  1. All I know, is they announced some changes, and after those changes I started seeing more and more issues related to MAME.
  2. doa2m should be a different game all together. doa2m should be a clone technically as it's a different version? So, maybe there is just an error I came across, but .182 split seems to be giving lots of users errors. doa2 works just fine in Naomi, which is how I came across the issue.
  3. Oh, if it was all on the same drive and you moved LaunchBox, then it's still using relative paths. Same difference, you'll need to edit the paths
  4. As long as LaunchBox, the games and the roms are on the same drive, it will use relative paths and so you can move all of them to a new drive if you need to. If you move one thing, you have to move them all though. Notepad++ will fix the problem fast if you're comfortable editing the XML's. You'll be using Ctrl + F, then the find and replace function to find the old path and replace it with the new path. If you didn't move your emulators, then you're good, but you can edit those easily if you did in LB.
  5. This is possible currently in LB. In LaunchBox, on the left, go to the top of the list and click on the drop down box, and then favorite. In Big Box though, it's not exactly "View Favorites", though that should be there in the options so you can create a request for that at our BitBucket. You could go back in to the menu and view all games, and your favorites will be at the front of the list. Depending on the view or theme you're using too, you can press (usually) up or down to bring up the letter selector, and you can always select the star to go back to the start of your favorites.
  6. Yea, that should be totally fine. Go in to the updates folder inside of your LB folder, sort them by date, and pick the newest exe and install it on top of your old LB install. It should work just fine after that. If that exe doesn't work, try the next one down, and then LB update over the internet again.
  7. If you load up the ini in Notepad++, I would use the Ctrl + F function to find try and find mention of "monitor", "screen" or "display" in the ini. That would be my guess, but I have no clue if it even exists.
  8. Downloading game by game is also not a good thing either. A lot of games do require parent roms or child roms to get exact version or game you want running. When you download game by game and have no clue what a game requires, you can easily miss something and the games wont be playable. Glad you grabbed a .182 set and all is well now.
  9. Check the downloads sections of the forums. Users post custom assets all the time.
  10. Well, I made a theory post, because I saw a lot of people reporting performance issues and 90% of them had a K series CPU. So I was wondering if the K series did something that wasn't playing nice, but it was purely a theory.
  11. No-Intro, or any set for that matter, is perfect. We wont to go based on what the actual name on the box, or the name the developer gave the game. Alternate names on the Database also exists, but is not currently used in LaunchBox. So for example, I changed, and am in the process of changing out the special e in Pokemon for a regular one, and adding an alternate name with the special e. This is a perfect example because this screws people up all the time. So in the end, multiple names and even some variants will be covered, but it's all user contributed. Audits was originally based on No-Intro as a starting point, and No-Intro is the set we suggest the most because it doesn't offer a ton of crap, but we haven't based anything off of No-Intro lock stock and barrel. That's actually the beauty of LaunchBox, you can import and use what ever you want, we're not going to restrict you because we think you need to have it named something specifically. Obviously then scraping may have issues, but baby steps. I am curious what system you imported that was mostly empty? If it was a more popular system, a majority of games is actually found, but something more obscure is a crap shoot.
  12. Several games missing dependencies. The one example I give was doa2a being 3mb in the new split, when it was 108mb in the old split set. I've also seen tons of other reports of users with broken files, and they seem to be using .182 split. I mean "broken", it was most likely an error, but I don't know what to think about it.
  13. Yes and no? It's hard to really answer. @Jason Carr would need to clarify as he would know the best obviously, but I don't recall it providing a huge performance boost. How many extra mame games do you have? Did you uncheck a ton of boxes during the MAME Rom Importer?
  14. Yea, that check box is for when a user prefers EmuMovies over the LBGDB. So, "Prioritize media from EmuMovies", should work.
  15. You can adjust the transparency in the background in the options. Otherwise, the rest of those settings would be to disable certain image types, but your best chance will be changing views to find the view you like the best, or changing themes that has a view that's closest to what you'd want. Things like the description etc would need to be edited on a per theme basis. There are some customization options in the options menu, but a majority of it is left up to the theme creators.
  16. Jason doesn't make the tutorials, I do. And my issues with PC-FX are more than likely bad BIOS files. It's hard to find the right BIOS for some systems, especially for the more obscure stuff.
  17. I assume the VLC player is just choosing the primary display you have set in the Windows settings. I wouldn't be surprised if you could edit that in the settings ini for VLC, but past that I would think @Jason Carr needs to make a settings option for which display you want things to go on (Big Box, VLC, etc).
  18. That's the version of the emulator your downloaded, I am talking about the rom set.
  19. Did you make sure the associated platform page is correct? The platform name in the associated platforms page needs to match the name you called the system, and the default command line parameter needs to match the core you want to use.
  20. Actually, right now, I see the new styled PS4 controller on sale: https://www.amazon.com/DualShock-Wireless-Controller-PlayStation-Black-CUH-ZCT2/dp/B01LWVX2RG/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1486321724&sr=1-3&keywords=ps4%2Bcontroller&th=1 At $47 a piece, you're looking at just under $200 if you must buy 4 now. The d-pad's I think are just fine myself, especially after PS3 and 360 quirks, the PS4 controller is probably my favorite stock controller ever. You would have to have 4 micro-usb cables going though, and InputMapper installed, but I'm sure you've already accounted for this.
  21. I would do an AHK tutorial, but I am really not qualified for that. All it would consist of would be "put this script here sometimes" . As for Overlays, yea I've been meaning to get to them. They're kind of a pain in the ass for RetroArch, but for MAME it's much easier and I could show that off. Both Overlays and Daphne are on the list though, sorry they haven't happened yet, there's just a lot to cover.
  22. I only ever use custom configs, but configs per core was certainly in 1.3.6.
