For those that are interested...I added a Hacks video to the Platform Category set in the downloads section. It was a patreon request, but,I decided to make it public.

Thanks, this looks cool but I can't download it. You may need to re-upload it again. I will now need to add a hacks category to my setup just so I can use this video. I can't get over how good this theme is. This beats anything I ever had with Hyperspin.

on the new 9.0 with auto-generated playlists, i am getting the arcade video border for the "all games" playlists in the console, computer and handhelds category with the default Refried theme.  Also, in the category view, the other playlists show the default silver border and not the platform specific border. Not sure if this is a bug with the theme or due to the new version of LB/BB, or just my setup.  The unified redux theme works fine.

no worries.  just wanted to put it out there in case it was an issue or if it was just me.  Custom playlists only do the default silver border but i am thinking that is more a capability of BB.  I am not sure if there is a way to have the video border change based on the platform the game is from, so it probably just uses a default border.

@RetroHumanoid When you get back online, take a look at the minor changes I made to Unified Redux. You guys can probably get everything all working again with 9.0 by editing the files in the views folder, searching for "FilterTitle" and replacing them all with "NonPlaylistNonCategoryPlatformTitle".

Quick question that I'm not sure how to ask, so I'll just give an example...

If I were to take RH's GBA theme for this and copy the entire folder into a new theme folder meant for, say, GBA Video for those majesco video carts for example. How could I do this without Big Box referencing the original GBA theme  folder?

Here's what I did. I took the GBA theme, made a new folder called "GBA Video", copied all the files over into that folder, modified the logo artwork to say "Game Boy Advance Video" and use the GBA SP console image instead of the default but when I go back into Big Box, it's still pulling the original GBA theme art work. I set the individual theme for "GBA Video" so it's pointing to the right folder and I refreshed the image cache. So I'm going to assume there's something inside the folder that's referencing the original GBA theme since all of the contents are copies except for the artwork I edited. The original artwork from the GBA theme is not present in the GBA Video theme folder so I'm not sure why it's showing up.

It's probably right in front of my face but I dont know enough about theme making to probably see it. This theme is amazing and I'm very particular about organizing my systems. Hopefully, if it's something easy I could edit in like a line in an xml file, I could help contribute some themes for this. Maybe cover some of the more nuanced systems that could be glossed over.

How do you fix the Arcade Genres? It always goes back to the main arcade border and artwork instead of using the arcade border to match the genre. The above fix does not work for Arcade games, at least I couldn't make it work.  Will have to wait for Retrohumanoid to fix this.

I am not at my place to let you know exactly, so don't know if this is like this, but the xaml views might have file paths assigned in them. What you can do is open all the view files of your new GBA Video folder with Notepad++ for example, and do a 'Find in all opened documents' and search for terms like gba, game boy, or any other that the GBA images from the original theme might be called, and you will find a path pointing to them. Just modify it to get to your new file.

The above fixed everything just fine for me in the Unified Redux theme, but I'm guessing maybe @RetroHumanoid must have changed something related to that if it's not working for the Refried theme.

Thanks for the advice! That solved the issue I was running into! All four views have a directory defined within the xaml.

Something odd I noticed, and sorry if this has been discussed before.  When I am in the Apple II platform list (Using Unified - Apple II theme) I get the checkered background.  However, when I am in an Apple II playlist but using the exact same theme (Unified - Apple II) I get the white and pink background.  Using the same theme, shouldn't I get the same background?  Just wondering if there's any way to get the checkered background in a playlist.

Thanks again for the great work on this theme!

Updating the theme now so this will be sorted out

Not sure why you had this issue,as mine doesn't display any problem like this...but,glad you got it sorted

So you mean,if you have a playlist called "Sucky Games"...the border is the default border?..That is because I have not created a border called "Sucky Games"...any custom playlists will have to have artwork made for them as well, and it's impossible to cover every playlist,or possible playlist,so I just covered what is on my machine.

I am not sure if there is a way to change the border by game, and I highly doubt there is,but,it is also not something I plan on implementing.

**btw..I am back online..and I have reuploaded the Hacks platform category video,I have uploaded like 65+ more Refried platform videos, and I am currently working on an update for the main theme,as well as all addon themes to incorporate the new playlist functions in some way**

@RetroHumanoid I hope you dont mind but I reworked a couple of existing themes to create new ones for this setup. I figured you made most of the major stuff so I'd work on a couple of nuanced themes. Mostly a SNES (PAL) theme that I saw someone request in this thread. I also did ones for the Nintendo Game Boy Player, GBA Video, and Nintendo iQue. Feel free to add those to your download list if you approve of them!

Also, if you or anyone else would like to create any, I'm still looking for themes to go with the Philips Videopac G7000, Philips Videopac+ G7400, Mattel Hyperscan, Capcom CPS Changer, Neo Geo X, Neo Geo Mini, N-Gage, NEC Turbo Express, PC Engine GT, and Sony PlayStation 4 (More of just a placeholder).

I will eventually get around to making them myself but with my work schedule right now, it makes it pretty difficult to find time.

Hope you guys find these useful!
