  1. Acorn Archimedes Game Boxes 3D View File A collection of 3D box images of games released for the Acorn 32-bit home computer series. It's not complete, as some games either have no artwork scans or very poor ones to work with. Box types and dimensions vary in line with the original game cases as far as I could discover. Some are already in the LaunchBox Games Database, with the remainder (for games that exist in the Database) being submitted soon. Included in this download, but not added to the LaunchBox Games Database are: 1. 3D box fronts for games not in the Database. 2. 3D box backs for some games. The Database does not support a Box Back-3D image field. 3. 2D front and back covers (face only, no spine) reduced to jpg format. Not included are boxes for non-game software (educational, utility etc.). When I decided to skip the non-game boxes, I'd already done quite a few. I did a cull, but some may have crept in. A few boxes in the Database may differ slightly from those in this download. Whenever edits were made the boxes were updated on the Database, but I may have slipped up here and there. Enjoy. 3. Many thanks @Jason Carr Guest topic reading is working again.
  4. Since the recent forums update a little earlier, I'm unable to browse topics as a guest and get the error below. When logged in then everything works as before the update. The error isn't making much sense to me.
  5. This TTL game is internal to MAME so there is no breakout.zip, unless the import process maybe creates a dummy one. The MAME command line for it is just mame64.exe breakout You can launch it through LaunchBox by making a dummy zip, or else, like I do, by pointing LaunchBox to just breakout.
  6. I haven't tried out that emulator. It's user manual seems all to do with the GUI, but if you run it with the parameter -h it should show a list of it's command line parameters.
  7. Emulating the Intellivision using the dedicated emulator Nostalgia is straightforward. You don't need to set any parameters in LaunchBox, everything can be set using the emulator's gui. However, you do need to source full versions of the grom and exec bins as the versions supplied with the emulator are crippled and will only run the games bundled with Nostalgia. You can also use MAME like I do.
  8. Some time ago, Jason updated LaunchBox to allow it to handle games like that in the style that MAME itself does. So, instead of making a dummy zip, you can just point LaunchBox to either a non existing zip such as gtfore06.zip like @DOS76 is doing or to the chd folder itself. This is what I do and have no problems launching games like Golden Tee Fore! 2006 Complete, Chaos Heat and XII Stag to name just a few that have no dumped game roms.
  9. @Quebert There was a game called Timber which was a tree felling 1984 Midway arcade game, but I don't believe it had caber tossing. The game's manufacturer, if you could remember it, would be a great help.
  10. @xllovera I'm not too sure whether you want to edit the theme or just hide the platform banners. In BigBox try going to Options, Images and disabling the Show Platform Banner Images tickbox
  11. You can check Craig's stuff out here. http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
  12. Hi @Codeen I'm on MAME 0.206 and my Neo-Geo CDZ games play just fine. Just retested Double Dragon. Regarding your Neo_Geo CDZ (US) bios not showing in the UI. With MAME 0.206, when you select the BIOS filter, the centre window lists all the arcade bios whether you have them or not. It does not show the bios for the console/computer stuff like Neo-Geo CDZ (US), Intellivision, Odyssey 2, ColecoVision (NTSC) and so on. The Available filter, which lists what you actually have, will show any non arcade bios you have such as your Neo-Geo CDZ (US) one. By the way, the Neo-Geo CDZ (US) bios (neocdz.zip) hasn't changed since late 2017.
  13. MAME arcade roms and software list roms should never be placed in the same folder, as some of these games have identical rom names but completely different internals. A bit out of my depth here, but I do remember that when MESS was independent of MAME, the various software list roms were supposed to go in folders named after the systems. I don't know if this applies to the MAME/MESS all in one we have today as I don't use software lists; the simpler console/computer media approach is just fine for me.
  14. I currently use standalone MAME 0.205 (mame64.exe) to emulate ColecoVision (console media not sw list). The system's romset aka bios, coleco.zip should contain the two files colecoa.rom 313 10031-4005 73108a.u2 The Default Command-Line Parameters for LaunchBox are coleco -cart When using MAME to emulate ColecoVision, MAME must know via it's configuration settings (ini file) where coleco.zip is. The actual ColecoVision games can be anywhere, as long as LaunchBox itself is pointed to them. The games can have the normal ColecoVision naming or be renamed to the MAME short naming, and be zipped or not. Example: Miner 2049er Starring Bounty Bob (USA).col can be renamed as mine2049.col both will work with MAME You can also do things such as zipping a Coleco named game and renaming the zip as the MAME short name. Miner 2049er Starring Bounty Bob (USA).col zipped as mine2049.zip
  15. Those images look like you may have issues with your MAME artwork lay files.
  16. I'm on Microsoft Edge, so it seems that theme retention may be browser based.
  17. I'm aware of the options at the screen bottom. However, changing the theme is temporary, as exiting and reopening the site defaults the theme. Hopefully Jason will extend solid backgrounds to the text in the All Activity main screen (and post previews) in line with the other views.
  18. The forums default theme has now been set to Invaders and it's not too distracting for most views. However, the All Activity view is now see-through and confusing, especially as this view is text based and needs a solid background. Is there any chance that this can be addressed, or else the original Dark theme can once again be made the default? By the way, when previewing this post, I've encountered the new theme background which makes reading text difficult.
  19. If you've deleted your 3D boxes and added your new ones and the new ones show in LaunchBox but BigBox is still showing the old, now deleted ones, then BigBox has the old ones cached. In BigBox go to Options, Images Cache and refresh all images. If the old images still show, then close and restart BigBox and see if the new ones now show.
  20. If you've managed to download avsp.zip from the mame-0205-full/ folder then you should be able to scroll down to the qsound and qsound_hle zips.
  21. Retroroms is always up to date usually within a day or so of a new MAME build. It's currently on MAME 205 and allows single rom downloads. Registration is required.

  24. Konami Arcade Games 3D Boxes View File A collection of 3D boxes in UGC format for arcade games made by Konami. These are just sourced flyers with homemade spines. This is not a full collection by any means as some titles are absent due to no suitable flyers found. As well as that, I've omitted the Casino, Endeavour and Dance/Rhythm/Music stuff. The boxes are mainly parent, although clones are included where either a suitable parent flyer couldn't be sourced or a clone flyer differed from it's parent and appealed to me.
