I made the Refried Platform videos specifically to fit into this theme,and they can be found in the download section,or follow the link at the bottom of the Refried theme description. These videos match the look of the Game Selection artwork,and if I understand your request correctly,should give you the tidy look you are going for.

That's exactly what I'm looking for! I noticed some of the other addons but missed the platform videos. Thanks again!

 Myself and Squid Thief are working on his build, getting a very small error/info text in the top left corner.

The error is not showing on platforms without the marquee artwork, only when the marquee kicks in.

pack://siteoforigin_/Them ...................... this part is then being blocked by an overlay but making all images for this platform transparent still has not revealed it.

Checking the xaml files, this is the fallback option for the artwork.

I work in host support, but I'm no dev, what I can find is that the fallback value is when the binding is unable to return a value.

Marquees are displaying as expected so I'm assuming this is info that the fallback is being used to display the art rather than the intended binding,

Any suggestions what we've done wrong adding these packs?

It's pretty straight forward to add so not sure, can't see anyone else with this very minor issues but would be great if I could correct this.

(edit) This is a barely noticeable text against black background so not sure if anyone else has it or has even noticed.  Maybe just us.  Also just tested on a fresh install with only 1 platform, refried theme, + the addon and still occurs.

I love the theme! I’m just now moving my stuff from my hyperspin setup to Launchbox which was a great move.

I do have a question though, what media options do you absolutely need selected when importing roms for this theme?  

I have everything selected but takes so long and was wondering if I don’t need everything it’ll speed up the process.

You would want, clear logos, box front, box 3D, cart front, cart 3D as a minimum.

For platform videos there is a link above, as for gameplay snaps id get the standard videos, not the "Theme" ones, but yes you will want videos otherwise you will have a empty window where it should be.

Hey RetroHumanoid, I made some more changes to your theme if you don't mind. ? "Mark as completed" button now works. ? It will show you a Completed icon right next to the Favorites icon. I also included custom gold icons for both Mark as completed and Favorites. See the red circle in the picture below.

 If anyone is interested in this mod, you will need to edit the xml files "TextGamesView.xaml" and "Wheel2GamesView.xaml" located in "Unified Refried/views" folder with the code below. Note: "Wheel2GamesView.xaml" is my preferred view of choice, but you can edit the file for your preferred view. Open both XML files listed above in Notepad (Use Notepad++ if you have it) and search for "<!-- FAVORITE ICONS -->" without the quotation marks. Highlight the section for <!-- FAVORITE ICONS --> and replace with the code below and save. You can use the icons I have attached below or just make your own. Just make sure the .PNG file is named as written in the code below and place them in "Images/Theme/Favorite Icons" folder.

This is great stuff RetroHumanoid!!  Just a quick question what program are you using to make these I want to add some of my own platform/playlist videos that you don't have unfortunately. 

Love this theme! One issue I’m having is when I’m in the game list for the arcade is it isn’t loading the actual marquee image for the games, it’s loading like advertisements or the clear logos it seems. What do I need to change so it will use the actual marquee images when available? Other question is where can you get the video marquees, the ones that have them are awesome and would like to get more.

@MoleburtYou need to change that in LB using the image priorities if using the Queso addon.   Go to Tools, Options, Legacy, Images and then to Cart-Back Priorities and uncheck all but the Marquees for images to use.  It is noted in the instructions above (under Queso addon info).

I recorded this demo. Looks like the backgrounds and plugins for the Arcade platforms is not working correctly. You can see it at the 20:40 mark in the below video. Is that the case for anyone else?

hi guys , my discss arent spinning even  i choose view 2 or 3 ... any help?

I have a question, when using the default Unified Refried theme, all works fine for games that have a 3D Boxart, but if it doesn't have the 3D boxart, it doesn't fall back to the 2D box art and only displays the disc\cart..

Is this the way it is suppose to do. I know in the Unified theme, it falls back to the 2D boxart if there isn't 3D boxart.

 

UPDATE:

I figured it out, had to add "OrNormalImagePath" to the "Wheel3GamesView.xml" file (the view I was using)

Included a txt file if anyone wants it. Just copy-n-paste over the existing "<!-- 3D BOX -->" section.

Anyone else having issues with Arcade views? I can't get the view with wheel art and the correct background working. If there is logo wheel art then there is no background.

would legitimately pay for the addition of the sega cd 32x platform, it appears to be the only one missing.   would legitimately pay even more for the assets in 4k.   1080p streamed to a 4k tv is looking a bit brutal.

it is not unfortunately.  it is the correct platform -but its for the original unified theme so aesthetically different.  plus thats one of several types of assets needed to have the platform functional within the theme.

i appreciate you making the effort though

Sent me png icon character, device, logo,  and video.  I can put it together if no one else does.
