  1. I'm really digging the style and simplicity of this theme! However, it would be great if the box artwork were somehow incorporated into the games list layout. Otherwise, fantastic work!
  2. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a way to keep the settings for Vice in its emulator folder, although there's an option which reads "Save settings to..." which didn't seem to work for me. Maybe there's another way around that issue, but I'm not sure.
  3. You might want to consider updating to the last version of Vice, which was released only about a month ago https://sourceforge.net/projects/vice-emu/files/experimental binaries/ That's been able to run pretty much 100% of the games I've tried, even with trainers. Also "Hoxs64" is another great emulator for the Commodore 64 and it runs pretty much everything with a slightly easier interface http://www.hoxs64.net/
  4. Wow! I really like all of the latest updates to this theme. Only thing I noticed was that the "ListBoxScrollCenterNS" plugin was included but not implemented into the textlistview. However, I was able to easily find a way to add the code in there, for anyone who wants the games list centered. (check the file below). Also, what would be nice is to have the same fanart view on the textlistview which is used in the platforms/systems list view. In other words, it would be nice to have something like this which is already available: with this for the games-list view And that would be the icing on the cake! TextListView.xaml
  5. Tested now and I couldn't really get the most out of it (for obvious reasons) since I'm using a 1920x1080 screen. But I do like the clean and basic style, as it would be great for anyone who wants to focus more on arcade games in their setup
  6. Sounds great and thanks a lot for the quick reply! Yep, the games text view looks incomplete, but I'm sure with a couple of extra things like the cover art, videos, etc. it will be perfect
  7. This theme is excellent! I especially like the categories/platforms view which helps make BigBox shine with a very professional and elegant touch. My only (2) gripes are related to the games text view and the games wheel view. The games text view really needs something else on the screen besides (only) text, possibly box artwork, gameplay video, or both on the right side? As for the games wheel view, it looks amazing with unique artwork for each platform, but the wheel artwork seems a little too small and sticks out in a not so good way. It would also be nice to have a vertical wheel, possibly as an option instead of the curved/circular wheel already there. But of course these are all very subjective gripes and with that being said, keep up the good work!
  8. Nicely done! I'm not sure how you accomplished this, but this LB theme speeds things up quite noticeably on my system. Thanks a lot for sharing this theme!
  9. I don't think these were ever released. I just checked the original youtube post and there's nothing there, not even in the comments section
  10. Great to see the updates! Keep up the good work!
Wow, this is an extremely ambitious and very detailed theme. I like the cover-flow version most of all as it stands out the most among all of the immensely detailed views. Great work!
  11. Back on topic. Happy new year everyone!
  12. I've had the same issue before as well and this most often means you need the bios for the roms you want to play. for example, if you want to play street fighter alpha 2, you need the qsound.zip (bios) in retroarch's "system" sub-folder. Or, the mame rom you have isn't the correct set
  13. No worries. I can see that a few other folks have chimed in to help, and getting back to my previous comment, I wouldn't really recommend a NUC system unless you absolutely need the small form-factor or space is a serious issue. You can get a whole lot better for a few dollars more I think the first choice (HP Envy) would be more than sufficient for what you need at a reasonable price
  14. With or without BigBox you can get by with the NUC, and there are some BigBox themes which work just fine. Although you'd obviously get faster and smoother performance with something like an i5 and a budget priced Nvidia.
  15. Coming from someone who owns a very similar NUC model to the one you mentioned, you'll have no problems running PS1 and N64 games along with Kodi and Launchbox. You'll also be able to run Dreamcast and Gamecube games fairly smooth as well, but not much beyond that. However, if you're using BigBox, some of the more detailed/complex themes do lag noticeably, so I'd recommend using the more simple themes with BigBox or spend a little extra money to get a faster CPU and dedicated video card
  16. Honestly, I really like the way this theme looks and wouldn't really change anything as i've been using it for the past few months. Though, it would be nice to have some different color schemes to choose from. But hey, that's probably just me
  17. Okay, good to know. Was getting conflicting answers here, but it seems like a few users were just confused with the PC version while answering the original post
  18. Thanks, I tried that but it still isn't working. @Jason Carr just wondering if this issue has come up before, or have you tried manually placing image files in with any success? I've made several attempts to add images which weren't provided during the importing process without any luck. Is it possible this is happening because the launchbox folder and the games folder are two separate drives? For instance, the launchbox folder is in the phone's root drive, while the games are in the phone's micro sd card
  19. I've just recently tried this using a .jpg with the exact same name as the game without any luck so far. Any suggestions, or could this be a possible bug?
  20. I don't think this applies to the Android version. Good luck trying to "right click" with your phone
  21. Okay, here we go Name: Don Age: 47 Username story: The "don" part certainly comes from my given name while the "bundang" is the name of the city where I first lived in when I moved to South Korea several years ago. It's a suburb city a few miles southeast of Seoul Favorite systems: Atari 2600, Sony Playstation 2, Switch Favorite game: From the past: Pitfall (Atari 2600), Currently: Super Mario Odyssey (Switch) Favorite genres: Adventure, Fighting, Racing FE scene recap: Started with MAME, ZSNES, Neorage, and a few others 20 years ago or so. Got back into the emulation scene with Hyperspin and switched over to Launchbox about 3 years ago. Once in a while I also code and 'decorate' some custom made themes within AttractMode
  22. Galaxy S10e is also an excellent device with the same cpu/gpu as the S10+ model at a much cheaper price but with a smaller screen
  23. Just out of curiosity, I tried all of the available Retroarch cores with some Sega Master System games and now I understand what you mean. No matter what kind of custom resolutions I set, each game has some weird stuff going on where the title screen is fine and lines up perfectly with my custom resolutions, but as soon as the game starts, the screen is suddenly smashed into a weird widescreen-blackbox effect. Does anyone out there know how to set this system up and keep a constant/set resolution in the video options within Retroarch? Edit: Never mind! I realized that some games look like that by design, although the resolutions do vary slightly from game to game. The only real way to solve this issue is to save the custom resolutions by overriding the options for each game, which is somewhat a hassle to do, but better than nothing I suppose.
