  1. That theme folder in the core is just a symlink/junction link to your actual theme folder. I am not sure specifically if LB builds the symlink in all cases or in some. The links were added when 11.4 came out and there were some other theme related issues. When you click that theme folder in your Core folder it should contain everything you would see if you went straight to the \Launchbox\Theme folder. Did you download the theme from within the BigBox theme installer options? 11.5 just came out. Download it and see if it still is happening.
  2. When he mentioned minimized I was wondering if that is what he meant. Thanks Neil. I have not seen anyone mention that before. I have a few cabinets with marquees (all on either 11.4 or one of the current betas) and they show image correctly. What version LB/BB are you using? Windows recognizes your monitors with the same number allocation? Just asking as I remember someone having a marquee issue and Windows showed monitor 2 as #2, but if he set BB marquee to #2 it did not work. He had to flip them in BigBox. That was quite a while back though. I think that is why I asked about if you flip the numbers in BB what happens.
  3. Do you have media that would show on the marquee? Platform marquees would show images located in the \Images\Platforms\{Platform Name}\Banners folder (imae must bee named exactly as the platform is). Game marquees would show images from the \Images\{Platform Name}\Arcade - Marquee folder (image named as the game is in LB or the rom name). In absence of an image there BB would then default to your Box - Front image priorities. What happens in BigBox if you change the main screen and marquee screen numbers?
  4. What version LB/BB are you using? Themes were having issues in one of the latest releases, but I thought it was fixed.
  5. Sorry but I can barely make anything out in those pics. Need some better resolution pics.
  6. Since they work directly in the emulator and not in LB sharing some pics would be helpful. Choose one particular platform and post the following: >Tools>Manage emulators edit that platforms emulator 1: Pic of the Details tab 2: Pic of the Associated Platforms tab Right click one of the games for the platform and edit. 1. Pic of the Metadata page 2> Pic of the Launcher page. 3. Pic of the Emulation page.
  7. OK, so I do not emulate 3DO and just set it up. Downloaded 4DO, dropped the bios in the folder and selected. Tested Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge and it worked. Added 4DO to my emulators in LB and LB already populated the default command lines. Added 3DO Interactive Multiplayer to the Associate Platforms list. Then imported the .cue file and tested the game. No issues running the game. So seem pretty straight forward to get this working. What file did you import into LB? Here are some images.
  8. I do not emulate 3DO so I cannot say what to sue. I recommend trying whatever emulator you can. Set it up, set your controls, test some games. If you get the emulator set up and games work inside it, LB is next. LB does not care what emulator you use. So getting the emulator and games working first takes care of the biggest hassle.
  9. @Jason Carr Chrome Metal and LV-101 are two I tested.
  10. @Ingabagovinanana Setting aside all the imports, deletions, reimports and now games in a second All platform let's start from what should always be step 1 when you plan to add games/platforms to Launchbox. Do your 3DO games work directly in the emulator you want to use? This should always be the first thing you do. Set the emulator up by itself and test the games. Some might disagree with that logic saying LB is user friendly enough to not need to do that. In over 3 years of using LB and doing it this way it has never failed me and has made it easy to know I messed up a LB setting. I know many tutorials start by importing the games to LB, adding the emulator, then finishing the set-up. If users would set up the emulator and test the games directly in the emulator first it would mitigate some of the "my games do not work" issues. At best, for troubleshooting it would eliminate it being an emulator/rom issue. Also, I would always recommend trying to fix directly in the LB UI first before messing in the xml.
  11. If you have any antivirus running check to see if it is blocking BigBox.dll or BigBox.exe. Also just an FYI it is never recommended to run LB or BB as admin. I know you just did it to test why it was not working, but wanted to just give you a heads up.
  12. @Jason Carr Confirm seeing same as well. Tried a couple I designed and some from others. Theme's work just missing images that are pulled from the theme. They do display video, clear logos and game images. So seems like it is affecting images pulled from the theme folders.
