delete the Nestopia.cfg file However, you should be able to keep that file and when you save an override, it automatically over-writes that same file. If you're still running into problems, here's a pretty decent youtube tutorial on how to set up bezels/overlays within Retroarch
