No probs, you should also get the same options for images and videos when you actually import your systems, if you go to tools/import the wizard will guide you through importing your games, setting your emulator and downloading images/videos.

Hi and welcome to the community. To download images and videos you need to go to tools/update metadata and images. The easiest way is to select your platform on the left, then left click on any game, then press ctrl a to highlight all the games in that platform. Then you can just got to the tools/metadata image and update what you want as there will be a list and you just check/uncheck what you do or don't want.

You will have to change the platforms individually unfortunately, but that is how I have mine setup. I have Launchbox and all the images on my ssd, but all the videos on another hdd, works just fine just needs a bit of editing.

Yeah, the only one I have is Sega Rally Championship 2. That didn't use to work but now works just fine.

Hmm, then I am a tad confused to be honest. FYI changing from VLC to WMP or vice versa has no effect on the startup video's as hits hardcoded into the program, that's just for video's once in the program. I'm going to tag @Jason Carr here as I am honestly at a bit of a loss on this one, it's the first time I have ever heard of this issue so i'm not really sure how to troubleshoot it, as I say I have no issues and have been using the feature since it was in beta and I haven't had a single crash like that. Do you get a error when it crashes at all, or do you just get returned to the desktop?

Hi and welcome to the community. Hmm strange. The issue with you not being able to skip the 8 second video is probably just due to Bigbox not having loaded yet, and the reason you can skip on the longer videos is that Bigbox has had time to load at that point. As for the crashing I have never experienced that on my system. I have 4 videos in the startup folder and there lengths are, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, 20 seconds and another 20 seconds, I have never seen Bigbox crash when any the video's finished. Does Bigbox launch OK if you remove the startup folder?

If this is Retroarch you should be able to back out of that menu once you have selected what you want then scroll down to save core override and select that. That will then load the override whenever you start the core.

No probs.

You have always been able to disable the game details screen, it is in options/general/skip game details screen just check the box. As for the other question if you just have the one platform then yes you can, go to options/views/default startup view and switch it to "all games". Hope that helps you.

Also you do not have 36000 different games, some games have a lot of different versions for example version number and region. So you may have 10-15 versions of the same game in some cases. In those cases Launchbox will combine those games into one entry, if you right click some of the games you will probably see multiple versions of the same game. Also MAME uses a parent child structure so a lot of games rely on another zip as well to actually work, which will bring down the game count also. Also as @Retro808 mentioned if you used those defaults in his image a lot of stuff wont of been imported, like games that don't work, fruit machines, arcade games with no screen so can't be emulated etc. I have a full MAME romset which I imported and I only have 3717 Arcade games in Launchbox.

I agree with that sentiment, id much rather the cut scenes were dodgy rather than actual gameplay.

Go for it, you would have a viewer here, I love that comparison of features type shit that they do, so to see it in a emulation capacity would be great.

I'll be honest and say I completely forgot about the getaway games, "Guy Ritchies GTA" played a bit of the first one, might have to check those out again.

Nothing weird there, just a small man in a skirt and a hat waving a huge sword. Just the usual, move along.

No, no roms no emulators, very easy to setup if you have your own though.

lol, was a legitimate issue going on here.

So basically I was wrong, same point here as @Zombeaver, I was working under the rules as I understood them. It seems the tides have turned, ship away!!!
