  1. Yeah to be fair dolphin is probably the best supported and compatible emulator out there, I would just stick with what is known to work. Dolphin core has barely started.
  2. Correct you would need it as a second retroarch emulator, or else launchbox will look in your current install for the new core.
  3. Well I would suggest keeping a separate install just in case, retroarch is portable so you can have many different versions of it running on one pc. To slow!!
  4. Good to know, I had been on the nightly for so long I couldn't remember.
  5. I think it works in 1.3.6 as well, not positive as I was always on nightlies, but I think it works.
  6. No intro is a romset off 100% known working roms, it contains all snes games released which are all guaranteed proper dumps. Of course I cant link you here but google is your friend. The complete snes collection is less than 1gb.
  7. Yeah as per what @lordmonkus said I'm using no-intro and all my roms are .sfc I have just checked with pilotwings and super star wars with snes9x through retroarch (windows admittedly) and both worked fine. I also checked its file compatibility and .smc is also supported by that core, so not sure what to suggest. did you transfer them over your network? any chance they got corrupted during the transfer?
  8. Apologies, didn't mean to come across as sounding rude or anything. Just thought it was a weird query for the launchbox forums. I do have a little experience with retropie and have run some of the games you mention without issue, are any of them zipped?
  9. Do you realize this is the launchbox forum? Launch box doesn't run on the pi. You will be better off asking on the retropie forums.
  10. Yes the download metadata and media button in tools is what you want, just uncheck the media you don't want to download, so uncheck everything except for manuals and videos.
  11. This is sort of available although its not automatic, you just go to tools/scan for added roms and launchbox will detect and download media for any new roms it finds. I'm not sure if it should be automatic though, most people just want to get at there games and not have to wait while launchbox updates and downloads media on a boot.
  12. More info here. https://github.com/GLupeN64/GLupeN64
  13. Better compatibility and performance especially on better hardware. I'm running it at 1440p on a 1080p display so its downsampling and looks great. It also has support for hi-res texture packs built in.
  14. Yep, what @DOS76 said. I don't have emumovies premium so wasn't sure If they were available while scraping or not.
  15. Actually I have that problem with mame also. Hard to tell what version I'm picking unless you know exactly what versions you have beforehand. Oooohh, just leveled up!!
  16. To set controls per core you will need to load the core with a game, then go to the quick menu with the guide button or f1 on the keyboard. Then scroll down to controls and set your controls how you like them, then scroll up to save core remap file. This will save controls for that core only and auto load when you start that core in future. Hope that helps, here are some screenshots.
  17. They are all available on emumovies if you have a premium emumovies account you can add your details in launchbox and it will download them when you import. If you have already imported you need to highlight all your arcade games with ctrl a then go to tools/download metadata and images wizard. If you don't have emumovies premium can get them direct from the emumovies site but are restricted to 1.5gb of downloads per day. If you download from the site you will have to unzip to launchbox/videos/name of platform.
  18. You need background music in the background folder.
  19. Well a couple of questions there. Yes you can have background music, but not by platform no.
