  1. Ahhh. People with nothing better to do than waste other people’s time.
  2. What exactly is going on so we can try to help. It works, we just need to know more information from you to be able to assist.
  3. Does the game run directly in Retroarch without using Launchbox? If no, then that's your main issue. You need to make sure the game runs there first. Make sure you have downloaded to core that runs the game/system. If yes, make sure in LB that you set the Associated Platform and have the correct core selected. Go to >Tools >Options and then Manage Emulators. Click the Associated Platforms tab and make sure the platform name you imported the game into is there and the core you are using is selected.
  4. Correct, technically you do not since the text value is not bound to ActiveGame.Platform it is bound directly to a path. Simply renaming the xaml to match the correct platform name would suffice. However, I have seen custom themes in BB have some hiccups so the recommendation to change was to unify the media & platform naming.
  5. @soqueroeu If you are using non-standard names for your platforms you should be able to change file and media names for it to work. 1. Copy the existing NES xaml and rename it Nintendo NES (Nintendo NES.xaml). 2. in the \Resources folders go into \SystemLog and \Loading folders and either rename the NES images to Nintendo NES or copy them and name the new ones Nintendo NES (Nintendo NES.png). 3. Edit the new Nintendo NES.xaml and change the image file names in lines 32 and 33 to be Nintendo NES.png. Unfortunately since you are not using standard name you may have to do this with all platforms like that. It is hard for theme creators to accommodate the multitude of ways users might name platforms.
  6. You already asked this question and I responded. I have merged the two threads.
  7. @soqueroeu @Hazuki The loading bar code from the default theme typically will only work if, for the emulator of choice, you have the option to "extract rom" on launch of a game. At least that is how Jason explained the option. I just tested this theme with a unzipped NES rom and a zipped rom through Retroarch. Without the "extract rom" option ticked the load bar does not show.
  8. Good. We have been recommending if using EMuMovies and downloading media for large amount of games do it in chunks and do it after you have imported the games. So import roms then go back and select a portion of them and download media in chunks from Emu. It is a slow work around, but not much we can do since it appears to be an API issue.
  9. Test with just the GamesDB and uncheck the box that mentions Rough Matching and let us know if any changes download speed. We know there is an issue with the current EmuMovies API that is causing some timeout issues. Team has been trying to find some good work around things until Emu can update the API.
  10. Are you downloading images only from The GamesDB or from EmuMovies as well? Also, be sure to uncheck the option for "Rough Matches" as that slows down the download tremendously depending on the volume of media.
  11. Unless you are actually using music files in your set-up, no. The platform videos you would download from within LB are videos with music in them.
  12. There are quite a few posts on this. The issue is with Epic's API and the team has resolved this in the latest beta. So you can either opt in for this beta (in LB >Tools>Options look in the Updates section) or wait for the next stable release which might be a few weeks out.
  13. Issue resolved on Discord. Reformatting USB drive to NTFS corrected the issue.
  14. Step to do this is on their site. https://www.pinballfx.com/?page_id=7754
  15. There is not a pdf for this.
  16. Excited to see these. Now time to fix some Marquee views and finish up other ones. Main thing I wanted was the image group.
  17. Well, if you set Mame up to work with 2 monitors that is the reason the LB/BB marquee will not show. Mame is taking over the second monitor during game play. It will only work if you have Mame settings linked to only 1 monitor.
  18. We do appreciate the requests, but it is a feature request and not actually related to the beta updates that were released. We have been having way too many unnecessary posts so beta threads should be used for providing feedback relative to the actual updates in the specific betas (is a new feature working, did something break, etc...). We are trying to ensure the devs do not have to weed through anything not actually related to what they released so they can quickly see the feedback. Also tracking feature requests in posts is not easy so the bitbucket is the best avenue.
  19. Please keep feature requests out of beta threads. All feature requests should be done using the “Feature Request” button located at the top of the forum under “Help & Support”.
  20. It currently cannot. You have to set its location in the "Parents" folder when LB opens up the Edit Playlist window.
  21. Retroarch docs lets you know what core runs what. Under the "Core Library: Emulation" section if you click on each name it tells you which cores run them.
  22. What controller and what button are you trying to use? I assume you are using a controller. A bit confusing as you go on to ask about "press exit key". Can you bind that button to any other option to see if BB accepts it?
  23. You can create any image media you want for systems. Just need to make sure you name them correctly and file in the correct folders. I would spend a few minutes looking in the \Images folders and you will see how LB likes things named and filed. What do you mean by "custom collections for roms"? Do you mean Playlists?
  24. The file i posted is only for LBPlex. The Rincewind theme would need its file updated.
  25. You do not have to map for every game, but you will have to map for each emulator you choose to add to LB to run games. LB does have mapping settings, but it is for use within the LB/BB UI and not for use when playing games. You will need to map game control in each emulator. Retroarch for example has a universal mapping for all cores as well as the ability to map specific controls for certain systems if you prefer.
