Okay I tested this with both platform and the game ticked and the platform didn't work but when I went down and navigated to that platform it did start on the game that I had lasted played so it is working on the game level just not on the platform level for me if I use the Exit option on my controller.
-
So if you go into the menu and exit does it save your settings
-
I didn't realize you could mapp a one button exit in BB I'm not sure that was an option when I mapped my controllers if so I don't remember seeing it.
-
I'm assuming BB is doing the same thing in the controller automation but I could be wrong about that Jason could be using a different method to close the program.
-
It isn't saving it because that controller automation is force closing the application not actually exiting out of it cleanly there are emulators that won't save setting changes for the next time if you use the controller shortcut to exit for the same reason. write a ahk to send the X keyboard press instead of the close command that might close it cleanly.

Go to the BigBox.exe and right click on it go to properties and turn off display scaling should fix it in BB without you needing to change your scaling

Yeah I don't know I'm usually the only one online unless my brother is here and I've never checked how it would effect the other PC during usage that is an interesting thought. Quick question wouldn't your wife's mother in law be your moms?

Progotto has the sample pack for 181

I've recently done a 1200 game wii collection over my gigabit network I've gotten pretty good performance on loading the games and starting the title and menu screens but I haven't tested with any real play time yet

Zaxxon sounds awesome thanks for the knowledge on this there are a bunch of NES folders I can only assume they work to improve some games sounds in the NES software list
-
I'm going to say that that may be your issue but I don't know for sure how much the program has changed over the last 32 revisions.

Metroid - Rogue Dawn Game Media (NES) (Hack)
DOS76 commented on Riffman81's file in Nintendo Entertainment System
-
The file sizes vary so much I have videos that are 12,000KB and some that are 2800kb but only two seconds shorter its all over the place plus if you get more than snaps and get the 1080 recorded Hyperspin videos they are probably much bigger so you question is hard to quantify really sorry I can't be more specific.
-
Shit I didn't even know that I'm grabbing them now
-
It depends really on the number of games you have and which specific systems do you have really. My video folder is around 55GB and I don't know how many videos I don't have I haven't check lately on this PC what is missing. Obscure systems may have no videos where things like NES and SNES probably have one for over 90% of the games.

I only answered the question that I knew the answer too sorry.

By default X will exit BB it can be changed in the options under keyboard settings

You can edit the games in LaunchBox just right click on it choose edit and either change the name of it to the correct title if games have the right title but incorrect media you can delete all the incorrect images and media by right clicking on the image and choosing one of the options to remove it.

-
Did you try changing the input type that MAME is looking for they may allow it to work with the steam controller that quote is from the comments of this post here

theme CriticalZone / CriticalZone - BlueBox
DOS76 replied to CriticalCid's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
If anyone doesn't want to change their scale they could try going into the BigBox.exe properties go to the compatibility tab and turn off DPI scaling. I haven't tested this but it may have some effect and if not it's easy to turn back off.- 626 replies

I was thinking the same thing about the split as Brad was but if you were to do this on its own install couldn't you then upgrade and get an MS-DOS platform sml that you could just drop into your current installs data folder and not really risk anything going bad with you what you have already worked on.

So do you have the SNES games working in RetroArch without LB?
