  1. Are your games in the default MAME roms folder or did you move them into LB. MAME by default is looking for them in the MAME root folder in a folder named ROMs if they are anywhere else you will have to go into the MAME.ini and edit the path to match yours.
  2. Most of the users here are using RetroArch with the Gens GX Plus core for most of our Sega needs and the Picodrive core for 32X games Yeah you would have to find out which set those other guys are using and try to find a corresponding version of MAME that or just grab the latest set which is currently 0.181 but this is going to change within the next few days when the new set is released. I would suggest that you get the latest version of MAME and the latest set when 0.182 is released it features some new audio settings that will improve latency. You can get the latest set though now and it will work with 0.182 version of MAME when it is released.
  3. If you already have media all you have to do is place it in the appropriate folder within the LB folder structure so if you have the front box art for Nintendo Entertainment System it will go in the LaunchBox root folder inside of Images>Nintendo Entertainment System>Box - Front you would do this for each system with the appropriate media types so for videos it would be the same except Images would be Videos>NES>FileName.mp4 BigBox works by launching the .exe the demo videos show how it works much better than I can explain. The program itself will use the info from LB for populating itself and you will have to go into the options and make changes to your themes and sometimes your views (in order to see certain elements of the theme)
  4. Most likely you are going to need @Jason Carrto help you with this one.
  5. You can use ctrl+a to highlight all games and then ctrl+e to open the bulk edit wizard and assign an emulator to all games in the platform for a quick fix but something the dev will have to look
  6. You can select all games by using ctrl+a then right click go to edit this will open the bulk edit wizard from there you can set an emulator for all games at once
  7. So everything is working it just won't let you update to the latest beta?
  8. That Living Legends track with Slug from Atmosphere is some hot shit good selection.
  9. Yes under settings>input>input hotkey binds is where all the controller magic happens in RA
  10. NP Neil glad it helped alot of other good things you can map too I use the hold key and up and down dpad to change save slots and left and right to change saved shaders hold and x axis on right stick to do volume control. Its a very powerful feature with a ton of options
  11. Yeah that was probably what was causing the checksum error also
  12. That checksum error would imply something not right with the rom I would think.
  13. I believe if you set things in certain menus though and they conflict the default system options will be used.
  14. Yes if you go to properties you can change things for all the games in that category at once you can add make all vertical games display on a certain monitor and the horizontal in another you can set all of your trackball games to use your mouse at once things like that. You don't select the games per say you are editing any game in that category.
  15. were it says vertical and horizontal you can right click that and set things for all games in that category I assume the other will let you do the same.
  16. Well that may come in handy for something else you want to bulk change at a later time.
  17. To bulk edit something go over to the side menu for working and right click that and go to properties that should change it for everything. That at least works for Vertical and Horizontal when setting up multi-monitors
  18. MAME is better but the choice is your of course.
  19. put the tag -skip_gameinfo in the LB associated platform for arcade will take away all but the warning about systems not being 100%
  20. BIOS files are included in the newest ROM sets to find what you would need you would have to parse the MAME .xml files and search by game what bios files it may need
  21. Ok I see you were comparing it not suggesting it, my bad. Just get new ROMs ever 3-6 months and either overwrite your old ones or change the path in LB and your MAME.ini its much easier.
  22. Brad if you look at VF3 from an old set and a new set there is one different file not an upgraded file but completely renamed a letter increase by one increment actually so having both of those files may cause conflict on a crc check plus its just extra space wasted
  23. I change the menu because Steam already comes up with my guide button I use both the thumbs together. I also don't use the menu for save states I use left thumb which is my hold key and left shoulder to save and left thumb and left trigger to load states RA has some awesome controller features
