Well if it is registering as a "key" then you need to go into keyboard mapping section not controller mapping. Then map that key to the option for "Close Active Window".
-
i combined your threads. Please do not start new threads for the same questions. Try opening Flycast on the screen you want it to play on then closing. In some situations if an emulator does not have an option to set the screen it will remember the last screen it started on.

Video should be named as the game is named in LB and placed in the folder below. \Launchbox\Videos\[Platform Name]\Theme\
-
You set that option in Launchbox. The image and video priorities there also affect BB.
-
Your pics show you are pointing LB to a folder with 3 roms in it and you are trying to use LB's "Full Mame Rom Set" importer. The error clearly explains what is wrong. 3 roms does not equal a full Mame rom set. That is why the error states "The specified path does not contain a FULL MAME ROM set". If you are importing only a few roms you need to use either the "file" import option which allows you to open the rom folder and select all the files to import at the same time or open a Windows folder, select all roms, and drag & drop the rom files into LB.
-
It should use whatever you have mapped in your LB/BB mappings for the "Select" option.

As C-Beats said email support. In the meantime look in your \Launchbox folder. If you see a file called License.xaml remove it as that is causing the issue. That file did not come from our download.
-
This error is because the license file in your \Launchbox folder is known to be shared/pirated or the license has been altered. You can remove the License.xaml and return to using a free version without issue. You will need to purchase a legitimate license directly form our site to use premium features. If you feek this is an error please contact support@unbrokensoftware.com and explained the situation.

Usually something like this happens when there is conflicting xaml files in the \Data\Platform folder. Look in your \Data\Platforms folder are there any platform xaml files in there that may be named Nintendo Entertainment System_Backup.xaml or Nintendo Entertainment System_Copy.xaml?
-
@FamShoppa Ah, so something is in the last screen, but the titles were missing. Different than I think what Neil and myself were understanding. Seems like I saw something like this in another post quite a bit back. What version LB are you on?
-
As @neil9000 already mentioned if you get to the end of the import and nothing is there LB already has the file. To confirm this next time, if you use the back button in the import wizard and click back until you see the option to "Force Import Duplicate" and click that when you then proceed through the importer again you will see the item show up. No error message for the devs to add as the import did not fail. There was just nothing to import.

LB is file agnostic. It does not care or know what is a game file or not. It just imports files. If you are using the “Scan Folder” method you need to ensure only the game file is there. If you have multiple files in a folder you need to either drag and drop the game file to start the import or use the rom file import option and manually select it. For your image question the answer is no. You can set a folder path for images, but they cannot be set for each game only for the platform as a whole. You can do this by right clicking the platform name in LB and editing. You will see a folders page where you can set the media folder.

Not that theme. It was not made using the Community Theme Creator tool. You can only make edits to themes that were made using that tool. Even then you can only make edits if the creator posted the original themes files for the tool.

Ah so I misunderstood. Yes, we would love it to be smoother, but from the get go Jason advised some transitions may not be seamless due to how some emulators run exclusive fullscreen and Jason did not want to do hack work to take emulators to windowed fullscreen as it could and in some cases does affect game performance. I believe in this thread Jason talked about this.

Something must be going on with how you have things set up. Most emulators can readily close from LB/BB Pause Menu. There are some sticky ones and they require an AHK in the "Exit AHK" tab of the emulator settings in LB. If you are saying all your emulators have this issue something is not right. Can you give an example of an emulator you are having issues with? Also confirm if you are running the emulator or LB/BB as Admin or not. Share some pics to help us troubleshoot. >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit that emulator. Share these pics: 1.Details Tab 2. Pause Screen Tab 3. Running Script Tab 4. Exit Script Tab.

Well that's the nature of development. Thankfully we have a dev team that constantly works on improvements.

The version of Mame tou are using and your import settings can also affect how LB imports the Mame roms. It will abide by your region setting which can affect which rom is primary as well as your preference over 4-player/2-player rom types. LB can determine parent since it reads the Mame.xaml from the version of Mame you told it you were using. It cannot determine optimal rom since that is too subjective and likely something it will not be coded to do. I take it that is one of the major issues using the Mame artwork, if your imported primary rom name does not match the artwork file name there will be a lot of leg work to fix. I doubt much will be done in the short term to make using mame official artwork any more seamless since LB has its own image infrastructure. The Gryzor issue I am not sure on. Just checked and my import has Contra imported separately from Gryzor.
-
I assume like you mentioned in your first post the issue to be the file name mistmatch. Example if you take berzerk and change the image file name from berzerka to berzerk does it show the marquee? I do know LB can use images named after the rom so I believe that means the image name must match the rom name.
-
Can you give an example (such as the exact game name and rom name you are launching or displaying and the images file name in the folder). I do not really mess with Mame artwork, but LB bindings are designed to pull images named after the rom file or named exactly as the name is in LB.
-
@skizzosjt and @mcfilmmakers I deleted the last 3 posts to clean up this thread and to also nip things were they stand before it slides downhill. Nothing else needs to be said or commented on. Skizzosjt I left your original issue post so the team can keep aware. I will add this is something I recently saw this week. Same as you I have tried may things to recreate it and no luck. Seems rather random, but it has happened about 8 times the last few days.

Displaying marquees where? Inside the LB/BB UI or in game? LB/BB will pull the marquee images from the LB image folders, not from Mame folders. So by default it would look in \Launchbox\Images\Arcade\Arcade - Marquee\

Glad you are sorted.

Pro Tip: Getting Custom Playlist Art to appear in Big Box
Retro808 replied to topher_csr's topic in Noobs
You did not really need to delete them you just need to refresh the image cache. In BB settings there is an option to refresh the image cache. Whenever you add new images and they are not showing you can use that option and it then updates that cache BB stores in that folder. -
The Exit Script page only affects when exiting from the pause menu. Running tab is where would typically paste any AHK for use when actively playing the game. Yuzu does not need any script in LB. Yuzu actually uses Ctrl+Q to close the emulator and that is one of the command LB will send when it send the Close Active Window call. Just tested and works fine for me. I do also have my buttons mapped directly in Yuzu to exit as well. So try mapping those 2 same buttons in the emulators settings.
-
If you edit Yuzu in LB >Tools >Manage >Emulators (and edit Yuzu) is anything showing in the Running AHK Tab?