  13. Have either of you tried to run a fresh install of LB/BB in a different folder? If not please try and let us know what happens. I would also turn on logs in your existing LB build. In >Tools>Options there is a log option. Also are you using any antivirus? If so check to see if it added BigBox.exe to the blocked list. Just a couple things to try.
  14. Demul should not be an issue getting working as long as you are using Mame files and you do not use the same LB emulator set-up if you are using Demul for Dreamcast emulation. Arcade set-up requires different check boxes in the LB details screen than are needed for console. You also need to make sure for arcade you have the correct command lines for each arcade board (ex: -run=awave -rom= is needed for Atomiswave). Not saying someone may not run into issues. Just advising it does work and many LB users have it set up.
  15. Agreed and again he is not selling the plans. So he copied plans and giving them away free. I find it interesting is the company he copied the cabinet design from is selling arcade cabinets loaded with roms they have no legal right to sell / distribute. So which is a worse offense.
  16. Two ways. 1. Edit the xenia-canary.config.toml (located in /Documents/Xenia folder) and change Fullscreen = False to Fullscreen = True. 2. Use an AHK in LB edit emulators and place in the Running AHK Tab) Sleep, 2000 SetKeyDelay, -1, 110 Send {F11} Return
  17. Yes. It due to the change in LB to using .Net Core 3.1.
  18. No its not amazing. Its common for this forum. Small community, smaller amount of regular/frequent posters. Maybe those 13 viewers did not have anything to say. Also you posted in the BigBox Custom themes sub-forum instead of the Troubleshooting forum. Maybe those that viewed the thread thought it was Custom Theme related. Choppy how? Transitions, audio, video? All of the above? What theme are you using and have you tried different themes? Has BigBox fully cached the images? Moved your thread to a more appropriate sub-forum.
  19. @SteveT79 I removed the link in your post. Posting links to sites selling roms is not allowed. Much like posting to rom hosting sites is not. Thanks. System wise for arcades there are lots of arcade boards emulated. A bunch you have covered by Mame. Some not listed in this thread that are supported by other emulators include: Demul: Sammy Atomiswave, Sega (Naomi boards and Hikaru), Cave (Mame has Cave as well), Gaelco Dolphin: Sega Triforce Tekno Parrot: Sega (Lindbergh, RingeEdge, RingWide, Sega PC Based, Sega Nu, Euorpa-R), Taito Type X, Examu Ex-Board, Konami PC Based, Namco ES, Raw Thrills
  20. It is possible but currently only way to do it is code it into the marquee view xml. Even then you have to be creative with the coding as BB by default, when no marquee image is present, will revert to your Box image priorities. Hopefully whenever the next poll comes out updated marquee support will get enough votes. Even if we just got Image priorities for marquees that would be a nice addition to BB.
  21. Never used the canary build. Just added it and all I did was change my Xenia set-up in LB to the canary folder's .exe and it ran fine. Did not change any other settings. Tested on latest beta and latest stable.
  22. The Guardians issues is likely due to the fact LB can associate a file with a game by either the Launchbox name or the rom name. Since Guardians of the Hood mame rom is named guardian.zip that is likely causing it to also associate it with the game Guardian.
  23. That's why it does not show up in controller listing. Its in keyboard mode. In BigBox you need to go into the keyboard mapping section to map your buttons. LB does not have keyboard map options. You can change it to Xinput mode and then both LB and BB will see it as a game controller.
  24. When you donwloaded them would not matter. Can you test something. For SNES change the core option to something else. Does not matter what, does not even have to be a SNES core. Then click ok and close out the manage emulator screen. Go back into Manage Emulators and select the correct core for SNES and see if it finds the core.
  25. I remember someone having a similar issue. Cores where in the RA folder, but LB did not see them. I have to see if I can find that thread. I do not remember what the issue ended up being. Any chance you have more than one Retroarch folder and are maybe pointing to one that does not have the cores downloaded?
