  1. The actual roms on a NAS should be fine, lots of people do that. As for the actual program being on the NAS as well i cant speak to that but i can see it being slower as Launchbox is retrieving a lot of data and images all the time. I have never heard of anyone saying that it takes 20-30 minutes to load though, that seems very very excessive, even if running over the network.
  2. As to the cores all being the same, not in any way shape or form, you need to know what romset you have and use the matching core for it, otherwise you will likely find games that should work dont.
  3. I see your issue, you have 3 L's in dll. You must be using a real old version of Launchbox there, typing in the cores hasnt been needed for a long time, they are just dropdowns now.
  4. Are you calling the correct core in Launchbox, i see its set to the 2016 core.
  5. Retroarch wont do it, i was just checking you didnt have Launchbox extracting zips that shouldnt be.
  6. Do you have retroarch set to unzip roms? Because if so thats the issue, MAME needs a zip file.
  7. Do you have the correct core selected in the associated platform tab for retroarch? There are two Beetle/Mednafen cores, a standard and a HW. Could it be you are using HW core directly in Retroarch and the standard in Launchbox, the standard one is the default in Launchbox.
  8. Or the games details turned off completely and not set to a separate button.
  9. If your roms are not in the Launchbox folder, which i'm guessing they are not you need to tell Launchbox were they are. Tools/Manage Platforms/Name of the Platform/Folders tab, under the game section browse to the location of your roms.
  10. As i said they are named Nintendo Game & Watch in the theme, you will need to rename the images in the theme folder, like this.
  11. There is one but it is called Nintendo Game & Watch, so just rename those images.
  12. This is just something you will have to put up with with beta software. The official releases are run through online antivirus databases to ensure, as much as we can that antivirus's will not detect the program as a virus (because of course it isnt) but some crappy antivirus are just way over sensitive anyway. With beta releases this step is not taken as there could be betas every day, sometimes more than once a day and once a beta is cleared a new one will release and we would have to do that all over again, and of course not a huge number of people use the betas, so to antivirus software its a new program that it hasnt seen before and has no pool of users yet to say that it is perfectly safe to use.
  13. If you are unable to press a button to skip the video then Bigbox is still loading.
  14. Its probably looking to the location you originally installed Launchbox and can no longer find it. Manually run the installer from your Launchbox/Updates folder and install over the top of your current install.
  15. You know we dont run the emumovies site right, if it goes down its nothing to do with us? But circo was gracious enough to post the thread above earlier to let people like you know it was going down.
  16. Yeah i am getting some errors even with the fonts now installed.
  17. Yes that theme is one that has been updated, and also renamed, so downloading the latest version should fix the errors you are seeing.
  18. That sounds like a theme issue, not strictly a Bigbox one, as it is returning to the default theme as there is a error in the custom one you are using. What theme are you using, and have you tried downloading it again? The theming engine was changed recently and a lot of themes were updated to support the changes, so i would suggest deleting the theme and installing the latest version.
  19. I have never used that emulator so i cant help there im afraid, but have you considered using Retroarch? It has mednafen cores in it if thats what you want to use, as well as a ton of other systems that is supports. One of the benefits of using Retroarch is you only need to configure your controller once, and it works across all the systems you use retroarch for.
  20. Hi @nosh, thanks for the new theme. The install instructions say to install the fonts from fonts.zip, but there isnt a fonts.zip that i can find, so i am getting errors when running the theme. Edit: i re-downloaded just in case and there is still no fonts.zip and i do actually get 7zip errors on extraction.
  21. In your screenshot you do not have mednafen as the emulator, you have mednaffe, notice the difference? Mednaffe is not a emulator, mednafen is, so you either need to point launchbox at the mednafen.exe if you have it, or you need to actually download mednafen still.
