    They work fine in standalone MAME.

    You need to turn controller support on in Bigbox as well. Use Escape to get to the options and use arrow keys and Enter to navigate and select, and escape to go back. Just navigate to the controller section and enable it and select your specific controller. You can then also go to the "Mappings" section and set specific functions to specific buttons.

    Yup, just because they still see it doesnt mean that people who havent already purchased it do. Like any online store you can re-download previous purchases, but people searching for it on the store who are not previous purchasers WILL NOT see it for sale.

    It's probable the people still seeing it are the ones who already purchased it, so it's still available to download for them.

    Just right click and delete the platform.

    Just use the fullset importer and leave all the settings at the defaults, just change your region preference to what you prefer. You should get about 2800 games imported.

    Turning on freeplay in some games, not that its really needed with infinite credits, but some games do still have it as a option.

    Download a logo, name it the same as the platform and put it in Launchbox/Images/Platforms/name of platform/Clear Logo.

    People play for the fun of playing, if you are only playing for the hi scores i'd look into another hobby as games arent for you.

    There are actually shaders with overlays built right into Retroarch which will apply a shader and overlay with the correct proportions. Shaders/slang/handheld/borders.

    With all due respect "impossible" or impossible for you to match, cause that would be a big difference. Obviously skill levels of players will vary, so unless it is truly a "impossible" score it could just as easily be just a very good player.

    Startup times were improved in 10.12. I have 12,500 games in my setup and Bigbox loads in about 5 seconds from a sata SSD,

    Any chance someone can make platform banners for these platforms? MS DOS WiiWare Mega CD ZX Spectrum PAL SNES and PAL Sega Megadrive Thanks in advance if anyone could help me with these.

    This is because the files that you imported into Launchbox no longer exist. You will have to go platform by platform. Just delete the platform and re-import it, leave the get metadata option checked, but uncheck all the media downloads as you already have it all and it will re-attach after. There isnt a lot we can do if the files you imported are no longer available, you will have to do some manual work to associate the new files.

    Its been stated many times that this is for MAME only and wont work with retroarch. Also if you ask most people around these parts if you should use MAME or Retroarch for Arcade most would tell you MAME. If all your games were already working in Retroarch you dont need any additional files, the same files will work in MAME, as thats actually what they are made to be used with. And yes its not supported as we cant check for cheaters like we can in actual MAME.

    If you download from the forums you will likely need to rename them if they have more than two words in them, as underscores are added during the upload process. For example Playstation would be Sony_Playstation, you will need to replace the underscore with a space instead.

    Who uses save states for Arcade games when you can finish most of them in 15-20 minutes anyway.

    You realize having PAL version only will mean your games run slow right? I am in England myself and therefore grew up playing the PAL versions of games mostly (i had two friends with imported SNES and Megadrives for JAP/US releases), but always use US roms were i can simply for the speed increase.

    Thats expected behaviour. If you change the platform name new folders with that name are created and media is then stored there.
