Thanks Neil. Something else I have never changed. Guess I should get in there and mess around.
-
I knew one of our more expert resident mods like @neil9000 would clarify for me. I rarely mess around in RA user interface. As evident I still use the nonWindows UI that they now have available. I really should check that out. Looks cleaner.

You cannot compare what BigBox has as far as configurations go to was Retroarch has. One has nothing to do with the other. BigBox mappings are for BigBox alone and nothing else. If you are talking about a "confirm" or "back" while in Retroarch's UI then as you see they do not exist in their UI. You really need to use a keyboard when you move around in their UI. I am not sure you can actually use a controller to move directly in the UI. I have never tried to use one so I could be wrong. When you launch Retroarch.exe it shows you the version in the bottom left of the screen.

What do you mean "Ones that are exposed by the application"? What else are you trying to map that would not be exposed in RA? Not really sure why you are having issues. I would suggest maybe back that version up somewhere just in case and then download a new clean RA and set it up from scratch and see if you can get it right. Maybe something corrupted the current version. What you are wanting to do can be done in Retroarch. My Tankstick stays connected in the main cabinet. I have an Xbox One and some 8Bitdo controllers (all wireless) that also connect to that pc when I am playing console games in RA. I do not have to reconfigure anything anytime I start up the controllers. I would first spend time setting up RA and not worry at all about Launchbox/BigBox. Set up RA and test it to make sure all the controls are set how you want them for all the platforms you will use. Once you have that right it will just work in Launchbox/BigBox since they have no control over nor do either of them alter any emulators controller configs.

I have seen some random posts with a couple members having something similar. An emulator will work fine with Startup in Launchbox, but in BigBox they have issues. I think there is a couple references in the beta thread. Likely something Jason would have to see if he can replicate. Like @Lordmonkus it is working fine for me.

If you turn off Startup theme options for Redream emulator and then exit a game in Redream from BigBox does it exit properly?
-
@neil9000 I only stumbled across those new edits a few days ago setting something up. @Dexll Glad you can get sorted now.

There is a feature already to handle this. However, I am not sure if it is in the beta only or if the stable version has it as well. You can bulk edit your PC games by choosing all the ones you want, right click and edit. Look for "Startup Screen - Override Default Settings" and choose. In the next screen check the box in the Value" field. Click next and then finish the wizard. Now if you right click a PC game and scroll to the Startup tab when you click the customize button you should see the default is overridden and Startups are turned off for your PC games. Just tested on my PC games and works fine. The pics below are from just now doing it.

Street Fighter 5 on PC correct? I play it frequently and can easily exit any type of match without having to wait to loose. Just hit my back button that is mapped and it brings up option to return to main menu.

N64 games dont start in launchbox- they start fine in Retroarch

You likely have something not set right in Launchbox. Check to make sure you have the Nintendo 64 platform listed in the associated platforms tab of your Retroarch emulator setup in Launchbox. Make sure you have it listed the exact way you have it showing as a platform in Launchbox. For example, If you call it N64 in Launchbox make sure you call it N64 in the associated platform. Also make sure in the same tab you have the correct core listed that you are using for N64 in Retroarch. -
Yes, LB is primarily where these type of edits will take place to affect both systems.
-
This is all possible. You can create a new Platform Category called Playlists. Then you can edit the playlists and have them show only there. As well you can edit any playlist and specify if you want it to show under Arcade.
-
Just map your key or controller in the settings. Then hit the button(s) you mapped to activate the pause. Not much too it. LB and BB have settings to map controller or key as well as a section in the settings to manage the Pause Themes.
-
I am not at home to check, but maybe there is a transition setting in BigBox. There is an option in the settings for Transitions. Check there.
-
Not sure on the transition. The code change should work though. I tested modifying the Unified Redux theme and it works fine. Here it is just displaying a wallpaper I just place and named Marquee.png Pay no mind to the second line of code it is just an affect to fill the screen if needed.
-
You have to go into BigBox settings and set the key/button you want to trigger the pause screen. Look in the Automation options. It is also currently only available in the beta version.

That is what I am wondering. I use basically the stock settings in Cemu. Except for maybe a couple minor game recommendations. I only have about 10 games so... I just tested 3 Cemu builds and all seem to have no issues with Startups or Pause (versions 1.15.2, 1.15.4b, and 1.15.5c).

Change you source to read: Source="{}pack://siteoforigin:,,,/Themes/Marquee/Images/Marquee.png"
-
What theme are you trying to edit? If it is the default theme you cannot edit it.
-
I just removed Nvidia's Geforce Experience. It has been known to cause issues with LB/BB. I usually do not have it installed because of this, but I updated some drivers and forgot I installed it to test something.
-
Pause Screens: PPSSPP - working well (no issues). ReDream - working well (No issues). Cemu (version 1.15.4b) - working well (no issues). Kega Fusion - works well if you set resolution to match your monitor. Startup Screens: PPSSPP - working well (no issues). ReDream - working well (No issues). Cemu (version 1.15.4b) - working well (no issues).
-
Yes to both. I did not mention Startups since those have worked fine for me the last few betas. I guess it would have helped the list to confirm. I edited the original post.
-
Tested over two days frequently changing games and going in and out of pause screen multiple times in each game and then testing each game several times. Pause Screens: Model 3 (SuperModel) - worked well (no issues). Model 2 - the more times I went in and out of pause I would get black screen or frozen image, but still heard audio. CXBX-Reloaded - working well (No issues). Xenia - working well (no issues). ePSXe - working well (no issues). Startup Screens: Model 3 (SuperModel) - worked well (no issues). Model 2 - worked well (no issues). CXBX-Reloaded - worked well (no issues). Xenia - worked well (no issues). ePSXe - worked well (no issues).

When you manually deleted it was Launchbox opened or closed?
